[Q] Phone not factory resetting after failed update - HTC Desire S

Hiya everyone,
Today I received a new system update on my HTC Desire S, I installed it but it didn't complete succesfully and then my phone completly froze.
I tried factory resetting but it doesn't work, it just ends up freezing completly. It does go past the HTC screen but after that there is nothing.
My phone is completly stock, not rooted or modded in anyway.
Is there some simple solution i'm just overlooking?
Thanks in advance

[Q] [HELP] The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly

i recently bought a htc Desire S. it was working fine, for day or so. now every time i start it i get 'The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly' if i press wait.. it lets me get through a few of the setup options, then it does it again, and sometimes does the same for process .com.htc.bgp (but only once). if i press force close, it keeps rebooting and just shows the htc logo.
so i cannot start the phone.
ive tried a factory reset (twice) with no luck, i have tried 'solutions' from many threads, none seem to work. is there a way i can re-install android 2.3 or something?
does same thing in safe mode.
thankyou.
If you've only just bought it then I'd take it back for a replacement, it sounds like a hardware fault to me.
Only other thing I can think it might be would be a faulty SIM card. Have you tried booting it without a SIM in?
Could try without sim and sd card
You could r flash an ruu, but as it's new you'd be better off to just take it back and ask for another one
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA Premium App

I'm doing well, you have to pull out a battery for a while and then come back it goes.

[Q]Stuck at Erasing Data, Need Help![Q]

Hi guys,
Went out today and purchased a new phone planning to give my Nexus 5 to my sister. Get home and start to do a factory data reset on my Nexus 5 and it's stuck on erasing data, where it has now been for the last 30 minutes. I am running the latest version of Android 4.2.2, the phone was functioning without issue before this.
I have tried getting into the recovery menu, it doesn't work, I have tried powering off, it just restarts. I have even plugged the charger in but it's doing the same.
Really need some help guys, Mike.
UPDATE ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'S COME BACK TO LIFE. SORRY GUYS PLEASE DELETE THREAD MODS.

[Completed] Moto G(First gen) bootloop + USB won't detect my phone

I got a Moto G First generation (X1032) with lollipop 5.1
A few weeks ago I had the option to do a update, after I installed the update my phone was restarting and it now gets stuck in a bootloop. I can still come to the bootloader.
When I connect my phone to my computer it won't install, so I can't acces my phone.
My phone needs to startup in order to install it, but that's not possible because it will get in a bootloop.
My phone was rooted, but I fully unrooted it before I did the update.
Is there anyway to survive my phone? Already tried factory reset, but that won't do.
Thank you for your time.

Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist
My guess is that you need to flash again the stock ROM.
You ended up into a bootloop because you may changed some system files, and for each update the installer is checking that.
There are two situations:
- The update process will went good but you will be stuck into a bootloop
- The update process will be interrupted directly from the recovery
Here is a good guide about how to get back to stock.
Good luck!
