Hi everybody,
I don't want final users to access windows settings so I tried to hide everything related to that (Destop access, windows buton).
So i would like to know if there's an API that would allow one of those things :
Disable or hide the windows button
Disable or hide the tray bar containing the windows button
I've heard that SPB could fill my need, but for now, I don't want to use it (only for money reasons )
My device is running under Windows Mobile 6.5.3

Hi everyone,
Has anyone found out a way (or maybe a program?) that will enable custom keyboard shortcuts in Windows Mobile?
I'm thinking of simple stuff, like CTRL+(X), (X) being any letter...
I'd just like to be able to launch programs that way. Any ideas?
Is it possible to show the start menu without also showing the task bar? I guess 3rd party software can render a copy of the start menu, but is there a way to do it with vanilla windows mobile?
I am using pointui home2, not coding a windows app, so some way to do it apart from that would be nice - An exe I can bundle with a theme would be OK, but a command line switch to an existing windows exe would be better
So i have a diamond and i tried some roms, but on some i noticed that the start button was down left and i liked that it came more handy 4 me.Is there a way to move the start buton down left in any rom i chose or it depends on rome version and canot be changed.
there are two ways to do this
the first is to use a 3rd party application like wisbar advance desktop (costs money) with this you can get loads of different types of themes and other modifications
the second is to flash a winmo 6.5 rom thats based on a build over 23047 (i think) in these new roms the entire face of windows mobile has been changed
the start button is down at the bottom as is the X or ok button and the softkeys are they aswell
both excellent options above, but wanted to throw another into the mix if anyone is interested and doesn't want to do rom flashes and/or paid/bloated apps to do this.
I Used a small EXE (4.5 Kb) by Shubaroo.com called StartMenu.exe
http://www.shubaroo.com/index.php?module=startmenu
That simply toggles the existing WinMo Start Menu on/off.
I then mapped my Left Soft-Key (on my Fuze) to execute The StartMenu.exe via a registry Hack at:
\HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112 (left Key)
changed the value of "Default" to "Start"
and "Open" to the "\full-path-to\startment.exe"
\HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\113 (is the right key)
You can use Total Commander to edit the registry on a windows mobile phone, but you could also use any Button Mapping app out there to do the same thing (AE Buttons is good), but again I'm into running as few apps as possible so I found the registry hack best.
This tip doesn't move your existing start bar to the bottom, it simply just maps a more thumb-friendly button to opening the existing start-menu.
Hope that helps!
Is this possible?
I'm running an older EnergyROM (Warhawk, I think) using WinMo 6.5. I have Onenote Mobile in my applist, but I'd really like to be able to hit Action and choose "Note" from the action menu and have it launch Onenote instead of notepad.
Is there a registry setting I can change somewhere to enable this? Thanks.
Here's what I have:
Fuze/ATT
ROM - Windows MobileĀ® 6.5.x
CE OS 5.2.23533 (Build 23541.5.5.0)
Radio - 1.14.25.35
Protocol - 52.64c.25.35U
The Captain's Special - Sense 2.1 - Build 23541 - FUZE Edition
I like the CHome setup ... but.
I use SPB phone suite, and SPB has basically said they have no interest in dealing with titanium - they are only supporting it as a today screen plugin.
So, it looks like my best bet to have the functionality of all three things (if I want it) is to use TFDetacher AND SecondToday, have second today run phone suite and launch on start up, and have TFDetacher load the WindowsDefault home screen with TF3D as a toggled item.
My question to you:
Do you know of any profile switcher program designed as a titanium plugin that I could then use CHome Editor to add to the home screen?
The functionality that phone suite has, that I have not seen in other programs like phoneweaver, is to establish whitelists and blacklists of phone numbers that can be tied to a time based profile, so that, for example, only family can reach me at night ....
edited to add:
It seems to be working with Co0kie's Home Tab, and second today set as a quick link, WITHOUT telling it to run at start up.
I'd still like to find something that can become a Titanium plugin, because right now, I am NOT using TFDetacher because having that and SecondToday running at the same time seemed to be wicked laggy (yes, I'm in Boston).
