3ds emulator - LG Optimus 3D

Is it possible to get a 3ds emulator on the optimus3d ??
Thx
Sent from my LG-P920 using XDA App

Not thing is impossible. We just need someone to start with it. However, i was hope someone to start with psp first, since they already have source code available. It also playable on pc too

It is unlikely to have a 3ds emulator and here's why....
Even on a pc an nds emulator (DeSmuME) requires a minimum 2 Ghz dual core cpu and 512Mb ram and the Android ds emulator from Tiger Labs also requires a very high spec android device just to work and even then is incomplete and is unusable so no it's not likely O3D will get a 3DS emulator.
Dave

We are about to getting to quad-core cpu. Nothing is impossible. Did you know tegra 3 almost powerful as ps3? Did you know samsung provide quad-core chip for sony's vita? Anyway, i m going to post psp emulation info. So someone can start to work on it

i would definetly use a psp emulator over a 3ds one

The question was not "will we ever get a 3DS emulator on any android device" but specifically will we get one on optimus 3D so no we won't get one, maybe a Tegra 3 device could in the future but the dual core 512mb optimus 3D is not powerful enough.
Dave

Thx dave that sucks

Not to mention it would be unwieldy trying to play a 3DS game on 1 small screen. I'd rather have a PSP emulator w/ support for the 3D Converter App

Ah vita emulator now thats for the future to emulate

Drastic nds emulator is out and runs smoothly on single core devices
All we have to do is wait for 3ds emulation Devs to start up the project!!

could you please...
Downloading Emu... Ill let you guys know, Do you know any decent N64 emu? Ive tried Mupen and not so good on a quad core with 2Gb Ram

And this NDS Emu just gives a white screen and then closes... does it need a BIN like the GBA Emu? What ROMS are you playing?

I have tried pokemon pearl/platinum/white/white2,mario (torrent downloaded many from which 2 out of 7 din't work)
Since this emulator just came out I think you should inform the developer which games are not working and he'll try to fix it!
Happy emulating!

N64 emulator?

I've heard there is a good one. Where is it and what is it called?
There was one but it was taken off the market. It was called n64oid. It was taken off due too bugs and complaints , Mario 64 and zelda ran smooth as the real thing for me

Yep, N64oid... He was taken off the market, but will come back, as stated by the creator of the app
I have it and it is working just fine for me, if you want unlimited free Apps then go to applanet.net on your phone and download it from there

In my opinion... Fpse is the best PSX emulator. It is much faster than psx4droid.
Here is the link for the n64 emulator and as for the Roms, I would recommend rom buddy.

Remember this is only compatible with Highend devices but if you want to try it on your phone then try it.

Yeah, I agree with you there. FPSe is way better than PSX4Droid or whatever it's called, but it's not as well known. But schtrucks, the creator, has been developing FPSeCE, the Windows Mobile version, for many years, and he just released FPSe, the android version recently, but it's already as good and advanced as the winmo version because he already knew what to optimize from the years of working on FPSeCE.
gahh tried this on my HD2 and it's lagging like crazy.

Many phones can - (the ones with 1Ghz+). It plays fine on phones like google nexus s and other 1Ghz+ phones.
Slightly laggy on a galaxy s. Playable, but you will hear the music skip frequently. I hardly notice any lag at OC 1.2ghz
I have had fairly good success running N64oid on a CM7 Nook Color OC'd to 1.2ghz. Can't give you a frame rate but Goldeneye, Starfox and Mario 64 all run smooth enough. (Sometimes it lags during cut scenes). I've also tried Perfect Dark and Rogue Squadron, but those won't even open on the newest version.
The Nook hardware is hardly latest generation. I would probably compare it to the original Droid.
I have a vibrant and it works flawlessly with no lag at all

I think a dreamcast emu is the last console to ever work on the xperia play and that might be a long time away.
I've been using emulators for years now and I think the general rule of thumb is that you need 10x the processing power of the original console to be able to run the games at full speed.

Yea my info of 10x was from years ago too so things could be different now but the n64 had a 93.75mhz processor so theoretically we won't really be able to have any newer consoles emulated to be playable. And I have also tried many emulators in my gaming computer and the gamecube emulator runs like crap.

sorry i meant ATI graphics not NVIDA, i get confused, im more of a console gamer its just onboard graphics too that came with the CPU chipset. either way its far more powerful that the sexplay, it can play 1st generation 360 games like bioshock, but not the GC emulator
GC emulation is underdeveloped. Last I checked, the building instructions for Dolphin took two pages...
gamecube/wii emulation on pc works quite good for me. Not all games but most games do. Just hook up a x360 controller or wii motes and use upscaling+anti-aliasing and you can get better graphics out of it then the cube/wii can themselves.

A Gamecube emulator? Lol.
The most "powerful" console you will emulate on a Xperia Play is a Nintendo 64. And with a lot of luck and work, maybe a Dreamcast, but that's far, far away from being a reality.

Pokemon Emulators

Hey any sound advice for getting pokemon games on my skyrocket? I'm researched it and it seems there are ways to get some older ones on, but I was wondering if the newer black/white era ones were available.
Thanks
No the black and white games are ds games. There aren't any ds emulators that I know of. I play leafgreen and emerald and they play great on a gba emulator.

There is nothing wrong with emulating games and talking about them in these forums. One thing that should not be allowed is uploading the games or giving links to download them. They should be backups of the games you own.

What he said. NDS emulators on phones are still a ways off. I believe the major problem would be simulating two screens at once. But there are other emulators that let you play Pokemon games from GBA and GBC. Personally I think GameBoid and GBCoid are the best. They are very fluid when playing games and I rarely ever have issues with them. I actually just finished a run of Pokemon Yellow the other day. Lots of great memories.

It can be done, it just probably wouldn't look very good or wouldn't be very easy to program that in. But some PCs have issues running DS games. They typically require good CPUs.
I have a Intel Core i5. DS games run fine on it, they make my fans go off like crazy though, just saying.
They did start a DS Android port, but our devices are pretty slow for it. It's not like running a Gameloft game which is optimized.
The Bell released version of this phone has not got its update to ICS and I am encounteringa problem where on any of the "oid" family of emulators where the A and B buttons overlap on the transparency layer. In short, pushing either button counts as pushing both. Rendering the emulator useless. Is anyone able to confirm if the SkyRocket had the issue pre-ICS update?
I am running emulators on stock gb from my skyrocket without any issues. I use slideme market to get the really good emulators from Yongzh. They are all free but don't think they have been updated since google pulled them from the market/play store.

First - they should give GTA VC in correct date. We didn't get it, and now thinking about San Andreas....It's too fast.
I'm not so sure. GTA San Andreas was a huge leap forwards. I have no doubt the current flagship devices will have problems running it, but our beloved Play?
San Andreas is the best gta IMO and as much as I'd love it on my play I highly doubt it will happen maybe on a note 2 ect
But we can only hope!
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Gta sa wont run on our xperia play, MAYBE it will in the note 2 and im prety sure that it will run in most of the 2013 devices.
Sent from my Note 2 using xda premium
I dont think it will happen anytime soon and our play will be long out of date by the time it comes out, but i see no reason why they couldnt run the game on the play they had it running on the ps2 not perfectly but good enough to play it so i think it could run on the play, but i dont think it ever will
In my opinion - it should work on Play with Chainfire 3D, minimum resolution amd graphics, and problem with possibly no optimization can be fixed with GameKeyboard. But hope they can make optimize for us, and work on lowest settings. My dream - San Andreas on Play ....

thats not necessarily true, the ps2 only had a 300 mghz processor I think the reason the other ports dont run the best isnt because of the phones hardware but in shortcuts taken in the process of porting them over.

In my opinion, PS-genre emulators are growing and maturing slowly. Porting them to handheld just means more time to get it STABLE and DEPENDABLE.
Though, I am too, curious about it, mate.

More or less stable emulator exists only for PS one
Devices need to be ALOT more powerful than the device they are emulatoring, this is why PSone emulators are only just becoming good now, and also why you do not get Xbox360/PS3 emulators for PC (even high spec ones)
Consoles are specially designed hardware. So its emulation on other devices is really a tough thing to do. Because other devices cant render the high bit rate polygones and for that devs use other ways and delays. Which is resource consuming and overall quality is affected.

It is impossibile now to see a PS2 emulator on Android. The current hardware isn't powerful enought to run PS2 games on an emulator. However, there are two PSX emulator that run great on Android. One of these is FPSE.

The reason that we need so much resources to run emulators is because they are not the true Game System OS. it's just taking a rom and translating it to something that's usable.
If we could get our hands on the true source code of a console, then that's when you would see smooth fast emulators...
