Try this
http://www.netmite.com/android/srv/1.6/getapk.php
you can convert JAR to APK
Our spicas comes with a built in apk, it is a Java VM, and it let you load java from the SD card I think. You should get that apk.

[Q] why can't my Bluetooth receive apk files

Can't receive apk from other cellphones? Other files are OK.. but other files are denied .. does this have anything to do with certificates?or does this have a work around
used just two times and it works for me,
but i was using appmanager utility from jrummy, and codename rom
if i didn't get wrong... used share (by bluetooth) option instead of send (via bluetooth)
maybe this can help you
Ill try that method ... I'm still at stock rom. I will post if there's any change

i tried a SE elm to send a apk file and still my nexus S rejects it, may be your stock rom has been tweaked already, maybe its embedded in the system... i dont know pls anyone help me out here ? it would be much appreciated and with my deepest gratitude
Maybe my own method can help you.
Change file's name on file explorer (ES, Root Explorer..anyway).
Bluetooth.apk to Bluetooth.jpg
Send Bluetooth.jpg via Bluetooth.
After sending progress is end, change jgp to apk and install it.
I usually use this method when my brother(Samsung Galaxy S, Korea model) gets a funny game.
Hope it works!
Well that worked but it was a bit too tasking ..thanks anyway ..

I have been using other cwm but still can not receive apk files from other devices .. is there any solution other than changing the file extension will be accepted?

Hi,
I'm not an android developement expert but have a question about your advice.
If we delete only the app from /system/app folder (and nothing more. via root explorer), won't it cause trouble?
I would like to give an example for clearing this issue in my mind. In windows, if we just delete the exe file from the Program Files, it doesn't mean we uninstalled the program. It still lefts dll files etc. Is it like this in android?
I asked this because I wanna uninstall the apk's in my custom rom like Google Player or DSP Manager. The developer installed them inside the custom rom, so they look like system apps and as a result I can't uninstall them...
replace them via root explorer and check the permission for new file then restart your device and it will work

adroid system are module style, a apk consist of every thing needed to run the apps. but some app need extra lib file, if you can find the lib file used by a apk to run, than you can delete it form system/lib too.
Exactly what the post above said. Some system apps have .lib files (like windows dll) but i would leave them if i were you because your replacement apps might have dependancies on those lib files. Im not entirely sure.
Also, the libs are stored in system/lib

nono ...i copied the apk files from an ics rom tried to put in gingerbread rom...and whie installing i got this error!!
Apps specially for ICS won't work in gb roms. These 2 version of roms are quite different.
Pls don't simply mess up with the roms version.

Btw, if you back up your original rom's apk files, there is a chance to use them on your custom roms. It has a higher chance if your custom is based on your original rom.
For example, I backed up samsung's music player and photo editor apk on original DDLF2 and installed them on my custom Frankestain rom. Now I'm using them with no problems. I must mention, the original fm radio apk didn't work on custom rom, as it needen some special libraries/frameworks.

So this is a weird one...

N/M Sorted.
Oh ok because I found some xml files which say:
error.xml
safemode.xml
main.xml
popup.xml
Also I found a HTML file which is viewed when you open the application and some of the files mentioning some naughty stuff.
I will send the file to the virus labs.
What did you install before this issue occured?

Confused about this notification...please help

Ok, yes I've searched. Yes files are all mp3. Yes I'm confused...ok so I usually download mixtapes off this website datpiff.com on a computer and then transfer songs via USB cable to my phone through windows media player, everything works great, bada Bing bada boom. Now today due to lack of a computer to use I decided to download a mixtape using the browser on my phone as I would do on a computer, extract files using root browser, and push them into my music app. Now the problem I'm facing is the music player is telling me it does not support that type of audio file. Km stumped, confused, bewildered...if anyone can give me a point In the right direction or fill me in on how to get the files to work simply from my phone id greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance guys. Much appreciated.

Are they in a zipped archive that needs to be unzipped? Possibly try to download the app called rescan Media In case they were moved after the download

Well when I first download yes they are in a zipped file but I extract them to a different folder. Doesn't that mean they're unzipped then?
