My plan is in my girlfriends name and we get an 8% discount and still pay like $160 a month for 2 lines. Through my job I get an 18% discount but verizon wants $150 per line to switch the account to my name....point of this story - I will live with 8% lol.

I got mine as an "out of box special" (review model) from Handtec. Cost £351 including shipping. At the time, that was about $500aud. Compare that to signing up for a 2-year contract with the most expensive telco in the country, costing around $2k all up, and it looks like I got the bargain of the century.

New line for razr?

Just curious, what do you guys do, I was thinking about somehow opening another line on my family plan for the razr. Sounds like it would cost the extra $40 per month? Doubt I could keep the unlimited data.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
You could always do that and just use the line as a backup or something.
Generally whenever you open up a new line, it's a brand new activation and adhere's to the carrier's current policies which means no unlimited data for it unless you activate the phone under your own line that has unlimited data.
I don't know how it would only cost 40 bucks I added a line on mine for my gf an it pretty much doubled the phone bill its almost 200 a month now.

This thread leads me to a question. I'm currently on a family plan with my cousin. It's only us 2 and she's the account holder. She has a 2 year contract on her iPhone 4 and so do I with my TB. If I were to purchase a Droid Razr for the insane amount of whatever it costs without a contract, and want to make that one my everyday phone, would it be possible to keep our current unlimited data plan? Or would we have to sign another 2 year contract for the both of us and lose our grandfathered unlimited data?

If you buy it off contract it doesn't renew or change ANYTHING on your current plan, so you should be able to keep unlimited data when you activate it.

Attn: Rogers Users - New 6GB Super Plan Available Now

Stumbled across this today. When I signed my contract with this phone back in April they were offering the same deal except ONLY 1GB of data. Now for the same price ($60/mo) you can have all calling features currently offered with the old $60 plan but also with 6GB of data! They're only offering it until August 8th, so act quick if you want to get in on this deal.
Do you know if this is compatible with family plans?

Updated my plan last night. No issues. 5GB extra for nothing, apparently!
I had this plan already but it was $10 more, so I switched it . It is an LTE plan. I also have half-price voicemail & call display from the promo they had a few months back
I had just switched to this plan as well. I had the old $30 6gb data plan but it didn't work on LTE.
Now we get 6gb of LTE data! Amazing!!
Tack on $7 mini call display and voicemail and I'm looking at $67 before tax. Not too shabby.

I do know that you can use Data Sharing with it. Is that the same thing?
just called them.
it's actually a combo plan,
Includes:
6gb lte dataplan
200 mins weekly
my 10 canada wide
unlimited evening from 6 pm
mini voice mail ( 3 voice mails)
for 60
+ call display, call forward for 7
so 67 before tax
you can keep your bonus, but will lose all your discounts...
hope that helps
I'll be paying the 67$ for all of the below but I also have 20% discount still applied to the account plus a 5$ credit promo from my original signup 5yrs ago. Total 56.05$ I must say that this is a sweet deal.
Previously it was 78$ - the 20% - 5$ and I only had 1GB. Total vas 64.88$
I think it's a nice trade off.

There's unlimited messaging included.
I spoke to a rep who stated that tethering is not included.
Another rep told me that even though tethering was not included, I could still use wifi hotspot. (even though it's the same thing)
Regardless, as long as you're running a custom ROM you will never get charged for tethering.

Rogers doesn't charge for tethering, you're just required to have 1GB minimum in order to do it.
10 gb lte data
You guys missed the 10GB of LTE data option that they had a month ago. It was 50 dollar add on all you had to do was get a voice plan as well. I pay about $80 a month now and I really enjoy the 10 GB. I also have my 10, unlimited evenings and weekends, unlimited txts. I find complaining once and a while does wonders especially with rogers for some reason. Bell I never had any luck with but Rogers isn't bad.
Just called Rogers and switched to this awesome plan!

A better deal for our beloved Note 3 especially in California

And how aren't you paying full price at another carrier? Because they don't tell you your higher monthly bill includes the cost of the phone? It all works out to the same. At least T-Mobile allows you to have a lower service charge if you're bringing your own device.

I have family plan with 3 lines.
but let just do example on 1 individual line.
individual line 39.99 + 30$ (3gb data) = 69.99 a month.
69.99x24months=1679.76 + 299.99 for note3=1979.75
I pay total 1979.75$ for 2 years on att.
now you do your math on tmobile for 2 years with this bull**** 24 installments and tell me how much.
T-Mobile only has unlimited talk and text and from the price your plan is not. Also no 3gb equivalent so 2.5 gb will do. $60(services)x24+700=$2140. T-Mobile is more in this case but the services are different as stated.
If you want to compare a similar voice plans att charges for $70 just the talk and text.
Stop trying to compare apples and oranges.

why should I compare it to unlimited talk and text plan?
I don't need unlimited !
when is the last time you on phone over 15 minutes? haha
Google voice give you FREE incoming and outgoing texts!
why should I pay unlimited texts when you don't need it?
it's like going to buffet for breakfast! when you only able to eat ham and eggs for breakfast.
why you need to waste money on breakfast buffet?
what you doing is paying for stuffs you don't need!

No one is asking you to pay for stuff you don't need you said to compare the two prices so I did. My initial statement is that other carriers are still charging you for the phone its just included in the plan.
And yes because you don't use the phone doesn't mean everyone else is in the same boat. I can easily go over the 450 minutes that you have for $39.99 and would be paying overages which will be more than what you thought was less expensive.
So you have to rely on text messages over Google voice. Which you don't need a mobile for, why don't you just cancel your phone line and use wifi.... Because it serves a different purpose.
You use up to 3gb a month, I easily use that in 2 weeks sometimes a week. But guess who has unlimited data? T-Mobile.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 4
what?? "rely on Google voice for texts"?
you just install the Google voice app and send texts or receive texts in real time!
450 minutes is more than enough for most people!
weekend calls doesn't count those minutes! free weekend!
the person you calling on att also, then the calls is free! those minutes not counting also!

Yes I understand and use Google voice, but if you are using Google voice for texts and don't have them forwarded you have to be connected to the Internet.
Again, your basis is your own usage. I work for telecommunications so I know what more accurate usage is and 450 is not enough.
