You didn't look very hard as this has been covered this week, as well a number of times over the last few months
The vbulletin search can be a little tempromental at times, you need the right text input to get accurate results.
Try this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361041

Hello all,
I'm currently using the samsung vibrant and I'm about to pick up a new phone tomorrow. I know everything there is to know about the vibrant aside from JTAG operations. the phone has been outstanding and reliable from the beginning to end. I post this because I wonder what you guys feel about your sensation... always was an HTC fan but if I were to get the Galaxy S 4g then I would be right at home. They are very hard to actually brick and that is what I love most. So how's the sensation?? you guys get alot of bricks on this device? I've been doing some research and this phone looks amazing with some of the custom roms and themes I've seen so far. I really want to get it because of its highly updated processor. But how dangerous is it to flash custom roms and what not?
I appreciate your input
I switched from a captivate I know exactly what your saying but it looks alot more complicated then it is if you follow the instructions and guides properly you will be ok. Overall I love this phone its amazing and great support on here for it

yeah sad to say.... the vibrant is dying.... at least that is what it seems like. Cant seem to get a solid gingerbread rom going although they are getting close. I read some lines from a rom thread that shows how to turn your sensation into the XE version... is that what you did? or is there really a better version out there? lol I have no idea
Yea I did that the developers name is Mike and he is sick. His rom android revolution is unreal

I switched from the g2x and the sensation is very easy to root if you follow the guide exactly. It is also the best phone available in my opinion.

Well if the choice is between the Galaxy S4 and the Sensation... that's easy. Sensation! Not even close.
If you are a huge Sammy fan you might want to delay and compare the Hercules with the Sensation.
Decision was made, you guys were right, this phone is a beast. Within 2 days I already flashed ARHD 3.6.0 and I'm very impressed. Thanks to all

So I've successfully got my s-off using revolutionary, very easy to use for someone with little to no experience with phone procedures and whatnot. But my question is, what now? I've searched, but am completely overwhelmed by all these mods and different roms. I'm completely lost and don't know what to do next. Can anyone give some sort of easy to follow guidance? Thanks
Go to www.theunlockr.com and there are some good video tutorials

Start reading up on the different roms/mods and decide which ones you want to try.
Also, you should post in the right subforum or you won't last long around here.

Off topic but might aswell use the thread. dear mr xe user. What custom roms and kernals have you used, im having issues with battery inconsistencies how's yours?

I dont have an xe but have beats. I use an amazing rom by cdtdroid pd3 8.0 with bricked kernel v.91 i dont have krazy battery drain. But i have a chichitec 1900 extended battery that i strongly recommend. Also make sure you turn off things that eat battery. Such as all the givens wifi, bluetooth, ect. But turn off all pocket ringer options and phone finder in settings. As well as making sure your brightness for display is not always on auto.

Not to be rude but just pushing thanks is likely good enough... No need to start a thread :/

Yeah. It's nice to see your appreciation but I've opened a thread like this and it for closed and I was told to use the thanks button instead. I've seen it happen to several threads like this.
Also even if you had enough posts you definitely shoupdnt have posted this in the dev section.

Is your device still under warrantee? If yes I'd ask for repair. If not and your digitizer is going out you can replace yourself. You tube has a really clear how to video on digitizer replacement. You can order the part yourself. Are you rooted? If yes out of curiosity have you tried a different rom to see if issue is still present? Do some experimenting and see if issue remains with different roms. If yes then it's likely your device needs to be repaired. Also another option if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself is calling a local repair shop to fix the issue. This way you won't have to bother with going back to stock to send it in. Also your likely to get a good deal with a local shop. I'd call around and tell them the issue. You can order the part yourself and have them put it in. Cheaper this way too! This is what I'd do. Best of luck to you! Hope this post is helpful. Good luck!
