Hi. I have O3D europe open model. I updated to gingerbread. Now i tried to install gtalk video but it didnt work.
So i downloaded the gtalk.zip
I rooted my device with superoneclick
Installed rom manager
Then started recovery and tried to install gtalk.zip, but it didnt work.
So what am i making wrong?
As i read it in the forum. There is no custom rom based on v21a with gtalk video. Or?

Is there any reason why the guy in the you tube video showing how to root with the ace hack kit indicated to use an older version of clockwork mod recovery? I get a message that there is an update everytime I go into ROM manager. Should I update? if so, why and how?
Thanks as always!
If I recall correctly, he states in the video that 3.0 only supports gingerbread.
also I think this should be in general discussion.
Im on 3.x.x.x with no issues.
This should probably be in general. There were issues restoring nandroid backups with latest version of CWM.

Is there an apk that can be downloaded for example OTA.apk? I don't know why but there is no Ota update function in my phone. I used to have it in my previous phone. Anyone? Please....
Sent from my LG-P920
I guess that you are on froyo, because my phone did not have ota update option in setings when i was on froyo, but now on GB it's ok.
Only solution for you is either to wait for official update via lg pc suite or to flash kdz v21a gingerbread, than you can root and flash custom roms.
i hope that this was helpful to you.
Yes,i have froyo 2.2.2 Thanks for the info. I'll take a look if there is an update via PC suite. Another question. My phone is rooted. Should i unroot my phone before updating to gingerbread? Oh,and thanks for the info.

You can actually leave your phone exactly the way it is right now. No need to un-root.
Follow the instructions here to flash the 21A ROM (Gingerbread): http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=18082599
This is a very easy update process, but follow the steps perfectly.
Re-root with SuperOneClick when the update is done: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
You will also be presented with your new OTA Update App as well!
Thank you very much man. I'll try this later, when i'll have some time.

I have flashed the rom onto my phone, everything works fine, except I do not have service. Any way I can fix this?
Easy. Flash the gingerbread baseband. can be found in android development section. after that. it works.(had the same problem).
I tried to hold the volume up button, and insert the usb connector, but the OMAP did not install..
You should first install 21A kdz file to your phone. After that root your device flash CWM and flash kingrom. Then your problem is solved

So... coud you help me to find this?
(now i dont use this rom, but if it will works great, i want!)
You should start by changing the tittle of your thread, sounds like kings ROM is causing the issue, what is not true.

You need to read more for one!
Reflash gapps and never use rom manager.

There's nothing at all wrong with Rom Manager. It's a great thing. As long as recovery is flashed with NVflash.

I don't recommend it to anyone I've used it once, flash failed or download failed, either way needed a battery pull had to use CWM I will only recommend CWM, lol.

He means if you never used rom manager to ever download or flash recovery and ONLY used nvflash... then rom manager will ALWAYS and ONLY boot into your only cwm recovery.
But yeah, did you download and flash gapps like mt3g asked?
Which gapps are you using? I flashed the one that's said to use in the thread and my phone said they're 2.3.5 and had a few issues, I just googled the 2.3.7 ones and everything works fine for me

Unfortunately for me modded gapps won't flash, and Gmail from the market isn't marking mail as read. I did use scrubber.. Anybody had this issue?

what do you mean won't flash? are you flashing it right after you flash PB rom?
That's correct, scrubber->pb rom->gapps. There is no gmail app after the boot.
i didnt download the rom from rom manager. i installed it from rom manager i ran gapps and everything seems to be in order now
Since I'm not allowed to post anywhere else
I know on the Phoenixblood main thread at the end it says to wipe, but if I am going from 1.6 to 1.7 is that really necessary? It seems like there were only minor changes. Meaning, can I just wipe dalvik and cache and be okay?
Well for others wondering like me, I just wiped cache and dalvik and upgraded to 1.7. So far so good.

hello all!
how can i uninstall apps which come with the promethius rom?
espacially the 3d converter app. i deleted the hrz.apk. the app doesnt work anymore and i have a droid symbole named com.lge.lge3edgame...
how can i remove this?
ty,
Well what i usually do when i download a rom, i unpack the rar file and head to system/app en delete the things i dont want and save it.
Thats how i don't have to delete things through root explorer it saves alot of time and its easy to get rid of unwanted apps.
Hope it helps!
Just use Gmail, I don't use MAIL. So Del MAIL.. Have error ?
User Winrar Program ?
thank you for your answers!
i tried it badaboem's way and it works fine for me.
now i have another problem and i cant post it in "Optimus 3D Android Development" because i havent posted enough:
I'm using Promethius v1.2 with kernel 1.2+ and it works fine. Long battery etc...
v1.3 and v1.4 wont work well (tried them with different kernels):
they do not recognize my sim-card! what can be the problem?
I really would like to update, because v1.2 is already good and i think 1.4 would be better

You have to check what is your baseband. Install getril from market and see. That app will tell you your baseband. To have 1.3 and 1.4 to run you will have to be on 21E baseband.
Sent from my LG-P920 using XDA
Getril says:
Ril: lgp920-v21e-apr-19-2012
Baseband: lgp920at-00-v21a-eur
That means that i have the wrong one? Do i need a computer to do this? @ work and i dont have permissions to install software. Would it work if i change ril and not baseband?
Sent from my LG-P920 using XDA
Flashed this LGP920_CP_v21e.fls + LGP920_AP.bin but the baseband remained the same Baseband: lgp920at-00-v21a-eur, because even the stock 21E had no signal maybe LGP920_CP_v21e.fls is just RIL not the baseband. Flashed kernel 1.2+ signal works again.
You will have to flash baseband with lg flash tool instructions are on development section.

Doesn't Smart Flash Tool Do the exact same thing, Flash CP.fls and AP.bin?
i think kdz method is the only way to get the RIL and BB to match
I used smartflash but it did nothing. Only thing that worked for me is flash tool and kdz to flash baseband. Flash baseband, then install any 21e rom and you will have everything working. Ril and baseband will be the same.

in the kdz method, you choose which .kdz file to flash. if you flash v21e.kdz then you'll have v21e.
