After I upgraded my Android phone (Star A1000) to Rom i9000, the phone is working but touch screen is not working at all.
Any idea to repair it ?

Try to wipe then reflash and if still nothing you may need to flash kernel if possible

I tried to root my nexus s I9023 and flash a new rom but after flashing the rom using oden and when the mobile is reseting It became dead!!! Black screen no response no charging.

Happened to me once, but i was able to fix it with removing the battery for couple of minutes...

A mod that can supposedly unbrick the nexus s and other phones running the A8 processor. Custom bootloader and all. Check it out.

Did you flash a i9020 rom? My guess is you flashed a rom with SAMOLED drivers and you have SLCD.

I don't think ROMs are made depending on the screen model. Kernels maybe, but ROMs are only differentiated as Nexus S and Nexus S 4G.

Full stock ROMs are, because they are bundles. Maybe he flashed one of them. Nevertheless, if video driver is wrong, he should still be able to turn it on and feel vibration on power on! Don't know...
This is what I did..Not paying attention and then realised I had backed up all my data on the SDCard that does not exist...(I've had my Nexus S for a few days!) %$#%#$%#$.
I've had bad flashes before on other phones, but my data has always been safe.
I accidently flashed 9020 insead of 9023...
It's dead and no longer turns on. No movements or anything. It's dead. I'm more concered about the data on the SDCard partition. Is there a way to recover this? I'm not so much interested in the phone, but the data...Thanks

I can do that, but I'm more interested in the many photos I took that are on it. I just forgot there is not physical SDCard when I backup. Hence I am looking for a way to extract my data off it.
I have galaxy mini running android 2.3.5 and I want to flash a custom ROM.. so any suggestions which one is better
for my galaxy...
Note: I have a problem ..I can't enter recovery mode.. but download mode is working fine also my phone is working fine
...from day's ago I flashed a boatloader cause my galaxy bricked then I flashed gingerbread 2.3.5 and it's working fine except that I can't enter recovery mode and can't do a reset data factory.
Any HELP I'll be appreciate

Hello,
I just flashed SlimBean ROM on my Skyrocket via ClockworkMod. I first formatted/wiped as is customary. It gave me no errors, so I assumed everything was fine. However, upon reboot, I was greeted with the Samsung logo, and then nothing. Just a black screen. It appears to be responsive to my pressing the lock button (the touch buttons light up). But nothing else. What could it be, and how can I fix this?

the fix is to flash flapjacks kernel when in recovery the newest zip should flapjackx already in it

Afraid that's a good sign of a hard brick. Does your device do anything when you try to turn it on? Can you get into download mode?

hi my friends i have a problem about 3g at my skyrocket. i have root my phone 3-4 times before everything was good. But after last root i can not change the network mode. it is working only at 2G , i was using 3G before but not now. what is the problem ? i tried some ways as root to custom rom.i rooted my phone 5 times for different roms after this problem but no solution has been founded. i can not have a solution.network mode not working. Anyone can help me ? i will upload a video about this problem soon.

Thank you jd1639 i have solved the problem. format and flash to the stock rom by odin then 3g and H+ come again. Actually stpck rom must be flash by odin , i have learnt that.
i am using jellybam now,it is working fine.
I have a strange problem, when i upgrade to ICS (v30a/b/v28a) my touchscreen wont work, i tried to factory reset and tried to flash with xloader but nothing.The screen gets touch as the menu buttons lights if i touch the screen but i can't use the menu buttons and the touch neither. But if i downgrade back to GB its become working again.
Maybe this happens becouse i have a replacement digitizer or becouse it was locked to t-mobile(unlocked now)?
The problem is the digitizer, its aftermarket one. The question is that can i implement the drivers from a 2.x to 4.X? or the using of the digitizer on the android system is more complicated?
I would donate if someone can help in grabbing those drivers from 2.x and i think that im not alone who have the same issue

If no, problem is in Bootloader? Recovery? There is drivers of digitizer?
Is any ICS ROM with GB bootloader/recovery?

it doesn work in touch recovery, only with gb. If its true then the drivers are stored in the kernel? If thats the thing maybe someone should tell us how to grab from gb kernel? pls.

From what I have seen/read it is bad flash from incomplete driver install. You should be logged onto pc as admin for drivers to install correctly. But I have not had this issue myself, so I am not totally sure.
Im sure its not a bad flash as i can flash any gb/froyo rom successfully

I too have the same problem. touchscreen works on all previous ROM (GB and FRoyo). but ICS does not work. I found this thread, but I have not figured out how to do. us if you can let me know. Hello!
