Lastest Radio for HTC Sensation - HTC Sensation

I'm using MIUI 1.11.18 and Bricked 1.6 beta1. Just wanting some help to find the various radios for this ROM and phone. I can't seem to find any threads on it.

Have you tried looking on your ROM's thread, often it is in the first post or two..

The radio you use should be customized for your specific location as people from all over the world use each ROM. Usually the ROM doesn't include a radio unless it specifically says that it does. Some ROMs will even recommend what radio to use in the first post, or what radio the developer tested the ROM on. At the end of the day you should try and see what radio and RIL work best for you. Look in the stickies for the development section to find the threads for future reference. Here they are so you can get started:
Radio Thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1178143
RIL Thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202867
I am in Las Vegas on T-Mobile and I use the radio from the 1.45 RUU and the corresponding 2.2.0169 RIL. I've tried newer/different ones that weren't specifically for TMOUS, and I ended up coming back to the stock radio and RIL because of great reception and good battery usage. I'm just one guy though. Try a few and see what works best for you and your area.
Hope this helps

and most importantly if your current radio works, don't change it
changing radio CAN cause a brick
"If it's not Broken, Don't fix It"

Thanks for all this info guys. Certainly don't want to brick the phone. Getting reasonable signal on Vodafone UK just wanted to see if it can be improved.

Factory shipped ROMs have radio upgrade as well. If you just download and install one of the cooked ROMs, it only upgrades the OS part. So, to fix your radio issue, you have to download one of the radio upgrades and install it.
Maybe I am not being clear
Thank you for your response. I believe my sound problem is from having install the XDALive cooked rom. Which has the new radio installed. from reading the forums att has folded in the audio driver somehow into the radio...sleuths cooked rom states this in his thread. He called for the end user to downgrade the radio prior to flashing or you may have a sound problem. I am experiencing that sound problem and I just need to know how to downgrade from the most rewcent radio into a more usable one. thank you hope this helps
had the same issue
I had the same issue when i upgraded my radio to 27.14 with Dutty's Rom
use the below link to get the radio alone
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Uploads/Kaiser/Radio/
Had the same problem a couple of times

Easiest way is to simply download the original ROM for the Tilt (posted in sticky) and load it. The problem is in the old radio rom and the new OS ROM. Set them back to the orginal and then flash what you want. I'd recommend only using the ones Dutty or others have posted for the ATT versions.
Hope that helps.
You can also downgrade the radio itself. Verify that the ROM you're using doesn't require a new radio. Check out one of the sticky posts in "Kaiser Upgrading" on how to downgrade/upgrade the Radio only.
Stupid question time....
what exactly is the "radio"?

all right, first get hardspl, then go for the one with the radio... i suggest you research a little first.
w/o hardspl flashing a rom will screw up your tilt
fyi, the one without the radio (think of it as the drivers for phone calls) is for people who already have that version so it flashes faster
Do some reading...

I would strongly recommend reading the sticky threads posted at the top of the Kaiser forums, especially Kaiser upgrading, and the wiki pages before doing anything to your ROM otherwise you could pay dearly like many others in threads all over this forum.
Educating yourself, at least in reagrds to the basics, is wise.

Yes, I agree. I'm not trying to flame you, but judging from your questions it seems that you don't quite understand what you could potentially be doing to your phone. Many of the things discussed here can ruin your phone and no one will be able to help you fix it, not even the vendor you bought it from.
....But how can you tell your Tilt comes with radio/no radio, I think all tilt comes with the samething, thats what I dont get. so can you tell me where can I check the radio settings on mine

The radio refers to the reception that you get with the phone not actually like a FM/AM radio. Different radio versions work with different phones / ROMS's. The newest AT&T Build/ROM uses Radio 1.27.14.09. All other non-AT&T Builds/ROM use Radio's 1.27.12.11, 1.27.12.17, 1.27.12.29, 1.27.12.32. Maybe that will point you in the right direction.
YOu can check what radio version you have on your phone by going to Start > Settings > System > Device Information ...should say it right there.
Check out this video on how to do a HardSPL. http://youtube.com/watch?v=UaCt5pUn6iI You can get everything you need files wise and instructions by click on the HardSPL v1 in my signature block.

Since all of/ most of us here are not running a german rom nor do we live in Ludwigshafen, there is no way for any of us to help you. Therefore cluttering up the ROM DEVELOPMENT forum with yet another new " help me " thread probably wasn't the best idea.
Go to the Ultimate Radio thread and test out radios for yourself and pick the one that works the best.

thx
i will

Issue should be posted in radio thread as stated

[Q] HTC Thunderbolt Gingerbread Radio?

I have used the search for my question but i couldnt find anything (sorry if there is a thread about this)
i am thinking to root my thunderbolt and obviously jump on the Sense 3.0 rom, but it said the rom works great with the MR2 radio, i was just wondering if the MR2 radio is needed to run the DasBamf Sense 3.0 rom and if the MR2 still bricks the phone.
thanks in advance!
If you look at the sticky threads in the HTC Thunderbolt Development forum The third thread has a list of ROMs and the radios that serve them.
Be careful that you match the Froyo/Gingerbread radios to the respective ROMs. You mentioned dasBAMF, which is in section IIe of the post I mentioned. As far as bricking is concerned, just make sure to read through the radio download threads to make sure that others are doing well with the radio and PLEASE make sure that you check the MD5sum of the radio against what is offered for download.

So does anyone have any idea what could have happened after the ROM update?
Does matter what ROM I use now it's still NO SERVICE...
Thanks is advance for the assistance....

Sounds like a radio problem, did you use the recommended radio for the ROM? If not, do some searching and find out which one you need.

My thoughts exactly. If you want to update your RADIO, visit my website as I have them all listed there.

radios that work on eternity
I've used Eternity ROM quite a bit and am currently on release 248. I've found that the 605.5, 605.9, MR4, and new 605.19 radios work well on 248. the admins on infected rom seem to like MR4 for their setups, but i'm partial to the 605.5 and new 605.19 combos myself. hope that's helpful.
I agree check your radio, ive never had to change the radio except when i was 1st rooting otherewise i havent had any issue with any of that. Might just have to keep trying till you find the right one.
