so hence the new thread.
i was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to use my TF as an touchpad/trackpad for my computer.
is there any application/software to do this.
preferably using the USB cable, caus ill be using this feature a lot when its possible.
PhoneMyPC - not sure if this is working on TF.
Teamviewer.
You need WIFI for these and the client must be installed on your computer.
Also you can take a look at these:

Hi guys,
I use my touch pro for numerous official reasons and projects. It could be anything, starting from a powerpoint presentation to a report writing and all those. However, I still need to carry my laptop around just to be sure that I have all the files and everything when I'm on the move.
That gave me an idea, was wondering if there is any method or an application, that I probably can make use of, to access my laptop remotely over wifi or internet. So that I can copy a file to and from my touch pro whenever is required...!!!
Thanks for any input...
That's the best roundup I found so far:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=288506
Enjoy
you can always make an adhoc connection with your laptop
and use resco explorer to copy files off a shared drive on the laptop
usee I actually wanna keep my laptop at home switched on during my work time and wanna access it from my office with the touch pro for file sharing purposes. is that possible by any means?
yeah, youll need to use port forwarding in your router
Hey thanks for that link It did work, I installed logmein and its working so far, but I have a small query. Does the free version get over after a certain period? And if does then can I reactivate it?
I've been using logmein now for years and the free verison does not expire.

So how did you get the keyboard to work with Logmein? We have a thread going over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=444641
Hello,
I am looking for an Android app (and/or driver) that allows me to connect an external USB GPS (Garmin GPS Map60CS) to a standard 7" tablet (Android 2.1), which has USB host capabilities.
The purpose of this is to be able to upload/download tracks and waypoints to/from my GPS while travelling. This would be great because would enable me to travel without laptop but tablet !
As an example, there is a similar solution for Windows CE phones and serial GPS´s, which I have used many times: G7toWin
http://www.gpsinformation.org/ronh/g7towin.htm
Another solution would be to connect a USB-to-Serial dongle to the tablet, and (hopefully) this could be connected by RS232 to the Garamin GPS. But an app is needed anyway.
If someone can point a solution or suggestion, I would be very happy.
Thank you very much.
Sorry for opening an old thread, but did you find any solution?
ciao

Hi
I'm trying to get my GPSmap 62 work as a mass storage for my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using an OTG cable but that just doesn't seem to work. Did you do something special to get your Garmin and Android to do that? Such as rooting or using some special file manager app.

I'm pretty sure that my android (then) was rooted. I use "Total Commander" and in the options you need to let it have root function all around - but other apps like it will also work.
Haven't used it with my 'new' phone cause haven't had the time to play with it (even after 6 month :$)
Hello,
I thought people in this thread might like to know that I made an app that can transfer waypoints and tracks in both directions between an Android device and Garmin GPSMap 60Cs. I'm currently trying to find out if there are more people interested and if so then I'll add support for more Garmin GPS models and publish the app.
Here's my original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/transfer-tracks-waypoints-to-garmin-gps-t2858387
Before anyone gives me an attitude: I used search and spent 3 days searching for an answer before turning here. With that said...
I have a mac and ONLY a mac. I do NOT have access to a pc. I have tried rooting my SGS4G using superoneclick running through wine and mono. Wine won't run it at all and mono just closes the app window anytime a button is pressed. I know that some might recommend using parallels or virtual box, but I don't have a windows install disc and refuse to download an illegal one right now. I would like to know if ANYONE has has success rooting their phone through their mac without using parallels. Has anyone found an apk that works?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
P.S.
I am not looking to flash any roms. I just want to run stock rooted to remove bloatware.
Maybe run it through terminal. I also have a Mac, But just used a friends windows device to root it.

Thanks for the response. I don't know of a way to do it through terminal except for mono which doesn't work. Almost every way I've seen to do it requires a windows program with .net. Like I said I don't have ANY access to a pc so I might just be screwed on this. I was hoping that maybe someone had a hint though.
I see a few in the market for cell phones. Just wondering if anyone has tested anything and prefer it for Transformer or Xoom.
I am also interested in this kind of app for tabs.

looking for the same, only one i found on market is newzdroid. Its dog awful bad uninstalled it straight away. easynews looks like the only other one but you need to use easynews to use that. shame.
i try'ed a heap of these form the market didnt find any i liked but will keep searching and let you know what i find
i use this, its called SAB Sheep (i cant link to marketplace , i dont have 8 posts yet), while it doesnt download directly to your phone, it connects with your SABNZB install on your computer.
so you can essentially push nzb files from your phone or tablet, to your pc, have your pc download the files, and then stream it back to your tablet using vlc all in the same program
it also works good if you have a nzbmatrix account, which is another reason i got it
Kayman
SAB server is the only way to Usenet from your Android device. I love it.
SABMobile for me.
I am installing the Android-x86-devel-4.0 on a Dell D430 Laptop.
All Hardware working ok. (Audio, Wireless, Bluetooth, Battery ...)
I'm having problems with navigating officer, who gets a black screen.
E. .. I would like a help, not sure if it is possible. I would like to use the VGA output to reflect on another monitor.
When connected the laptop with second monitor attached, the internal monitor shows normally. the external monitor is on a black screen with:
Detecting Android-x86 ... found at / dev/sda1
A N D R O I D [email protected]:/ #
There is the possibility of mirroring the monitors?
Thank you.
Sorry, I don't have a solution for you. However, since I also own a D430, I'm looking for a working android port.
I'd really appreciate if you could share some more information with us.
How did you manage to install this version on your laptop?
And which exact version did you use?
(The only solution I found so far is from http://android-x86.moonman.dk/, however, wifi doesn't work.)
Thanks in advance!
