That's the main reason, others roms usually wait at least a couple weeks before getting the latest update.
If I were to flash another rom, it would probably be Revolver because of all the extra little mods revolver parts bring, but at the moment I'm very impressed with the speed of Android Revolution.
I use revolver so far, mainly becuase of revoler parts app
I use Revolver rom, reason :
Fast
Revolver Part with many gadget ( Theme, Kernel etc... )
Update in time

I'm using Prime.
The boot output is so cool!
I like its pre-configured addons.
And I'm feeling more comfort with it
I liked the boot animation of Prime, but I like the Revolver ROM the most, so far. The reasons: frequent updates, speed, stability, and of course, for all that Revolver Parts brings to the table.

This is 100% false. All four roms are usually updated about 2 to 3 days ( if not quicker) after asus sends out a new update.
Android Revoluition
It update s very fast and its very stable
I use Prime and Revolution. Both update quickly. I am more familiar with Prime. Its stable has shutdown and reboot options and has a lot of system settings that are nice. Never had a fc issues yet

You could use revolver yet still having boot animation of prime.
I am using the Revolver Rom
Stable, fast and very good Battery life
revolution is the first rom on my transformer. so far so good. stable and fast.
will try out others next update.
revolution,.. so far the most stable rom i used and its fast.
I like it
In my TF101G the best rom is Revolution.
I've tried Revolver for a week, but Revolution is more fast and stable.
Revolver has the bonus of the Parts that allow wide choises in customization, but the 3G component doesn't work completely: the SMS module is absent!!!
I've asked for help, but after a week I don't received any answer.
I think this is pretty serious problem and that the developer would have to do a clear mention about it in the first post, in addition to mentioning the best rom features in detail or writing how it's damn fast!
Hi!
I use Krakd Rom...
Fast, good battery life, no fc's...
Used Revolver for a week, but it had a dock battery draining problem, and it was laggy...
Revolver parts is, however, a nice touch...
Still have to try Prime and Revolution!
I like Revolver....on my TF very stable with the lastest Clemsyn kernel and Daemon OV..... plus revolver parts is an added bonus

I dig um all tbh! each one has its perks. currently on prime. just saw a brand new dev though going to check it out.
I like prime, so far it is the only one that re-directs work in the browsers and its stable.
Related
There used to be a thread that explained the differences between Revolution, Revolver, and Prime. I can no longer find that thread. Could someone explain these three roms, as how they are? If I remember correctly from that thread, it mentioned that...
* One is very similar to the stock rom
* One is somewhat similar to the stock rom, but is flexible
* One is highly customizable
I would like to know this as well. Can a more experienced member chime in?
Nearly all the same, using the official ASUS base (since there is no source for HC).
Prime is very stable and also fast - some say closest to stock
Revolver has a bit more features (RevolverParts), but not a huge difference.
ARHD can be customized via UOT Kitchen and themes, fast and also stable.
I use KRAKD - for unknown reasons it gives me the best speed and battery life and the fastest web browsing.
All can be OC, UV etc. (kernel dependant)
i tested revolver and arhd so far.
revolver seems a little bit faster overall, but i had huge problems with my mobile connection. i have the tf101G and a very bad connection with revolver, tested it with download speed tester:
revolver (with 3g pack from revolver parts): 1400Kb/s
arhd (some location, just 10 minutes after revolver test): 4800kb/s
so now i am using arhd like on my desire hd phone and on the sensation of my girl friend
greetings
Revolver has a feature to close the current opened applications with a "x" on the screenshot of them..
I am running the latest revolver and am wondering what is the best kernel to use?
I am trying razzle dazzle kernel right now.
pandatest/razzeldazzel/blades all the same kernel just different names
I've tried every kernel available and the only one that is totally smooth is Roach's OC kernel. This is at 1ghz and on the stock Honeycomb launcher, every other kernel would be jittery and not transition smoothly most of the time. It works great on Krakd, Im on Revolver now and it still works just as great. Your Transformer may be different though.

Really? In my testing on razzledazzel it is quite buggy and keeps making my tab random reboot and it just got stuck in a bootloop.
However, i flashed blades and it seems to be working better.

I'm using the stock kernel with Revolver: it's the only kernel that works without random reboots on my B80.
In fact, I'm starting to believe that I won't be able to use any overclock kernel with that tablet.
Too bad, to me that defeats one of the important features of rooting a table and of using a custom rom.
I was better served with my acer iconia in that regard.
Razzle dazzle doesn't s upport ntfs. Why in the world would the dev of razzle dazzle not put ntfs support in this kernel?
i use pandatest 1.5ghz, never had a problem with it in the last month or so since it came out.
I've been using the pandatest 1.2ghz. I get the occasional sleep of death, but it is so rare that I can live with it. Has been extremely stable besides that issue.
Do any of you know if any of the kernels support advanced routing? Several of us are using VPNC widget, and will get occasional drops due to the lack of advanced routing in the kernel.
I would definitively stick with the stock Kernel (i did it and it was very nice and smooth) but if you really wanna OC your transformer here is the one that worked best for me: http://www.gnufabio.com/revolver/dls/Revolver_ClemsynKernel_v21.zip
But again, with revolver the transformer already work faster than Stock rom and wouldnt need so much OC (my opinion)
I have shelved my TF-101 for the passed few months waiting on Revolver 4 to get fully released but Fabio is real busy. So I was wondering what the most stable I.C.S. Roms are for the TF-101 atm bc I would really like to get back to using my tablet again.
Megatron, AOKP, or ARHD. This is all opinion though, it's what you feel is the best ROM for your taste.
Trying not to think about "best" just stable. I want something that hopefully doesn't have alot of SODs, app FCs, and dock drain. I understand they still may happen but wondering if anyone experienced a reduction in any ROM.
Latest ARHD is very stable for me. No sod and random reboot.

The kernel is more important than the ROM for that. Just flash the most stable guevor kernel for you (Usually 17c, 20, or latest for most people) over any ROM and you're fine.
I know there are a lot of us TF700 owners out there, but I am always surprised by how few downloads I see everytime I go to update CleanROM Inheritance.
Let's all give a shout out to which ROM you are using on your Infinity and why it is the best option for how you use the tablet.
It will get overly complicated if I include the kernel version in the poll, so let us know which kernel works best for you as well and if you are using Data2SD.
Sorry if I missed any options.
For me - rockin' CROMI 3.03 with Clemsyn 1.3-1.8 kernel. So far super smooth and stable. Nothing fancy on my setup - not into theming or heavy gaming. I do wish we had more options for extending battery....
ParanoidAndroid here, per app DPI settings makes my life so much better it's not even funny. Some examples of how: I reduced the dpi on Shortyz Crossword so that the clue text becomes large enough to read and the keyboard is usable; on the other hand I increased the dpi on my launcher and web browsers (especially overskreen) to get more screen real estate out of them by reducing the size of the status bars, icons and controls. Basically this rom lets me fix programs that have issues with high resolutions without affecting other programs that aren't having problems, truly a great rom!
Currently CleanROM Inheritance 2.7.2 ODEXED with Clemsyns 13-18
Running ADW.Launcher Ex with Multi Picture Live Wallpaper app..... and boy it's smooth and fast
and it looks absolutely Great!
I'm waiting for new 3.x ODEXED which should be even faster
Cleanrom 3.0.3
Went back to Nova after using ADW for a while. I too use Multi Picture Live Wallpaper.
This rom saved me from selling my Infinity.
Baked Black Bean
Wow, I'm the only one who has voted for Baked Black Bean. You guys should give it a try. It's real smooth.

I'm currently on CROMI 3.0.3 with Clemsey Universalstock700ver2 kernel and so far everything seems 95% smooth. It's mainly the transitions that arent smooth. Games are definitely better with the overclocked gpu. But I will try Baked Black Bean. Which Kernel do you use with it?
EDIT: Just saw that theres bug in replying with the Email app which I use a lot so I guess I'll have to skip trying Black Bean for now. There's a camera bug too which isnt much of a big deal.

I'm a big fan of CM 10.1, it's very smooth and fast.
I finally unlocked last week. I'm on CleanRom Inheritance 3.x, I was largely happy with ASUS' JB implementation and was just looking for performance enhancements and debloating so something like CROMI is ideal for me. I will probably add the data2sd hack after I get a new 64gb sd card.
Still on CleanROM 2.4. Any particularly compelling reasons why I should switch to CleanROM inheritance?

you should definitely try ADW Ex launcher.... after install use preset "fast" and then configure your own way. Then this baby is flying
All transitions are super smooth without ANY lag

Wow - surprised at how few of us are using the custom ROMs available for the TF700 overall. As a CleanROM user I tend to see a few new users every week that post questions as they flash for the 1st time, but I guess I expected much more volume overall.
Of course I realize that the custom ROM type does not generally hang out in the General forums, so the #s are very anecdotal.
Does the Build matter???

I feel the same way - and became reluctant when I noticed the build difference.
I am build 10.4.4.16 while Inheritance is designed from Build 10.4.4.23 (or does it even matter?)
CM10.1 but I should've waited a bit longer with upgrading.
I'd be happily rockin CM10 if I could just UNLOCK the @#$%ing thing.

Just keep trying. I had issues too. But the third day of trying it about 20 times a day it finally worked.
I'm rocking inheritance with the kernel 1.8ghz, 700gpu, 1450mw. Love it. I have used cm10 in the oat on my old fallacy tab, it's also great. I really the half way stock feel.
Hi,
Just rooted JB stock, on TWRP.
I'm looking for a stable, reliable, fast, no-dramas, no frills rom. Something that works and works fast. I dont want 100 ways to change colors and fonts of the status bar or 5 lockscreens etc. Just want simplicity, stability, reliability and fluidity, that's it .
So you guys recommend any?
Many Thanks!
CleanROM 3.1. Do it, do it.

I used Blackbean by team BAKED for the longest time. I love that it's all-black (easy on the eyes!) and pretty fast, although I find how "fast" a ROM is to be a rather relative measure.
I'd recommend Blackbean, but if you don't like it just stick with CM10. Tried and true

You should try some yourself.

Have to agree with the CyanogenMod recommendation. I used to install random custom ROM's on my phone (Samsung Galaxy Nexus), but then decided to try CM 10.1 with my phone and TF300T (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055430). While the TF300T isn't quite fully developed in CM 10.1 (the developer has a lot on their hands, but they are responsive and helpful), it is quite functional. There were some speed issues, but they seem to have been addressed, or at least lessened. It has nightlies, which is great. Plus, CM has an automatic feature to inform you when updates (including nightlies) are available, which I appreciate.
Well if you're looking for something that's stock, stable, and easy to use...I suggest seanzscreams' Asus Jellybean Hydro 5.0. I'm currently running it on my tablet and it is by far the fastest and most stable ROM I've used yet.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1854212
Now if you're looking for a bit more customization I would go for either CM 10.1 or Blackbean 7. Those two (I personally think) are the best and most customizable ROMs out there, but yet again that's just me.
CM 10.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055430
Blackbean 7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2015165
Edit: If you have the dock, I couldn't get it the charging working on either CM 10.1 or Blackbean 7. Also, on Blackbean 7 the dock keyboard works but the screen keyboard pops up with it....a bit annoying.
I've been running Hydro, definitely my favorite. Fast, overclocked, super-useful mods, all while maintaining the stock look, without the stock lag.
I'm on CROMI, but I get bored. Is Jelly Bean Hydro 6.0 better than CROMI 3.2.1 ??? I would install this, but I don't know can I get HYDRO 6.0 over CROMI ??? Of course I would wipe system & data / factory reset.

I have been running hydro since I got the tablet, great rom for all around use.
I've found that every custom ROM I've flashed has felt faster (and often more stable) so pretty much any of the main contenders (Blackbean, CleanRom, Paranoid Android, etc.)
But I can't find any of them that seem to have advanced support for tf300 dock - they seem so good for tablet alone but I need to do polaris office stuff and would like to see the status of the battery in the dock, and some don't seem to remove on-screen keyboard when dock is plugged in.
Please, someone disagree with me, i'd love to know if it's possible to get these three features in a custom ROM - until, stuck with fully featured ASUS Stock.
