i just registered today. i've been viewing the threads and the forums for a long time now.
I have an HTC Desire HD(middle - east) version. i've bought it from Dubai.... but when checked from HTC care centre they've told me its a singapore version (Idk if that matters...)
i'll be rooting my phone in a week.. and was thinking of flashing a particular ROM....
ther are soo many beautiful ROMS on the development forum... and the question i'm about to ask ... i've found many threads related to that on the forum... but theres just too much information decide...
So i've taken to the Q&A section for help..
I am looking to flash a ROM... there are many good ones...
but my main priority is to get the one that provides huge battery life... so if any Desire HD owners can suggest me one..??
really Battery life is my only priority.. if it gives sense 3.0 that'll be really good but it really really dosen't matter much...

What do you guys think about buying a new stronger battery like, i have 1250mAh on my Cha Cha, but i wanna buy one with 1800mAh a stronger copy made for chacha? Would that help...cuz nothing else does..
I'm still getting just about 10hours of battery when i use the phone normaly, not even one day for god sake!
lets say 2hours of internet and thats it!
max is 3-4hours with display on, but not on internet .. . so i guess i got the problem.
Any thoughts about this new battery?

An OTA upgrade is now running for the Atrix 2G to get ICS.
I'm user of the Atrix 4G and I know that the hardware is kindly similar (except the CPU which is for the Atrix 2 and OMAP and the ATRIX 4G a NVidia) ...
Maybe can you check what can be done based on this ROM ? (I don't know if this can help but maybe you will be able to find some interesting things ...)
I can't provide you this ROM as I'm from Europe and I'm using the Atrix 4G

How can be similiar if they have a completely different hardware?
The only thing that they have similiar is the name.
Please,you are on XDA,don't think to be useful if you are a noob.
Completely different hardware and this has been covered before.
Just because it has the name "Atrix" (2) doesn't mean you can get ICS out of that and throw it on the original Atrix...

Cloudus91 I don't know who you are and that's not for me the best way to answer someone by insulting people.
Your answer was correct until the moment you use the term noob.
You should take into acount that in my job i'm not a noob at all.
So ... next to the fact that the hardware is completely different, the purpose of this message was also to understand how is it possible that Motorola has announced no ICS for the Atrix 2 and in the fact there's an OTA available.
Also I'm in the general section for the Motorola Atrix where it is supposed to be a good place to ask something to everyone.
Please also note that I have maybe add my question too fast because (and I admit) I didn't check completely the product specifications of each devices. (My fault regarding that point)
If I was someone thinnking like you , I can easilly say that all persons that have briked their phone are Noob ? Stupid ? I've never breaked a phone since I'm installing rom, customization and I'm doing that since the first time a Windows Mobile phone has been out ! So I don't think I can be consider as a noob .(<--- Please be sure that I'm not considering a person who has break his phone as a noob --> it is just an example)
Conclusion:
You're probably not a Noob in your job, passion .... but in answering people I guess you're a real one.

Sorry but the good place to ask something is the Q&A section...
And the atrix2 update its not canceled...so...I do t see how this post its usefull...

If you checked the ICS schedule, the Atrix 2 is still on track for an ICS release. Furthermore, the Southeast Asian update was seeded even before the updated schedule was posted online.

Man don't sweat this. There should be a sticky/video for anyone entering the Atrix 4g forums that explains the need for a really thick skin before posting anything.
I participate in more than a few XDA forums, and as far as I can tell. This one is the most passionate (read; intolerant) of them all.
Hopefully you can still find a way to enjoy the site. Not everyone feels the need to be abusive. And there's more than a few great resources here. It is worth sticking around.

Yeah, people were a lot more polite most of the time in both the g1 and desire z forums. I always get a chuckle at how many people want to report an close threads on the atrix forums.

hi i finally got to root att one x on 2.20 (also have twrp)... now i just need help with selecting a rom... im looking for somthing very stable good battery n ovcourse somthing nice....if anyone can give me sugestions with the link to them that would be great... also if pics of them are an option that be awesome...thank you

Since you're new here, you probably aren't aware that "best rom"/"favorite rom" threads are frowned upon here. They're viewed as disrespectful to the devs, and they frequently lead to unnecessary drama.
The best answer is to head over to the development forum and start trying things out yourself. Everyone's needs and impressions are different. I could tell you what works for me, but that isn't necessarily going to work for you.
All the resources are compiled in a sticky at the top of the forum. Your best bet is to start there.
I recently installed CM10 and I love it. My battery life has gotten significantly better since installing it too.
I'm probably going to try Clean Rom 5.1 soon enough.
So as many of you have already noticed by the many threads here on xda, htc has officially cancelled any type of software update to the awesome htc one s which is really disappointing considered this phone is capable of handling basically anything you can throw at it imo. That being said I personally am annoyed because I refused to root or use custom roms up until htc stopped ota updates support completely and so that day has come.I want to greet all the members and devs here on the htc one s forums and thank you all because with your wisdom and experiences as well as the latest and greatest custom roms kernal etc are only possible by you guys and so this phone will never die and will live on still competing against the latest and greatest phones. So yea sorry for the long rant but welcome another htc one s brother into the club :laugh:. BTW anyone recommend some of the best roms and kernals that are the most stable I would greatly appreciate it so much thank you and long live the htc one s!!!!!:good::good::good::good:

I have AT&T One X ..now ...
ROOTED ! S-ON! TWRP and Stock JB ROM 4.1.1
And I love my phone now..
I always thought rooting was the work bad guys do...
In 15 Min .. I got my phone rooted and got Rooted Apps installed.... Although it took 15 days to read and understand the terminologies what you guys use.. :silly:
Finally, A big big big thanks to all Moderators to keep the forum CLEAN and useful..
Any Noob can be a GEEK (or Atleast 50% Geek) after reading and going through this forums..
