So as far as I can tell sense 4.0 will not becoming to the Sensation via HTC and from reading these boards I notice that some of the Developers out there have begun porting sense 4.0 into ROM's which can be used on the Sensation
My question is which ROM is the most stable and bug free and closest to the stock HTC One which has sense 4.0 and can be used on the Sensation?
Thank you for any help and advice given
4.0

There is no right answer to this, no two Sensations are exactly the same and in terms of ROM'S, radio's, kernal's and so on opinions WILL vary. The ports are getting better but that tends to happen with time. Best advise we can give you is try them for yourself and decide. Its your phone, use whats best for you. Getting off my soapbox now, I thought Virtuous was pretty good but when back to ARHD until ports are better.

ARHD isn't a Sense 4.0 ROM, it's Sense 3.6, and Virtuous Inquisition isn't Sense 4.0, it's a de-sensed ROM from Sense 3.6 but still contains Sense libs and camera.

The most stable out of the Sense 4.0 ROMs is Ordroid, others simply haven't caught up to it yet. Virtuous has started one but it will be a wait before it catches up to Ordroid - Ordroid was established before most of the other Sense 4.0 ROMs so that will probably be the most stable and bug free, not to mention closest to the One Series. Elegancia 4.0 has a differently themed status bar, so it isn't stock.

Thanks, I'm well aware that my dialy driver ARHD is a sense 3.6, however heres the title of what I was referring to [X Series] Virtuous S4V Alpha3 [Sense 4.0 Android 4.0.3], link is below and as you can clearly see its a SENSE 4.0. I would not refer to a AOSP ROM when the OP is clearly asking about 4.0.

OrDroid is the best Sense 4 ROM. It gets updated everyday, literally, everyday. It does have a few bugs but as far as random reboots and crashes, none of those. It's very stable I use it as my daily driver.
Is it stable enough to use it every Day, also for working? Is the performance Like on Sense 3.6? I'm asking cause I was that silly to download the update to ics -> I'm s-on. need to wait for juopunutbear tool to test it myself. :banghead:

I use it every single day, no problem. Besides mms and bluetooth are buggy. Everything else works like a charm. I don't think its as fast and smooth as say ARHD with Sense 3.6 but its pretty close.

This right here. OrDroid is an excellent ROM. And Shnizlon is always fixing/changing things and listening to feedback.

VI is not an AOSP ROM. It is a de-sensed ROM, which looks like AOSP. However, it is based on Sense 3.6 and contains many of the libs still there. A true AOSP ROM is compiled from scratch or based on the CM9/AOKP source.
Otherwise, Ordroid is much more established than S4V.
As mentoined above OrDroid is an excellent Sense-4 rom with a helpful dev-team. There is also InsertCoin which is as stsble and fast as OrDroid. Both roms auto loads your apps from Play Store after flashing.Very convenient for a flashaholic like myself.

You never mentioned either, so maybe it would be helpful if I didn't assume and you didn't think someone could see into your mind to predict what you mean.

This is the last I'm speaking on this, its not my fault you assumed i was talking about VI and didn't SEARCH. I didn't assume others could read my mind but there is more than one Virtuous rom.
I'm on insertcoin rc5 now.
Works good, not super smooth while turning pages on home screen.
Any reason to switch to ordroid?

I already knew about the other Virtuous ROM, however, S4V is much less established, and when you mentioned ARHD, you could be easily talking about VI too. It isn't my fault you chose not to mention the actual name of the ROM.
How is the battery life on OrDroid and InsertCoin? Compared to Sense 3.6 Roms? I really want to flash Sense 4 but I need battery life that is at least on par with most Sense 3.6 roms, I need to make it through a day. Thanks

I've just flashed my phone with 2 sense 4 roms. first with Blue Sense. looks fine but it tweaked a lot and and with the DX, sometimes it's just confusing.
With OrDroid, everything seems to be work fine even some says they unable to pair with other device, but I managed to get my phone paired with my laptop..
I wanted to go on and try other sense 4 roms but seems to me, I will stick with OrDroid for a while until there is complete bug free rom released.

Don't forget the following non-functioning items:
- wifi hot spot
- HTC Watch (can not watch rented movies)
- camera bugs (face detection, HDR)
It is a great ROM, but still has a ways to go to get out of beta. I love it but cannot use it as a daily ROM because of the bugs. Of course all the Sense 4 ROMs have these bugs.
EDIT: FOUND MY ANSWER. however...
did some searching and i guess that the WiFi calling issues are due to Tmobile so i guess we'll get working Wifi calling whenever Tmobile releases their update for the sensation :[ which could take up to a month or more (theyve been saying April how long now? 2 months? BS.)
i guess my options would be either revert back to Gingerbread or stock ROMS with functional wifi calling ORRR suck it up until they release the update and devs apply the working wifi calling to their roms eh?
Which sense ROMs out there would you say are the most "complete" as far as less bugs?

About ROMS
for sense 3.6 ROMs...there a are lot of them..ICS 4.0
Android Revolution HD is a complete one with almost no bugs...fully developed..
(Goota select the right kernel...sebastian, faux, bricked...)
insertcoin epic ROM- good one too
elegancia ROM series with awesome animations- which few dont like...
Many more...ARHD Best of them all
For sense 4.0 Roms..
Ordroid is awesome..updated everyday..has few bugs...
Sense 3.6 for now
Been trying a few Sense 4.0 ROMS. Some were very good and stable, some had a few minor issues - as usual fixed very quickly by the rockstar developers.
My personal view, I didn't find a major improvement in my user experience with Sense 4.0. That coupled with the rock stable nature of 3.6 ROMs, I am sticking with 3.6 for now.
Some experiences with Sense 4.0:
1. Noticeable lag when switching back to the home screen. Insert Coin. Not sure if fixed.
2. Camera crash - ordroid but has been fixed.
3. SMS widget was ICS stock - Elegancia - fixed.
Virtuous Eclipse i thought was the best among Sense 4.0 ROMs. No obvious issues.
That said, the day Android Revolution HD comes out with a Sense 4.0 ROM, i switch immediately.
I have the feeling that the Ordroid Rom is no longer close to the original. I would have liked this Rom as much as possible unchanged.
I like Sense 4.0 on Android Revolution HD 6.6.2!
: D
Sense 3.6 ROMs are without a doubt, the most COMPLETE. Sense 4.0 still has bugs, but I hope not for long. However, Sense 4.0 ROMs are known to be faster as Sense has been made lighter.
For a hassle free experience, Sense 3.6 ROMs are perfect currently.

of course, other advice are always welcomed

I'm running coibdroid right now and I really reccomend it, its very nice and the support and update speed is very nice, once you get things configured right battery life is above average, however like other sense 4.0 roms there are still bugs like Bluetooth and WiFi calling

don't get sense 4
I have Sensation, and I tried InsertCoin.
It seems that InserCoin is the most recommender rom with "stable" sense 4.
Well it is hardly stable, had many bugs.
I am using Revolution ICS by Mike1986, it has sense 3.6, I think you should try it until Mike1986 releases a stable sense 4 version, because when Mike1986 says the rom is stable, IT REALLY IS.
Goodluck, and if you find a really stable sense 4 rom, please share
Stable? Sense 4.0?

Coindroid definitely. Check it out

If your aim is stability then avoid Sense 4. The most stable roms are going to be the ones based on the 3.6 ICS update made for our phones. I'm not saying Sense 4 roms aren't stable, but a rom like ARHD ICS is certainly more so.
If you need the Bluetooth Hands Free option on your phone then you will not want Sense 4. Unfortunately that is one option that all the Devs have yet to fix.
Personally I cannot wait for them to do it, Sense 4 is great, but the Hands free is a necessity for me, so I'm back on 3.6.
I try a lot of roms with Sense 4, but stable, really stable only CoinDroid by Shnlon n Baad

I'd agree with this. I'm running CoinDroid and I like it, but I have frequent lockups. This seems to be related to wifi (with wifi off it runs all day, but if wifi is on and I move between access points I end up doing a battery pull or use adb to reboot). Bluetooth, FM radio, and internet pass-through don't fully work. If you don't rely on those capabilities it's "stable", but otherwise stick with 3.6.
Hey, I've been away from the xda scene for a while, I currently using break 2.3.4(I don't remember what rom) so, what current roms are good for a T-Mobile Sensation 4G
What I need:
Wi-Fi calling must work and be stable, I live in an area will very poor service.
Needs to be smooth and stable
Preferably ICS( I know I need to flash firmware so If you could tell me which one that would be great, along with the radio)
Battery life is very important.
I usually just flash a couple roms and see what works best, but there's just to many anymore so some guidance would be greatly appreciated!
The best one that I have tried is this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663665
This is the Elegancia rom (Android 4, Sense 3.6) that has Beats Audio, WiFi Calling & Bluetooth Dialing Working.
I cant stress how many ROMs I tried but none of them seemed to be able to make WiFi Calling & Bluetooth Dialing work together. It was always one or the other. This is the Only ROM I have tried that had both working perfectly.
I also run the Faux kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216197) and find exceptional battery life, CPU runs much cooler, and clocked at 1.73 GHz.
Thanks! I'll be sure to try it out!
Also to clarify, there are a few different Elegancia ROMs that work with the phone. I have tested them all and on the TMOUS 4G, they dont all work as well. The one I linked to was based off of the Official TMobile release whereas the other ones are based off of the European release.
Follow up...
So I spoke too soon... Looks like the programming that TMobile uses to monitor WiFi Hotspot use is still in place on the TMobile version of the Elegancia ROM.
MAJOR bummer.

I think it'll happen on each Rom since it checks the user agent string from your browser since its sent through the network. If you really want hotspot then use a third party app

Virtuous inquisition for me. haven't had any issues. Elegancia would be my go to were it not for that hideous blue stock color and cheesy icons. If you can deal with that then go for those roms assuming you're into sense

I use HyperNonSense 2.7. Just have to add wi-fi calling from one of the addon packs. It works just fine for me. I have not tried using the hotspot function, so I can't comment on that. However, with this rom and Bricked 1.1 kernel, I get great battery life with a stable and streamlined rom. Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but good luck in your search for the combination that works for you.
ARHD is working perfectly for me.
Try Ordroid 7.1.1, its stabel and wifi hotspot app works. Also wifi calling works flawlessly... I get great battery use as well...
Give us some more info, are into Sense, AOSP. I've run just about every ROM currently available. I've started a battery test thread, it's in my sig. Just to give people an idea.
If you want Sense 4 - OrDroid is a great ROM.
If you want Sense 3.6 - Elegancia Phoenix if you like strongly themed. LeeDroid has great performance. ARHD if you prefer a stock look but strongly modded for performance.
If you want AOSP - I haven't run many because I am spoiled with HTCs keyboard, but OpenSensation, HyperNonSense. If you want strongly themed, AOKP Eye Candy.
If you like AOSP but prefer to keep the HTC Framework, SmartDroid Lilith or Virtuous Inquisition (I think this is a Sense base.)
And then if you like AOSP but like the performance of a Sense ROM, you can go with Shniz's ICS Theme located in 'Themes and Apps'.
For Wi-Fi calling you can install the latest TMoUS working. There is a thread for it. For the Wi-Fi Hotspot - there is a working third party app.
And of course, there are many kernels available - once you find a ROM you like, I say give a few a try and decide which you like best.
All the above is my opinion.
It stills comes down to user preference. You'll just have to give a few a try and determine which one you prefer.
Sense 4 ROMs are all ports from the HTC One series so expect some bugs. But if you want one, go Ordroid. That ROM is heavily maintained and fixed on.
ARHD is as stock as you can find them. But its mostly the structure of the ROM that is modified, not the appearance.
But you need WIFI calling.. Try ARHD.
Just try a few dozen roms yourself, then you can get the real picture! Happy Flashing

You will see almost no difference in download speed by changing roms, if any at all. The radio stays the same and the RILs probably match - that's the only thing that changes with a rom - ril files.
Best Sense Roms
OrDroid in my opinion is the best sense rom, it's sense 4.0 fast and stable, HDMI out and WiFi tether don't work, I personally got wifi tether to work by changing setting to HTC Amaze and generic ics. The developer keeps the rom up to date and works every day to make it better. Team pokemon's rom is also doing pretty well, its new and there are a lot of good developers on the pokemon team, make a nandroid backup, flash and see which one you lik
