I have both ADW Launcher and WidgetLocker installed on my Kfire. Everything works great but when i select a wallpaper it gets zoomed in and looks like garbage.
Im doing it by long tap on the homescreen > wallpaper > gallery > then i have my JPG image.
I think i must be doing something wrong.. this is my first Android so excuse my n00biness

I was having the same problem so i just went with a live wallpaper. This shouldn't be a problem once we have custom ROMs.

Yea, i found the only fix seemed to be live wallpapers... but i don't like them as much and would like to have my own picture. Is that the only fix then?

I have tried 4 different Launcher's now..
AWD.Launcher
Go Launcher Ex
LauncherPro
TouchWiz
On the first 3, every time i set a background image, i only get the middle section of it all pixilated and halfassed.
With all 4 of them, you long press the background, select wallpapper > Gallery > find Pic> select Tall Cut out & set accordingly.
The only one that manages to actually set the picture area properly as the tall cutout crops to is TouchWiz.
What is it doing wrong or what am i not getting?
any help would be a kindness to this poor soul of mine
Try Wallpaper Wizardrii from the market it has different options of cropping. I use it and it works GREAT!
From what I know if your on whites tw4 then it does that even if you use a different launcher. The wallpapers work fine on his tw4 but not on any other launcher while tw4 is still installed
Hope that helps

Worked Perfectly, thankyou
Could not find an answer anywhere. I would like to have just one wallpaper for all screens just like stock launcher scrollable. Multipicture set the same picture in each screen so when you scroll the whole pic. moves too. is there any fix to this could not figure out?

ADW settings > General Behavior > Animation and Effects > uncheck "wallpaper scrolling"
Thanks for helping, that was one of the things i tried did not work
Check this app out: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.miui.home
Looks amazing; you can use any MIUI theme (.mtz) as the lockscreen. Get themes from here: http://www.miuithemes.com/ or in the app.
Should work on stock, CM7 etc

Beautiful, works on stock ROM with 2.3.4.
BUUUT, almost all beautiful themes are in chinese (pffff), and the theme downloads take soooo much to finish. Right now I'm downloading a theme and after 4-5 minutes it is on 23% of the download...
And it has got so much few customization options (how the hell do you change the background picture???), you cannot place widgets on the lockscreen...
I'll try it for a bit more, but I think widgetlocker is a better option.
Great, but dont know how i can use my own wallpaper from gallery or livewallpaper

We know it, but going there you just can set for wallpapers the images of this program or a transparent image, but you can't select an image from your own gallery.
After using it a bit, I have to say that WidgetLocker>>>>>>> this.

Ah sorry, didn't realise. Have you sent them feedback about that? Should be easy enough to add
This seems like it should be simple! I have changed the wallpaper in Nova to a static image but the lockscreen still shows the Xperia live wallpaper. I tried switching back to Xperia launcher and setting it there but no luck. The lock screen still shows the live wallpaper instead.
Is there any way to set it to a static image?

Settings - personalization - lock screen or alternatively you can just go straight into your photo gallery , choose a pic and from the options select 'set as lock screen wallpaper'
I knew it would be something simple I was too dumb to find! Thanks
I wanna do the opposite. I've changed the theme and now I can't find a way to make the lockscreen wallpaper to be the same live wallpaper than my homescreen. I'm on kitkat rooted. help please =(

I don't think you can change lockscreen wallpaper to a live one, even rooted.
Hi all,
Sorry for the silly question, but this is driving me mad. I tried everything I could think of, followed a few tips, but still have the same picture...
I want to have a picture of mine I downloaded to the phone, I selected it from settings but it doesn't work of course.
I am on MIUI 7 by Xiaomi.eu 5.12.4 beta
I tried it from the settings screen but only option seems to be to choose online, other options seem to be for main wallpaper and changing them has no effect... I use MultiPicture Live wallpaper as a wallpaper, and even tried an option there to change the lockscreen.
Any tips?
Thanks,
Julien

I think you use a custom launcher? If yes, you have to go to settings, apps, default and then chose stock miui launcher as default launcher. On the stock launcher homescreen you can then swipe with 2 fingers (1 from the left side of the screen and 1 from the right side of the screen, towards the middle of the screen). Then you can change the lockscreen wallpaper. After that you can change back to your other launcher. This is a known bug/feature
Thanks. Will try this now! You are right, i am using Google now as launcher
It worked a treat. Thanks again!
I hope they fix this sometime, because this is a pain in the ass
