I'm running Dlevrom with the infusion 1.0 kernel, with the newest market. My problem is that pretty much everything in the market says, "your device is not compatible with this item". How do I fix that?

That's why its giving you that message. I don't think there is a fix for either. Other than changing your Dpi when the app you want to download from market gives you the incompatible message.

Ok it just spasticly decided to work.
I had this problem a week or two ago. I was running the stock, deodexed KL2. I tried everything to fix this. The only thing that i found that helped was changing the device # in the build.prop using root explorer. I went through the build.prop and changed all the I997s to I897. Once you do this, clear your market data and reboot your phone. Then open up the market and it should work.

So in essence, you are making an Infuse to be recognized as Captivate?
Does this changing work with dpi set to 200 too?

It makes the market think it's a captivate which for some reason is allowed to get more apps than the infuse. I don't mess with the dpi so i don't have a answer for you on that.

A bit too late I just now changed all values to 897 and left the dpi at 200. Let me check...

Nope. Market recognized mine as 897. But I think due to dpi at 200 it still shows root explorer as incompatible.
It may not work on all apps then. When i did this i was trying to buy some of the 99 cent gameloft games that wasn't showing up in the market for me. It worked for that.

Sorry man, i tried. Like i said it worked for me on those games. The bad part is when i want to play them i have to change the build.prop. If you find a good solid fix pm me and let me know.

Its not even showing any more apps... its only showing one that was being displayed for 997. Maybe 'cos my dpi at 200.
That's probably it. If you change it back to 240 it might help.

Dead End
I searched all over the forums and internet and couldn't find a solution for the Samsung Infuse. Adjusting the lcd density helps other devices it seems, but for us, we're just outta luck.
I'm running CM7 I've tried just about everything. I loved the customization of CM7, but I feel cut off from my phone despite that. The sound is off, plus the "non compatible apps" issue. I've reached my limit, I'm gonna flash back to stock.

If u changed your dpi, make sure it's set on 240 which is default. As stated above, and this can confuse the market, and thus giving u the compatibility issues.

i changed the device to ro.product.model=Nexus S in the build.prop to spoof the netflix app but still receiving the device support error -__-
OK so I did that. It should work according to some other forums I read. I was able to download the app from the market.
For some reason when I log in though closes after I hit sign in.

No issues here but I'm on a Nexus S 4G great quality on both 4G and WiFi ... I don't know if flash 10.3 has to do with anything ... Still it's a great app to finally have on Android

Rumors has it that Flash 10.3 has something to do with it, but it's also integration with the chipset itself that has a lot to do with it as well.
I guess I was one of those that skipped the netflix generation and went straight into online streaming. I use Amazon VOD for pretty much everything. No native video app those yet, just mostly use it on my google TV. I honestly don't watch TV or movies on my phone.

+1 on that. I tend to watch Netflix on my T-MoUS Galaxy Tab (just got it working on that platform) or my iPad if I'm remote and not at home.
It's really painful watching streaming video on my phone and I don't do that unless I absolutely have to.
Im currently in the process of testing a few things to get this to work on the GS4g. I was having the strange problem that the netflix app would go back to the home screen after I login.
I am editing the build props and trying a few other things out. So far nothing, but if I get it working I will post how to do it.
I did a little bit of research and it appears that we wont be able to use the netflix application at all unless we have gingerbread on our device.
So without a ginger rom we are out of luck, that is unless we find a workaround or they update the app anytime soon.
I came to this conclusion after looking through the Vibrant forums under the themes and apps section, they also are having trouble with the Application.

Yea some can on 2.2 but they are all htc or similar builds. The only samsung is nexus s with ginger. I will try that though. Ill let you know

Hey I found this Inverted MMS app here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1178250
I just tried it with the Virtuous ROM and seems to be working fine. Sending and receiveing texts and pictures works, contact photos are all there etc...
I pasted it in System/App using Root Explorer and then long pressed the file and changed the permissions to rw-r--r--
I then booted into recovery and cleared cache and dalvik, because I'm in the habit of doing so, and rebooted.
I am confirming it's working for me with the current Virtuous ROM 2.39.1 only because that's the one I'm using at the moment.
It looks great!! It was just was I was looking for.

followed your instructions, didnt change anything on Undead sense on crack.

I'm not positive about that ROM, but did you set the permissions of the new Mms and then reboot?

Ah ok, dang. Did you uninstall the first messaging app before pasting the new one in? Other than that, maybe it has something to do with the frameworks of the ROM and the app? I know swapping system apps doesn't work in every single case...

I had trouble getting this to work with the Bulletproof ROM last night. I made a nandroid backup before i tried it and then i tried like 5 times and it just wouldn't take so i did a full wipe, restored my latest backup and then it worked *shrug*

I think I found a bug. Whenever I compose a new message, I start typing the name and then it force closes. Anyone else getting this? Other than that, it was working very well with bulletproof latest version

Yessir, i'm getting this as well. Just applied the newest patch from today to fix a different issue in Bulletproof. The force close is also happening when i am composing an email in K9 Mail and i start typing a contact name..... So it might not be an issue with this app?
Well I hadn't tried it before today's patch either. Do you know if it was working okay before todays patch? I didn't save a backup of the old mms.apk. Does anyone have it? I can try it and see if it's a rom problem or the apk problem

I thought his latest update included the fix but maybe when you replace the stock app with this it breaks functionality again? I wish I could be of more help on this one. actually, I think the issue started after the patch romanbb released today, 10/17. have you flashed the patch from today? it did fix a different force close problem in the browser, but may have brought on new ones

I didn't flash the patch from today that's why i tried to remove my comment but I guess I was too late. I think there was a second patch released today that fixed it again but i wasn't having any problems so I just left mine as is for now

Lol it's driving me nuts. I thought I was hitting a key by accident too. Oh well I guess that means it's time to back to the stock app. I really liked how this looked too...unless there is something else causing it. I wish i could be more help..seemed like a good find

Yeah, I'm not sure why that is happening... I actually went back to the stock version myself, couldn't deal with it and couldn't figure out how to stop it from happening, lol.
I find it happens when I'm scrolling up to look at older texts and then start typing. It jumps all the way to the top. All I do is back out and then click the thread again. No biggie.

So I bought Chameleon Launcher for my TF101 and thought: This would look pretty good on my Note. So I did it!! Now my Note has Chameleon Launcher running perfectly.
What I did was:
- Made a backup of the Chameleon Launcher app with TB on my TF101
- Extracted the three files from my backup folder and put them on my backup folder on my Note.
- "Restored" Chameleon Launcher on my Note with TB
- Changed the System DPI to 192 (I`m on Paranoid Android)
- And that's it
It looks and works pretty good

It can but due to the widgets being so big you only get about two per screen and your phone has to be always in landscape or else it will force close. With 192 you can use your phone in portrait with no problems and you get a grid of 2x4 in portrait and 4x2 in landscape

I'm not sure, I would guess you would some how have to modify your build.prop to make it think it's a whole diferent device. On the other hand, if you could get the apk by any mean would probably be able to install it. But being it's a paid app, I strongly suggest buying it if you really like the launcher don't go out on a pirate hunt for the apk haha :silly:

Yes I can see that being a huge problem
I bought this app a while ago while it was still pre beta, but as yet haven't even been able to download it from the market.
Apparently a galaxy note screen is not enough to satisfy the download requirements.
I don't have a tablet either so not sure how I will get this on my phone now!

Yesterday i could install the launcher straight away
Running on stock rooted rom with 240dpi
Today the play store tells me i cant use it with my galaxy note... I have it installed but this means i wont get updates....
I already sent an email to the the delovoper that i want my money back

Update on #3. It does still have app-by-app auto-update... they just hid it. It's now in the menu (hit the menu button) rather than showing when you're just looking at the normal app page. So it takes opening up the app description, waiting for that to load, hitting the menu button, waiting for that to load, and then hitting the back button twice to get back to the app list now. Whereas before it was just open the app description and whether or not the description loaded, you could see the update status and just back out immediately. Way to simplify things, guys.

I'm running the transparent version right now. It's transparent lol I haven't found any bugs yet although my wallpaper kinda blends in with the text sometimes and that sucketh. Overall it's pretty cool
I don't really like the interface with the new play store. I'm trying to figure out how to make it blacked out with Team Blackout's thing.

I freakin' love the blackout theme with the choice of changing font color! I suggest people try it out if you don't like the updated Play Store.

Obviously I've tried this otherwise I wouldn't be posting. Any potential fixes/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
1 thing to note is that I've been in the settings and put in my location and it tells me it can't find that location. There was no problem before.

I never used mine but just tried and it won't even let me add my location, so my assumption would be the yahoo weather feed it used has been changed or is down, especially since it's across various roms, which all really have the same base.

Yeah, just saying that it still works on some ROMs, so it's apparently not all the backends failing. Unless PACman uses a different backend.
I know mine worked for a while ad then randomly, after spring break where I had no service so I left my phone off all week, it stopped working. is that just me or is that replicated by anyone?

My cm powered nook does the same thing. No data. I know that it doesn't have gps . I've tried to set location, but, no luck.

This problem has been bugging me for a month it seems now.
The first thing i did every morning was check the weather on the Lockscreen.
Maybe this isnt new but i have not found a fix in our forums so..
I went where of coarse... google.Started looking around to find a fix
and sure enough.Good ole XDA boys got it figured out and they have
a Flashable zip that i have tested and confirm it works on Slimbean 4.1.2 V4
There is also a standlone APK for 4.2. but it will not work with anything under 4.2
Here it is the one for Slimbean....
