Some good, some bad.
1) Does anyone else think its design looks Win8 Metro inspired?
2) More stuff, including free music I would have otherwise missed. That's nice.
3) No more app-by-app auto-update choices. Meh.

In general... it's the choice we're required to have, so I'll live with it.

Update on #3. It does still have app-by-app auto-update... they just hid it. It's now in the menu (hit the menu button) rather than showing when you're just looking at the normal app page. So it takes opening up the app description, waiting for that to load, hitting the menu button, waiting for that to load, and then hitting the back button twice to get back to the app list now. Whereas before it was just open the app description and whether or not the description loaded, you could see the update status and just back out immediately. Way to simplify things, guys.

Has anyone tried this yet?
I'm running the transparent version right now. It's transparent lol I haven't found any bugs yet although my wallpaper kinda blends in with the text sometimes and that sucketh. Overall it's pretty cool
I don't really like the interface with the new play store. I'm trying to figure out how to make it blacked out with Team Blackout's thing.

I did the same... It's better.
You can also create a folder and dump all of your apps into it and place it in the launcher dock. Makes it feel a little more "traditional." Glad you are all enjoying Miui. I know I am!

Faux's is the only kernel where I ran into issues. It does work, but ~sometimes~ I'm unable to hear callers and they can't hear me. It goes away though if I do a hard reboot (power + vol up). Stock CM kernel (included) works flawless and Morfic's seems to work flawless as well.

Looks the the Market is being re-branded. We'll now have a variety of "Play" apps. My apps haven't upgraded yet, but just so you know there are almost 30 apps on sale for 49 cents right now. Lots of great games and other things to make your skyrocket.. even skyrocket-ier. Anyone actually have all the Play apps yet?
My music and books apps updated already. Now they are play books and play music. Icons are different now too.

Yep... as I feared.... "Google Play" self installed right over my dark themed 3.4.4. Transparent Market (by PENDO)... that was a cool mod. Anyway, look for "Play Store" in your Apps list. It's version is 3.4.6. Hopefully PENDO will continue theming... but not sure.

I am going to start making wallpapers for the Skyrocket and posting them here. I do not plan do to personalized wallpapers for each user, but I will try to make ROM specific wallpapers by request. I suspect SkyICS, Alien, Superlite, and SilverROM will be the most requested so I will start with those, as well as doing generic Skyrocket Wallpapers or any other random stuff I make. I hope you guys enjoy my work. If you would like me to make a small adjustment to one of the wallpapers i put up, or have an idea you'd like me to try, feel free to suggest it and I will see what I can do.

Data workaround:
When you first boot JoyOS up, go to Settings>Operators>Access Point Names, and tap the radio button for Sprint. This unfortunately doesn't stick on reboot, so anytime you reboot you have to go back to APN's and instead of tapping the radio button, actually tap on Sprint. This will open the settings for the Sprint APN. Just back out of it and 3G will activate in a few seconds.
Bugs:
Some Chinese here and there.
Home and search keys, capacitive and physical, may stop working. A reboot fixes this. (Rare, only happened the very first time I got it booting.)
Lockscreen may stop appearing when you unlock your phone. A reboot fixes this. (Rare, only happened the very first time I got it booting.)
Sometimes sms' don't show up in the app when received. I don't know why, or a possible fix other than using a third party sms app. If you want to keep the iOS style, I suggest ChompSMS. (This may be an upstream issue with the SMS app.)

Variance is always good, regardless. I'm happy to learn there's more Android development out there I didn't know about. And besides, I've already stolen that Ipod Music clone... My wife and I both use our jailbroken iTouchs around the house and she'll love having the same player.

The lock screen issues have been fixed and will be released on next build...
Default dpi is 320, which i believe is stock
