Using RootExplorer move bootanimation.zip to system/media

You could replace it in the rom and than reflash your phone.

for bootanimation copy the bootanimation.zip using root explorer & paste it in
/system/customize/resource
for shut down animation copy the downanimation.zip root explorer & paste it in
/system/customize/resource
if you want the original bootanimation or shut down animation you can get from inside the zip of the original ROM in the same directory

Instructions
-your phone must be rooted
-rename the bootanimation.zip(downloaded file) to sanim.zip
-backup the original sanim.zip in /system/media
-use root explorer or equivalent to copy the file to /system/media
-change permissions to (where Y is yes )

-shutdown and boot again

hey..its does not work ..probably due to different resolution its 1280x720...
I placed it in system/media ..it did not show up
someone has to rescale it...
can you try to rename it to sanim.zip..

IMHO I am not impressed by Nexus Prime boot animation. I am not sure if it is the real one or a fake. Looks cluttered and random!!! I like the droid bionic and nexus S boot animation..

there is no sanim.zip file in /system/media but i have ODEAnim.zip i tried to name the downloaded file with both names . buts its not working for me I want to know where i'm going wrong

lol in my case it's the shutdown animation that doean't work , how do you turn off your device ? with button off or through the ShutDownAnimation app ? (this app doesn't appear in my launcher nor in link2sd !!) i attached a modified version for those who doesn't have working bootanimation (optimized size)
EDIT : another version with loop and fade added ! attention this one is not a flashable zip , just rename to bootanimation.zip and place in /system/media/ then set correct permissions

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Copy bootanimation.zip in system/media and set permission rw-r-r for sound copy PowerOn.ogg in /system/media/audio/ui and set permission

bootanimation contains 2 folder part &part1 when extracting can i extract the bootanimation.zip or copy as it is.when i go to copy this file in system/media it says cant copy all files some are readonly

You have to copy to the folders were after extraction of the file from zip u find....Copy all .qmg files to system/media and if overwrite is asked then overwrite it and change permission to rw-r-r and copy PowerOn file to system/audio/ui and change permission to rw-r-r...
