Cannot Get 7z Files To Work!!!!!!!!

OK Ive Done Everything I Can Think Of But Im New To THis Stuff..Can Someone Please Give Me A Step By Step On THis..Ive Been Trying To Install THe Energy Sense 23557 I THink It Is For My Hd2(Leo) and Ive Downloaded On My Phone And On My Computer But I Dont Know What TO Do After That..Ive Tried Using The jzip and zip manager but i really dont understand what im supposed to be doing..can someone please help me..i really want that rom..thanks
Welcome aboard!!
Go here and download the 7Z software that will run on your OS.
http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Then extract the ROM using 7Z.
Follow flashing instructions posted in the sticky thread at the top of your respected devices forum and your done.
I have tried the energy ROM's and they are well done.
Install 7-zip, then right click on the .7z file and under 7-zip, select 'extract files' (don't select 'extract files here', it can be a mess if there's a lot of stuff in there). A pop-up may appear (can't remember); just click ok and it will take a minute or so.

how to flash [Energy.Leo.23673.Sense2.5.Cookie.Jul.30.7z] to HD2?

someone tell me use the LeoCustomRUU to flash .7z file to hd2, but failure.
Try reading the stickies in the ROM section to figure out how to flash the phone. If you are still confused then come back with the questions.

active sync your phone to ur comp...dounle click....and go.
make sure you've read ALL INFORMATION REGARDING PROPER FLASHES,
close the antivir programm
You can always ask for help in Rom thread instead open a new one........anyway, the .7z its an archive uou must decompress the you will have a Ruu_Signed.nbh ,this is the rom file, put this one togheter with the LeoCustomRuu.exe and run it.

It's really only one file.. its just split in 2 for downloading sake.. when you extract it does part 1 then connects to part 2 and extracts the rest

UPDATE-ZIP/Flashable-zip Whole-file Signer

Here I present,
An easy to use and effective, Flashable-zip(or update.zip) Signer!
There are many update-zip(flashable zip) Signers available, but this is special.
This Signer WHOLE-FILE signs your update.zips/flashable-zips, so it can pass even recovery's Signature Verification(Tested on CWM 5.0.2.8 on HTC Wildfire S)!
Unfortunately, as I am not very veryGood at C/C++ Programming, this tool does not have a Graphic User Interface(GUI).
I apologize, but as I am new to XDA, I don't know how to insert pictures, "Code:" etc, so this thread may look very ugly to you.
Oh yes! And DON'T EVER delete any file included in the zip, as it will cause the zip signer to malfunction.
I may have made this flashable-zip Signer, but I couldn't have done it without this people:
zeppelinrox ( for teaching me a little C/C++ Programming with his scripts )
The creator of signapk.jar ( an important part of this tool )
Google ( For Creating Android so that these tools can be developed )
YOU! ( for testing out my flashable-zip Signer )
And many more, who I apologize for leaving you out
Guide to using this zip signer
To Use this Signer:
1) Unzip the file(Obviously!)
2) Copy & paste the update-zip(a.k.a flashable zip) that you want to sign into that folder.
3) Run ROM Signer.bat
4) Follow the instructions in the application.
5) When it says "File successfully signed......", You are DONE!
After File signing operation succeeds, check the "signed" folder for your signed zip file.
Thank you for Using my Flashable-zip Signer!
I would appreaciate if you would hit the "Thanks" button.

Sorry let me better understand your issue first, you want to create a flashable update.zip for installing your firmware files right? So you want to create the correct META-INF files from scratch? Do you have TWRP recovery installed on your phone already? Cos it supports a newer kind of META-INF structure that makes a lot easier. Also your firmware files are for installing into the /system partition, or to be flashed? Sorry for having so many questions haha, I can better help you if I understand the technical details

[Completed] How to "push" files from a zip-ped app

Hi I have a China tablet that has no apparent "recovery" and I'm afraid of flashing a recovery and risk bricking it.
I want to try to install a zipped app. (Maxx Audio) the file structure is
- Meta-INF
- System
somewhere in the "system" there is an apk file
I presume I "install" that apk file, then copy all the files under "system" into the "system" folder of my tablet?
Where do i put "meta-INF" files?
Thank you very much. Apologies for sounding dumb. I have googled for a few days and found no answer so I thought I'd ask at XDA.
Any help is appreciated.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist and it's difficult to point you towards a specific forum since you didn't provide any information about which device/ROM/file you have in mind. The file you describe seems to be a common "flashable ZIP" designed to be loaded by a custom recovery such as TWRP. Without such a recovery, you would need to study the steps included in whatever scripts are in the "meta-INF" directory and duplicate them manually from a terminal emulator prompt or maybe from an ADB link to a desktop or laptop, an eminently dangerous endeavor NOT recommended unless you're positive you know what you're doing. If you need more information, try asking with all relevant details in the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help. That's a good place to start where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you. You could also ask wherever you found the file you're attempting to install.
Good luck!
Thank you. In the zip thread someone said just to install the apk and then push the files and it worked for him.

It all depends on what command(s) the script in the ZIP file contains but I'm sure whoever uploaded the file can help you. As mentioned earlier, we cannot provide technical support here, sorry.
