so i have a sensation 4g but would like to try the xe stock kernel. but ill ive found are revert to stock kernels and those dont work they just revert me to 1.2ghz. i know i can use faux or bricked kernel but i know i cant be the only one that would like to try the stock one for the sensation xe.

I have been locking for a stock ROM of the Sensation XE but all I found where custom ROMS based on the XE.
Are there any working stock Sensation XE ROMs? Couldn't find anything with the search function.

3. Flash the XE RUU
You now have a 100% stock XE, albeit with 1.2GHz rather than 1.5GHz

ive read about people flashing custom kernels on other roms but i want to keep my phone on its stock rom and OC it just a lil bit...
im running the stock europe sensation le rom on my usa t-mobile sesation and i love it everything works and its really fast

flash EddyOS stock xe Rom then just flash a different kernel over it. You cannot I don't think have pure stock and custom kernel.

but, i am tired of flashing custom roms and looking for the "best" rom.
Now, i guess i want backt to Stock Rom. With flashing Eddies Rom is it possible to receive OTA's in the future (because of coming ICS).

Look the thing is, as soon as any hint of ICS ROM test or official gets leaked, I guarantee that within 2 days there will be custom ROM's so best stick to non stock for now.
To answer your question, no I don't think it possible to receive OTA updates on EddyOS

Yes, with a rooted phone you can install custom a Kernel or Rom.
Download and install ROMmanager. This will allow you to install Clockworkrecovery. Once that is installed you can download your choice of Kernel - I can personally recommend Bricked or Faux kernels - found elsewhere here on xda. Save the downloaded file to your sd card and select the Install ROM from SD card option in ROM manager.
NOTE: Before you install this, make a NAND backup - you will get prompted by Rom manager - this will allow you to restore back to your current position if you experience any problems or are unhappy with the update.

See what the dev recommends. If not go off of what base the dev uses. Or you can always leave it stock if it works like youd like it too. does any one know where i can download the stock sensation xe kernel. i would love to try it on my sensation 4g. i know i can just flash bricks or fauxs kernal but i would just like to try the stock on from htc. and ive tried the revert to stock kernel that some of the roms include in the extra section but that just bring me back to the 1.2ghz kernel.

There is no stock kernel there is a revert to stock kernel file but that reverts the sensation 4g to the 1.2ghz kernel

I think it's wrong thread, u should ask in Q&A. As far I know there is no source code so they can not work on it. SebastianFM has hex modified stock kernel for ICS builds.
Q & A should have been a better place to ask. I'm on SebastianFM for ICS 3.30.401.1 and is running smooth as hell.
My guess would be that these devs will create a kernel once the source is out officially. That's what I remember hearing n their threads a while back. Everything is looking like we should get an ics update by end of march. Let's hope..

You'll be able to pull the stock kernal from the stock rom, which is located here.
I have no idea how to rip the kernel from the rom...I just want a flashable zip

Do you want the Stock AOSP kernel for ICS or the hTc Ics stock kernel?
I recommend that you flash Sebastian's Kernel v1.20 from HERE.
That version is basically stock Kernel (the source was not out yet) but hexedited to speed the clock up. I use it and is stable as a rock and with excellent battery life.

I've pulled the Stock Kernels from Sensation Xe and normal for ICS.
And made them flashable through a .zip, but do a nandroid first.
I need the HTC sense stock kernel and not the aosp...I tried to flash ur zip and it just told me installation aborted.
