sidekick 4g help - T-Mobile Sidekick 4G

I need help with my sidekick 4g I recently rooted and installed cwm I followed the noob version and also failed at it. Because I got an erro when I tried to reinstall packages,Afterward I looked up a video whre it was easier to do this. It did work and so I continue with the noob guide which told me to backup my data which I did. After so I followed every step , but when I tried deleting the data /format it the bar never fills up. I want to fix it and my gallery doesn't open it say memory full delete some apps. Why is this? I'm confuse

U need to get a bigger sd card or copy the back up off the sd card to save it then delete the one on the sd card to gain space

What about the erase data? Why cant I format data but I can do cache and the other one.

[Q] Noob question about roms

I have been using Skyraider roms for a while now and love them, but since i have been doing the updates I have run out of room on my SD card. Can someone please tell me the files that can be deleted off of the card. I always do a backup when installing a rom, can i delete it ? if so what is the file name? please help.... oh yeah it on a droid incredible
I would simply copy everything you need to an external SD card or computer and do a full wipe/factory reset before installing the latest rom. This should clear everything unnecessary and most likely speed up your phone
You could try my app and see if you can get some more space.

Backups will be in the clockworkmod folder on your SD card and they do take up quite a bit of space.

How can I wipe all items from cappy memory?

Hi everyone. I just got a replacement cappy from AT&T and I want to complete wipe out everything from the memory. Ive done a reset and in start up with no apps, but all my music and pics are still there. I did the startup into recovery menu and chose to clear data, but again, my pics and music and other files are still there.
Can anyone tell me the best way to completely wipe everything off the phone so its like I just got it stock?
Hook up your captivate to your computer and delete everything off the internal SD card.
Have you tried
Settings, privacy, factory data reset.
Out you can use odin and use master clear

I wasnt sure if that was ok because I didnt know if there was any systems files that I had to worry about deleting. If not though, I think I will just do that.

I did do that, but all music, pics and videos are still on the memory.
If you hook up to your pc you will not see system files so you will not be able to delete them

Also Titanium Backup will give you that choice, as well as a ton of other options, like to make a backup copy of apps and their data to the sd card. Flashed my phone and restored all my programs with saved passwords data and everything using this program. The ROM I have now automatically installs all apps to the sd card unless they are required to be on the internal mem. :)

A lot of crap on the device p3110

Well this may sound stupid but i masterd the root and flash method, i thought. But when i factory reset the tab, wipe cache and dalvik and all that there is still a lot of old crap on the device. There is however an option which says format sdcard, and there is the problem. I am kind of a chicken sh#t and do not dare to select that option, affraid of wiping everything and not be able to flash a new rom. Do i have to format sd begore flashing a new rom?

The crap will be there till you load another rom. Yiu can always remove some stuffs from system/app but i think you shouldnt. Hope some1 with more knowleege can confirm or correct me.

Depends on the stuff you want to delete, but wiping your SD card is not the right choice unless everything on your SD card is just junk.
Load a ROM that is more to your taste and/or use Titanium Backup to remove the bloatware that you want gone.
If you want to use stock ROM then root your device and use Titanium Backup to remove bloatware (back up the app then freeze it or delete it.) then reboot.
I tried that option when I had cm 10 on my tablet it deleted evething on my internal sd card but did not mess with my system ..after doing that I booted normally into cm 10 from cwm....:cyclops:

error backing up via cwm

was tring to make a back up through cwm recovery but it stopped saying error it backed up to the internal memory now im getting system full checked have like 14mb space did have approx2- 2.5gb of space trying to find it in es file explorer but having no luck what under and where would it be stored in es file explorer so i can delete it. sorry if this is a stupid question but im still learning all this any help greatly received..
Edit I forgot to mount my sd card in recovery. Doh
The easiest way is to go back to cwm and delete it from there...by the way, cwm and twrp recoveries store their backups under the root folder of the internal/external storage, in your case it would be /storage/sdcard/cwm
Or just ask Google for a more detailed answer .
