Constant Empty download notification - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hello all,
Since I enabled Xtra download for faster GPS lock, an empty download notification keeps showing up.
It seems it's notifying a background download.
I've tried on different ROMs and have the same problem.
Is there a way to disable this kind of blank notification?
Thanks

Its the agps conf file downloading... you'll have to configure that gps app for not to update it so often, or try gpstest, and update agps manually under the settings menu....

Anyone else notice anything strange about Enabling Data?

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is just my phone or not, but I can't seem to disable the data connection outside of the widget from the notification bar.
I first noticed the problem when I was attempting to create a profile that would turn off the data connection and back on every 15 minutes, but it failed to do anything.
Afterwards, I tried out some apps such as Widgetsoid2.x and put Mobile Data and 2G/3G onto the widget. However, I noticed that turning off the data from the widget would show it being off on the widget but it'll remain on in the notification bar. If i turn it off through the notification bar, the widget on the homescreen would be off. However, clicking the homescreen widget to turn it on would bring up the Mobile Network Settings screen with a toast saying, "Enable Data First".
Anyone else got this problem or have a solution?
Its not just you, I have profiles setup using Llama to switch WiFi on and off depending on where I am and of course I have it turn data off when WiFi is on.
Now I'm not sure if its a glitch related to turning it off manually, but it doesn't seem to turn back on when out of range of WiFi despite having a rule setup to do that. Yet other rules work perfectly. I just assumed it was a bug with Llama and figured I could like with it.

how to remove mobile data notification

i always get this notification to connect to mobile data when i reboot the tablet or when i use honeybar to show the status bar after it was hidden. it's annoying. how do i remove this notification?
you could turn off notifications in the system panel. You probably dont want to do that though. Do you get the notification when you are connected to a mobile network? Is the message about the date/time is not set automatically, etc.?
I could understand after a reboot, if it is just slow to load and connect at boot.
I dont see why you would get this after toggling honeybar.
hi chris,
turning off notifications doesn't help. everytime the tablet boots or the status bar re-appears (as a result of honeybar) i get this notification "mobile connection is currently disabled. you need to connect to mobile data to use data applications... blah blah blah". you don't get this message in your version of the tab plus? btw i flashed your ics theme it works fine but i have a small problem, check the theme thread
so it just the notification? or do you actually see your signal drop?? did you just get this device? someting leads me to believe it may be network/connection related. rather than actual software bug? how is your mobile settings configured in settings?

its not a bug.. the problem is because of the method used to call/show back the status bar. i read somewhere* it have to reload something** to show the status bar.
* i forgot where i read it
** and i forgot what it reloads too
lol
never happened to me with honeybar 1.5

Hide it app bugged.

Hello, I have a problem with the app Hide it. I used it to hide settings under apps and now I can't get to settings through the menu button or the notification bar. I have un-hide it, but it just goes back once the refresh button is pushed.
I un installed the app, still gone.
I have tried a dirty flash of syn 1.7 but still no settings.
This is quiet infuriating to be Frank. If anyone has advice please lay it on me. Thank you
*update* I restored and it fixed the problem.

GPS disconnects when minimized

I am running ICS 404 with CWM on Micromax A90S. When GPS is on and any related app is running like maps/waze, gps test etc, GPS icon appears is notification bar. It stays there once locked. However if I minimize the app pressing the home key, the app runs in the background but the gps signal disappears. So when the app is launched again, it takes time to lock. Is this default in Android?

Put most of your apps/apps you don't usually use to always optimize!
I turned off the notification by going to settings>battery and selecting "Turn off" or "Always optimizing" for every app shown. The "Automatically optimizing" option (3, 5, or 7 days) will create the notification if the app isn't used by the number of days selected. Remember that when an app is optimized (either always or auto after 3/5/7 days), the app will not update or give you notifications until you open it.
