Tried it just now. But I didn't see any improvement other than cut and paste.

i just had a htc hd7 and i now i have a htc 7pro, and i want to do a jailbreak on it.
I presume that is like hd7 and i have to put a rom previous to nodo and then jailbreak and then put the no nodo with zune.
My question is where i can find a rom before nodo? i see this forum and i not understand if there is any rom before nodo

i have tried this on the trophy and it causes reboots and over heats the phone highly unstable
would you check please if you can find something newer or pre nodo rom for verizon trophy thanks in advance?
yep. found out the hard way. couldn't flash the ansar rom after this too. so i sent it back for warranty. let see what happens.

nope it looks more like the rom that htc or verizon used to demo the unit because it loads adverstisment of the device on standby

i think we're gonna have to wait for a mango release. There should be a warning NOT to flash this rom. I shipped mine back to HTC/PCD and am still waiting for the phone to be returned.

unfortunatly, the demo rom junk still comes back. 'ansar' said he will repost a new rom, but i haven't seen it yet.
if anyone can provide us with a base/stock rom, i will write up instructions on how to get to mango (7661) without being dev unlocked once i get there

What that article doesn't tell you is what version of Zune you need. If you've updated it, uninstall, then install zune from the official zune site. DO NOT WINDOWS UPDATE before you use this program. Plus in the phone, run the Update program, it'll do the rest.
Once it's done, open your phone in the zune software, and check for Device update (not zune software), it'll update to a newer version. Once that first phone update is done, check again, and THATS the Mango beta. The Mango beta will take around 40 minutes and appear unresponsive at times, so be patient.
Enjoy! I absolutely LOVE Mango so far, even though most apps dont multitask yet.

If you've got an European Trophy u could flash it with the latest HTC Shipped Mango ROM.

Indeed, I guess u can always flash it with the new DFT Freedom ROM V2 when it comes out, should have internet sharing.
I wonder if flashing a ROM with the RRU will wipe out my device (e.g. remove the interop unlock which is required for my current work) or just update the current OS (and Keep the Tools to unlock)

Pretty sure it wipes the entire device, also u can't have HSPL installed, says it will brick your device. I had to apply the dev unlock again after flashing.

No, it's perfectly possible to IU the Samsung second-gen. Look up the Windowbreak project.
That said, a few caveats:
If your firmware is too new ("KK2" version) you won't be able to use Windowbreak.
Just because you can interop-unlock the phone doesn't mean apps written for first-gen Samsung phones, like WP7 Root Tools, will work. Samsung changed the drivers and the new ones not only can't be used by existing apps, so far nobody has been able to use them for new homebrew either. There's some kind of lock-down on them. WP7 Root Tool v0.9 claims to support second-gen, though.
An unlocked bootloader (for custom ROMs) is not yet available on Samsung gen2.

I believe the person is from India and None of the Omnia W (infact all second generation phones from Nokia/HTC) sold in India are unlockable.
The Samsung Omnia W is not from Nokia or HTC, and is quite unlockable regrdless of where you bought it... provided the firmware version isn't too high (which it shouln't be, right out of the box).

Also, why are you posting your OS version when I already said it's your Firmware version that matters? Look up how to check your Samsung firmware version; if you have KK2 you'll need to roll back before you can use WindowBreak.

I also faced this issue. I don't know exactly what made it appear, but I think that it was turning cell phone off and on again. Try this

Unfortunatelly, I doubt that I can help you because my actions was chaotic and though I consider my device Interop-unlocked, it acts a bit strange
What I've done:
I don't know why, but Heathcliff's app didn't worked for me even for the out-of-box device. Then so did windowbreakproject. I tried wbp several more times and rebooted phone. This time it worked. After installing updates I was unable to interop-unlock it so I rolled back to previous firmware and next day tried again. This time wpb worked from the first try and of course skrewed my 3G. None of the Heathcliff's advises worked, but fortunatelly I've managed to restore it all by myself. Take my words with a grain of salt because for instance Advanced Config app works unstable from time to time throwing Win32 Exception, I also can't change accent colors with it, however I can access all the other functions. TouchXperience works well.
May be I'm missing something, but it seems that my phone is on KK2(after 8107 Zune installed "Samsung update") and interop unlocked.
I guess that since my Omnia W is on the KK7 firmware, it won't work for me. Gonna try the reboot thing to see if that works.

If you search carefully you can find that files for free, but unfortunately even with that downgrade you can´t use windowbreak, I did that procedure, was own experience!

So I've successfully unlocked the bootloader of my T-Mobile OnePlus 8, and I was wondering if there was any way to convert it to the Global OxygenOS firmware? And if something goes wrong, is there any way to flash back to the T-Mobile firmware? I haven't been able to find any threads relating to this subject.

Well you can always use MSM tool to go back to stock, and as far as converting, you'll find out soon ??

You've most likely been scammed. There is a thread over in the Guides section on how to convert the T-Mobile OP8 to the global firmware but it's still a work in progress. Right now it requires the bootloader to be unlocked and the use of the MSM tool to downgrade the stock firmware first. I don't believe there's a way to do that remotely just from the IMEI.
Please be careful sharing information about your device online, and check your sources ?

Uh oh. I hope that your IMEI number hasn't been compromised. IMEI numbers are in demand for blacklisted phones. how did you pay? Paypal?

So I've sent my imei number to someone from this site promising that they can install the OnePlus 8 international OXYGEN OS on my phone just from the imei number.. Just trying to figure out can this be done or have I been had... They claim it takes 30 mins but it's been over a day already and nothing...

Did you seriously, really, share your IMEI with someone you didn't know?
Better exchange your phone now cause I wouldn't even touch that thing after that.
Call TMobile and make up a story about it not turning on or something. Or kill it via root and say it won't boot up

I agree. You should send the phone back to tmo and request a new one. That way you don't have to worry about anything. That would be the best way and don't let anyone get that personal info from you again. I just rooted last week and coverted to global firmware this weekend. I've had the phone since may 2020. I read these threads over and over each day and didn't make a move until I was sure I had things down. Take your time and read, read, read. Happy modding!
Please message me the link to properly convert my T-Mobile OnePlus 8. I already have it sim unlocked though XDA over a month ago. Please include all the correct methods & do not put the things that brick the device, but more of what did successfully work. I've read tons of pages of the conversion & most of them have different things where some say don't do that or not necessary.
How to properly unlock bootloader & download correct MSM DOWNLOAD TOOL software.

Nobody is going to spoon feed you like that. Just go to the official thread and do it yourself. It's not that hard, but backup persist.img before you so anything

Where did you get your info to install the international stock? I've been all over xda and all they have on here is just installing the oxygen OS on the 7t and below.. Is the process the same? Can I use the drivers and msm tool for the OnePlus 7?

Got a replacement on the way BUT it'll be locked, I'm still trying to install the international oxygen OS on it..

Look for the ROM for fastboot install in questions and answers. You have to read a few different threads to make sure you use the right thing. Once you use the MSM took it gives you more confidence since you can just revert back to 10.5.7 TMO anytime your want. Happy modding!
I'm waiting on my bootloader unlock code in order to do this on my T-mobile Oneplus 8. I've rooted phones in the past, but honestly it's been a few years. I have read a bunch of posts, but the info is pretty vague.

If I root, will I lose anything? (Google Pay, bank apps, etc...)
Are there any lingering issues I should know about?

Sorry for sounding like a new newb, just can't seem to find all these answers easily. I think the last phone I rooted was an LG G4 when it came out lol.

You may lost the ability to access banking apps if you root
MSM Tool if awesome and gets you back to 10.5.7.IN55CB stock everything.
I had no problems updating international 10.5.10 to 10.5.11. I'm TMO rooted running international version. Happy modding!

This is the link to put all the info including the unlock code in order to get unlock token. Probably need to wait 2 weeks as I also just submitted 3 days ago .
