I am currently on different operator than tmobile but my galaxy s 4g was a tmobile for, it's rooted, anyway I have added a new APN, wheneve I select APN, I switches back to T-Mobile APN after few hours, is there any solution for this? I cannot delete tmobile-apn, no option to delete. I wish i could.
get apn manager from market. It will allow you to edit the default Tmobile apn entry.

Or are you looking for where the APN settings are? Settings -->Wireless/Networks --> Mobile Networks --> Access Point Names. Menu --> New APN. Create APN. Menu --> Save APN
Can anyone help. I just flashed to nexus mod.

I just installed the Aeon rom v1.4 and I love the 4 tab lockscreen, but I can't figure out how to change the message tab to use handcent instead of the default messaging app. I am running my phone with straight talk and not att so the stock messaging app does not put the messages in the correct order received and sent for some reason.

Does anyone know? It is this posted in the wrong section?

That may require a setting default mms app, rename his mms app to stock app or hack into the locks and make it call a different program than the default mms. Nun knows best.
For one person with a request though, idk..

I have set handscent as default and put it in my dock, and nothing. And I am not experianced enough to go into the files and change defaults yet. I would have no idea where to begin. I have explored it but I do not want to screw anything up. Already soft bricked my phone trying to flash this rom. And now I realize HOW easy it is to use cwm. I'm learning. Just need some guidance.

That was my initial thought as well - if the locks app is calling the stock filename, what about renaming the Handscent app to that filename? Seems it would call it, then.
How would I go about renaming handcent with es file?

Hey all, does anybody know the location of the apk for the Verizon Voicemail app? I was able to remove all the bloatware that I wanted, but I couldn't find where the voicemail app is. I tried searching for "voicemail" and "vvm" using root explorer, but it didn't find it.
/system/priv-app/VVM.apk

Thanks, but it isn't there. The icon still shows up in my app drawer.
Don't know what to say then. I've got it froze in titanium backup and that's the path it shows for it.
So I decided to load Viper and found the VVM.apk where you said it was and was able to remove it. Thanks, still not sure why the stock ROM wouldn't remove the icon though.
Check out my thread on getting Verizon visual voicemail to work!

I think it stays because its tied into the messages app... If you scroll right in the messages app there is a voicemail tab... Possibly whatever base viper is on doesn't have vvm tied into messages?

Right and you risk breaking bubble count notifications if you remove it too.

Is there any way to remove the AT&T carrier text from the top left?
I use xposed framework with the G3 tweaksbox module and you can remove the carrier text with that.

There's another way to do it without xposed. Simply download build.prop editor and change "ro.build.target_operator" from ATT to OPEN.

It gets rid of a lot of changes ATT has done to the software. It gets rid of the annoying AT&T text on the status bar and enables the option to change between LTE, 3g, 2g for mobile data. Also enables brightness and volume slider and much more.

Are you using Straight Talk? In my experience, that is what comes up as the carrier text when using ST. Either of the two methods mentioned here should remove that.

Thanks, I was able to remove HOME icon, yes I am using ST.
Just a heads up: I removed the AT&T logo via build prop editor as previously discussed today and lost the ability to access the dialer hidden menu. As soon as I went back and put AT&T as the carrier, saved the changes to the build prop and rebooted, the logo is back but now I can once again use the dialer hidden menu.
I removed it using G3 Tweaksbox

What is the dialer hidden menu? I am not too crazy about the two sliders being permanently displayed and occupying 30% of the notification pull-down.
The dialer hidden menu is accessed by dialing 3845#*850#
