[Q] Nexus s indian version or the international version - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am planning to buy nexus s but m comfused where should i buy it from?
If i buy it from the indian market then il get S-LCD with warranty
and if I buy from ebay.com Il get S AMOLED screen but with US warranty(which is useless for me)
so what should i do?
Nd both will cost me almost the same i.e. $360 aprox...or is there any other reliable site which can offer me a better price....

It depends on you totally...if u give s amoled more weightage than warranty then go for it...
On a personal note - i'd suggest u buy from India and get the warranty....better be on the safe side.....

Check out the threads comparing the two displays before you make your decision. I have the S-LCD model and I don't mind the screen.

Sorry for thread hijack, but I'm in the same boat as the OP.
I want to know if the Samsung Google Nexus S i9020 (Sprint) will work with Indian sim cards (or any other sim card for that matter). I have read that all nexus are carrier unlocked but I want to be sure.

I don't think the Sprint version has a sim card slot that's why its a lot cheaper.

I bought a used Samsung Captivate in April from ebay. It was as described and works fine till date.
I bought another used Captivate off craigslist in May for $170 and that too works fine.
I generally buy smartphones from US because they are ridiculously priced in India. You can't get a Nexus S for anywhere below $400 in India.

Buy nexus 5 from us and use it in Europe?

Hi
I'm thinking of buying the nexus 5, tho it has not arrived to my country yet and my resellers will put on a 100-200$ extra as they did with the nexus 4, so if I order one from Google play store (the unlocked one)(will order it through a post forwarding company) will it work in EU?
I have my doubts because I read a review that said " Network compatibility
Google has made two versions of the handset, one specifically for North America/Asia, and another for other regions like Europe."
Thanks in advance
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I am also interested in this. Hope there is just one version that is compatible worldwide.
Thank you in anticipation to whoever can clarify this.
You can actually use the US model in Europe without problem, but you can't use LTE because the LTE bands supported in this US(& Canada) model are mostly not compatible in Europe & Asia.
The specs in the N5 page has clearly stated the different lte bands support.
North America:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
CDMA: Band Class: 0/1/10
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8/19
LTE: Bands: 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41
Rest of World:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8
LTE: Bands: 1/3/5/7/8/20
You can check the supported bands in your country here:

Buy from Play Store in Malta
Malta is not yet a supported country for the Play Store. Can anyone suggest a way to get the new Nexus 5?
Through the US play store it is way cheaper.
I've used the N4 US model in EU without an issue, so the N5 should be no different.

No, Carriers in UAE are utilizing band 3 & 7, the model sold outside of US & Canada supports both of these bands. Double check the specs in the N5 page.

Exactly the dilemma I'm having right now.
3G and 3,5G is quite fast in Europe. I'm getting 4-6 megs on 3,5G which is enough for me.
Heavy data usage costs more so I use WiFi for it anyway. In my case I'd buy one from US.
Considering LTE as a still early dev. technology in my part of the world I'm even more convinced.
I just bought a US version for use in Europe

does anyone know whether buying the n5 from a country you don't reside in will affect warranty? I'm assuming warranty is only covered by the country that the device is issued for...
If LG policy is still the same then you will have to send it to the country where you bought it. The question is: will they ship it back directly to your country...

[Q] Compatability with UK networks

Hi guys,
Do you know if this phone will be compatible with Three UK in 4G? I read that three offers the 4G network @ 800MHz and 1800MHz. I had a look at the phone's spec sheet and it says that they support 1800MHz @ 4G. Does that mean that I should be able to run the three network @ 4G speeds with this phone?
Thanks!

L10 uses 1800 ,2100 and 2600 ..
I use 1800 on 3!
And it isn't TL09 but L09
What is that for a question?? Because my provider has only 800Mhz and in some Big Citys 2600. Most of the german provider, D1,Vodafone and O² use the Band 20
And it is TL10 not L10....

I'm almost decided in to buy the U11 but...
...I had the M7 and I have the M8 and I'm not very happy about how HTC handles the updates, it is too slow.

How about the HTC M10? I think it only have android 7.0. If it is true, almost nothing have changed since HTC M8's time

Thanks mate. No official date in the Kingdom yet. But it's exciting.
Singapore has the 128GB / 6GB one for sale which is the international version.
The phones here are all unlocked according to law and can be used overseas.
If it is any help, the RRP for the phone is 722USD / 560GBP. Solar red will be unveiled in the same config first week July.
Cheers!
6G ram/128GB rom is factory unlocked, dual sim variant which will deliver to customer on 15th June 2017 in Vietnam, the stock price is ~$744.
Personally I think it shall be a little difference in hardware at least eMMC, blah blah, just waits for official hand-on

Band 30 LTE (AT&T) and Band 71 LTE (T-Mobile) missing.

Oneplus 7 Pro's LTE bands are "B1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,13,17,18,19,20,25,26,28,29,32,66".
Is it just a small problem?
edit :
AT&T : 2/4/5/12/17/29/66
T-Mobile : 2/4/5/12/46/48/66/71
Verizon Wireless : 2/4/5/13/46/48/66
Band 71 is present, but just contradicts with their other info where band 71 isn't present.
FDD LTE: B1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,13,17,18,19,20,25,26,28,29,32,66
TDD-LTE: B34,38,39,40,41
TDS: B34,39
UMTS: B1,2,4,5,8,9,19
CDMA: BC0,BC1
GSM: B2,3,5,8
I checked https://www.cellmapper.net/ to check on the bands, but seems like it shouldnt be that big of an impact for me since it's not that many in my area. Or am I wrong ? I think it'll impact rural areas more with less towers.

T-Mobile will sell the OnePlus 7 Pro with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage for $0 down and $29.17 per month for 24 months on an Equipment Installment Plan. T-Mobile will also offer the OnePlus 7 Pro through JUMP! On Demand, with JOD pricing set at $0 down and $31 per month for an 18-month lease. T-Mo will sell the OnePlus 7 Pro in Nebula Blue and Mirror Grey.
As you’d expect from a brand new flagship phone on T-Mobile, the OnePlus 7 Pro supports all of T-Mo’s LTE network features. That includes 600MHz (LTE band 71) as well as 4×4 MIMO, 256 QAM, License Assisted Access (LAA), and carrier aggregation.

Just talked to OP Rep, they said they dont have information on it. I doubt they know.
But imma drop by the pop up store today maybe. I'll ask, but I doubt they know too.
I wish someone would confirm it. I really don't want to buy a phone from tmobile.
pop up didn't have unlocked. was just a regular t mobile store. everyone didnt know much info about the phone. sorry.

I don't want the T-Mo version, the unlocked one on their site has all of the bands including 66, and 71.
My main question I need answered before buying this phone is whether RCS will work on the unlocked one. Otherwise I'll wait and pay more for the Note 10
My Telco uses band 3 and 40. I purchased my op 7p from the US site, as per the site, the American op store version has band 3 but not 40. Do u guys know if this can be changed via software or is it the hardware?
The version in India has both band 3 and 40.

I would like to know this too - B40 support for OP7Pro North America model.
I am interested in B40 which seems very important for India.
