That is why I'm asking.
So, in Europe, at least officially, the 64GB version will be the only one available. Right?
I'm almost decided in to buy the U11 but...
...I had the M7 and I have the M8 and I'm not very happy about how HTC handles the updates, it is too slow.
If you look in to One Plus forums, the 3T already have android 7.1.1.
How about the HTC M10? I think it only have android 7.0. If it is true, almost nothing have changed since HTC M8's time
Do you think guys the 128GB/6GB of ram will be push in global? Or only specific countries? Also will be there a problem about with the roms after that? I mean the roms for 4gb will work also the one with 6gb of ram right ?

And in the Middle East as well, which is technically Asia, but usually separate for marketing purposes )
Coming from Germany, does anyone know where I can order the 6GB/128GB version? Any shops that ship oversees?
I pre ordered mine on jarir.com. The 128gb/6gb ram will be released I think on the first or second week of June.
Hope this helps.
Hi all,
Will the 6/128 version likely have any issues working in the UK?
Thanks,

I'll be buying from Jarir too but will wait until it to release. I think the free earbuds that comes as a promotional offer is not worth it. Price will definitely go down after release.

I think the freebie if you pre-order is worth it. It costs 699 from JBL. I owned JBL products - JBL go speakers and JBL headphone. Both were excellent so I guess the earphones will also be good.
I will give you an update as soon as I tried the free earphones.

Does anyone know if the 128GB version will have the same radio frequencies as the North America models? (64GB)
I want the extra storage space but the radio frequencies for the new LTE 66 is more important.

Thanks mate. No official date in the Kingdom yet. But it's exciting.
Singapore has the 128GB / 6GB one for sale which is the international version.
The phones here are all unlocked according to law and can be used overseas.
If it is any help, the RRP for the phone is 722USD / 560GBP. Solar red will be unveiled in the same config first week July.
Cheers!
6G ram/128GB rom is factory unlocked, dual sim variant which will deliver to customer on 15th June 2017 in Vietnam, the stock price is ~$744.
Personally I think it shall be a little difference in hardware at least eMMC, blah blah, just waits for official hand-on

Hi
I'm thinking of buying the nexus 5, tho it has not arrived to my country yet and my resellers will put on a 100-200$ extra as they did with the nexus 4, so if I order one from Google play store (the unlocked one)(will order it through a post forwarding company) will it work in EU?
I have my doubts because I read a review that said " Network compatibility
Google has made two versions of the handset, one specifically for North America/Asia, and another for other regions like Europe."
Thanks in advance
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I am also interested in this. Hope there is just one version that is compatible worldwide.
Thank you in anticipation to whoever can clarify this.
You can actually use the US model in Europe without problem, but you can't use LTE because the LTE bands supported in this US(& Canada) model are mostly not compatible in Europe & Asia.
The specs in the N5 page has clearly stated the different lte bands support.
North America:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
CDMA: Band Class: 0/1/10
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8/19
LTE: Bands: 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41
Rest of World:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8
LTE: Bands: 1/3/5/7/8/20
You can check the supported bands in your country here:

It's available in these play stores starting today, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, and Korea. Only in different prices. UK is selling as high as £339 for 32GB.
Buy from Play Store in Malta
Malta is not yet a supported country for the Play Store. Can anyone suggest a way to get the new Nexus 5?
Through the US play store it is way cheaper.
I've used the N4 US model in EU without an issue, so the N5 should be no different.

Borderlinx will calculate the import taxes in your country. when paying Borderlinx for the shipping, you will also be paying the taxes to them. tey will pay the taxes to your customs. Therefore DHL will directly deliver to you without delay at the customs.

Exactly the dilemma I'm having right now.
3G and 3,5G is quite fast in Europe. I'm getting 4-6 megs on 3,5G which is enough for me.
Heavy data usage costs more so I use WiFi for it anyway. In my case I'd buy one from US.
Considering LTE as a still early dev. technology in my part of the world I'm even more convinced.
I just bought a US version for use in Europe

does anyone know whether buying the n5 from a country you don't reside in will affect warranty? I'm assuming warranty is only covered by the country that the device is issued for...
If LG policy is still the same then you will have to send it to the country where you bought it. The question is: will they ship it back directly to your country...

I just ordered my black Mi4 today and will hopefully switch from my z1c in a few days. Are there other users within europe to share knowledge with? Since 3g and 4g networks differ from the network bands used in the USA, it might be a good idea to get connected.
Of course, i'm still interested in sharing knowhow with everyone else of you too when it comes to non-network-related issues.

great! As France and Germany use the same frequency bands, everything should be fine then. I read a few complains about bad/no reception, but it seems like this wouldn't be a general problem after all.
No problem of reception at all. I get even better signal than my old S4 Mini, and better sound quality too.

FDD LTE Band 20
The international version of the Mi4 is available today.
But there is no official support for FDD LTE 800 MHz (Band 20)
Maybe it comes out next year or we can get with a firmware update ?
FDD-LTE model is not available yet, you have to wait.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4/general/unlocking-basebands-mi4-t2879685
Nobody has reported success in unlocking bands on different model, likely hardware issue/impossible.

I do not think that this will happen with the MI4, just more in a new model like "MI5". In Germany you can use this Band 20 with t-mobile in some areas. You can not fix this problem with an simple software update, its more linked to the hardware conditions. But you can put me right
so i got my Mi4 yesterday. 2G/3G seem to work perfectly fine.
The only thing i'm still not quite sure about is localization. I currently use .12.12 dev-Edition. Seems like giving root-Access right out of MIUI is not available in stable editions. But sadly, the localized versions (in my case: german ) seem to lack behind. Not a big deal as i'm perfectly fine using english terms in my OS, but i wonder if there is any way to tell 3rd party apps (facebook etc.) that they should use foreign languages. Any ideas?
[edit] woohoo! This one did the trick: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.evanhe.locale
All 3rd party apps, that have any localization built in, now show up in german language

Thanks! I had a play on the 16gb version in carphone warehouse yesterday I really like it.
Hi all, I ordered a 32 GB Pearl White (presumably FRD-L04) on Amazon's Black Friday sale, I live in the UK, had it shipped to a friend in the US. According to hihonor, the phone should support all the US and UK bands. According to FrequencyCheck, only the 64GB (FRD-L14) US model supports the European bands 3 and 20. Which is correct? If the phone I ordered won't support 3 and 20, I may as well return it now.
Thanks!
I also bought Honor 8. Only difference is that US version is single sim and much more LTE bands. According to official site it should support that bands.

That's why I'm asking the 2 people who commented in this thread, they live in the UK and can tell me for sure.
Here you go here is a list for radio bands compatibility list for Honor FDR04 /14 /01 AND 14 for use in UK with most of the providers..
www.frequencycheck.com/compatibility/K0BOsOx/huawei-honor-8-dual-sim-lte-a-frd-l04/united-kingdom
You can select any country by the way.. If I were you op for Virgin mobile or Plusnet both run off EE but have better signal and deals to the overs..
I bought the FRD-L09 model while I was overseas and I live in the USA, the salesperson assured me it would work on 4G here but it definitely doesn't... If you still have the FRD-L04 model would you be willing to trade? Mine is the blue 32G model and it is basically new, I bought it about a month ago. I love the phone but only having 3G is killing me...

Thanks for this, but as someone stated above, I think Frequency Check is wrong here. According to Huawei Customer Care team on Amazon, the supports bands 3, 7, and 20 which are used for LTE in the UK, while Frequency Check doesn't have those.
I have posted a picture of both Huawei's listed network frequencies compared to Frequency Check's.
I never even knew that Honor released a single SIM variant of the Honor 8. I thought all Honor 8's were dual SIMs.
I can confirm Frequency check is wrong. I'm not back in the UK yet but I'm getting LTE on SoftBank in Japan. A warning - this model follows the American practice of calling 3G "4G". Only "4G LTE" actually means 4G.

Awesome. Thanks, this is very relieving for me! Loving the phone so far... Had to put Nova Launcher on it but that's OK. I'm quite confident it will work in the UK now.

Did you have any luck? I will be traveling with this and am trying to figure out the discrepancy between Honors specs and Frequency Check (and also the FCC testing report).

I think it's because not every country use every bands so Honor indicates only bands used for specific country.
I make an example: Band 20 could be used in USA but not in UK so indicates on UK version it have Band 20 is useless for UK's people
Hi All,
After some research, I found out that the Note 20 Ultra 5G SM-N9860 HK (TGY) or CN (CHC) probably the best variant there is.
It's a Snapdragon 865+ 12GB RAM 256/512GB storage.
Carrier and Bootloader unlocked.
4G&5G supports most of the bands worldwide.
The CN (CHC) have build in Call recording (to be confirmed but no Samsung Pass AFAIK).
The only thing is to find a trusted online store to purchase it from (sending worldwide).
Any suggestions?

If you live in Europe, try wondamobile.com - they are reliable and Ive read many good things about them on the web, reddit, etc. They also take care of import tax and mostly sell HK version.
I am also leaning towards HK to be on safe side and waiting for Wonda to have them in stock.

Sadly Wondamobile doesn't ship to most of the world.

Hmm on their website they state that they ship to most of the world for £20: https://www.wondamobile.com/faq
Q: Where do you ship to?
A: Shipping is free to the United Kingdom and USA, and is only £20 more to most worldwide countries. Shipping to all countries is fully tracked.
What country you live in?

I had a word with their customer service and they said they are waiting for Samsung HK to get the shipping dates and that they will most likely start taking orders from mid of August. So we just need to check every day
Cancelled my UK Exynos order yesterday, waiting for Wonda to order from there...
Man, why can't Samsung make 1 phone version as any other normal company? So frustrating!

Yes i made some cross reference with S20 announcement and when they start shipping it and preorders are usually 1-2 weeks before they ship it. Ah, thanks a lot, I was trying to do the same but couldn't find the date when Wonda started to sell the phone.
So its seems legit they will start to take preorders this or next week. Can't wait!

No info yet for Note 20, but it will be available once Wonda will have the phone for sale.
However, it should be pretty similar to S20 Ultra that has the following specs:
TECHNOLOGY GSM / CDMA / HSPA / EVDO / LTE / 5G
2G BANDS GSM: GSM850,GSM900,DCS1800,PCS1900
3G BANDS WCDMA: B1(2100),B2(1900), B5(850),B8(900)
4G BANDS 4G FDD-LTE: B1(2100),B2(1900),B3(1800),B4(AWS),B5(850),B7(2600),B8(900),B12(700),B13(700), B18(800),B19(800),B20(800),B25(1900),B26(850),B28(700) 4G TDD-LTE: B34(2010),B38(2600),B39(1900),B40(2300),B41(2500)
5G BANDS 5G Sub-6 FDD: N1(2100) / 5G Sub-6 TDD: N78(3500),N79(4500)
So you should check with your mobile provider to see what bands they use and compare against these ones.
Thanks
Will this version has all necessary bands for 5G and 4G in USA?

You will need to contact your mobile operator and ask them to provide their frequencies and compare them against the ones in the phone to make sure it will work.
I live in the UK so dont know much about US frequencies.

As far as I am aware only Hong Kong versions have unlocked bootloader for Snapdragon. The US one doesn't.
Exynos, on the other hand, has fully unlocked bootloader so can be rooted.
On the other hand, do you really need rooting the phone? As far as I am aware there is currently no option to root without destroying Knox, but I might be wrong.
Here are the GSM specs from Wonda for Hong Kong version:
2G BANDS GSM: GSM850,GSM900,DCS1800,PCS1900
3G BANDS WCDMA: B1(2100),B2(1900), B5(850),B8(900)
4G BANDS 4G FDD-LTE: B1(2100),B2(1900),B3(1800),B4(AWS),B5(850),B7(2600),B8(900),B12(700),B13(700), B18(800),B19(800),B20(800),B25(1900),B26(850),B28(700) 4G TDD-LTE: B34(2010),B38(2600),B39(1900),B40(2300),B41(2500)
5G BANDS 5G Sub-6 FDD: N1(2100) / 5G Sub-6 TDD: N78(3500),N79(4500)
So it seems that your one is not in the list (n66) so it might not work....

Yes, only Samsung Pay and, possibly, VoLTE won't work, everything else should work.

Well, well, well...You convinced me to switch from the Korean Version I was looking at to the HK/CN version. Gain the support for dual sim(even though I don't use it). Almost the same price of the Korean version I was buying, expect with WonderMobile import fees are included, which is a plus. Both HK and Korean seem to support the same bands that I use here. It'll take a little longer to ship to me out in Japan, yet I am excited as well.
What would be the reason VoLte wouldn't work? Requires a specific LTE band in the country?
