From overclocker to overclockers... LordMod kernel V5.5 CFS and V4.5.2 BFS
This is my first ever ROM and custom kernel for any device..
I tested it for a long time and I think that it's ready for the community..
I've only wanted to implement smartass because everybody (almost) wants it, but the project took me much further than I imagined.. I've lost 7 days on this so don't be harsh on commenting my work. I'm a BEGINNER in kernel building and ROM modding.
ROM is build from the latest commits of CM7
Kernel has been taken from “teamdesire” and modified a little to suit everybody!!
For those who care – Quadrant score is about 3400 on 1800MHz PERFOMANCE mod
I use BFQhs (ATM) PUV edition @ 122/1380MHz 24/7
Decided to update only the kernel... because ROM is basicaly CM7 nightly...
I'll include kernel update.zip with and without SD Card Read speed increase patch!

BEFORE flashing set your MIN freq to 230 or disable Set On Boot in Cyanogen Perfomance Menu!!!
V5.0 replaces some system libs for the video to work, so please do a BACKUP before flash if you want to return to other kernel!! - Use this if you want to restore to default libs, and than without restart flash kernel older than 4.5.2 - zip, older than 4.6 - zip

No need for screen shots, because everybody knows how CM7 looks like.
Governors for NOOBS:
interactive - Instead of sampling the cpu at a specified rate, the governor will scale the cpu frequency up when coming out of idle. When the cpu comes out of idle, a timer is configured to fire within 1-2 ticks. If the cpu is 100% busy from exiting idle to when the timer fires then we assume the cpu is underpowered and ramp to MAX speed.
smartass - Is an improved version of interactive governor
ondemand – Available in most kernels, and the default governor in most kernels. When the CPU load reaches a certain point (see “up threshold” in Advanced Settings), ondemand will rapidly scale the CPU up to meet demand, then gradually scale the CPU down when it isn't needed.
conservative – Available in some kernels. It is similar to the ondemand governor, but will scale the CPU up more gradually to better fit demand. Conservative provides a less responsive experience than ondemand, but can save battery.
performance – Available in most kernels. It will keep the CPU running at the “max” set value at all times. This is a bit more efficient than simply setting “max” and “min” to the same value and using ondemand because the system will not waste resources scanning for CPU load.
powersave – Available in some kernels. It will keep the CPU running at the “min” set value at all times.
userspace – A method for controlling the CPU speed that isn't currently used by SetCPU. For best results, do not use the userspace governor.

Kernel is compiled from cyanogenmod so it can't be used in RCMIX or any other ROM than Cyanogenmod
I'll include only kernel in seperate update zip if anyone with CM7 wants to try only the kernel... later tonight or tomorrow

Well I saw people keeping at 1.8, but not perfomance mod... only for max setting, not all the time..
But at that freq the increase of voltage is 40% more than on 1000mhz, so expect less battery life offcourse

Guess I'll ask this right off. I'm using MIUI now and have been trying to get a bluetooth keyboard to hook up to it. Gotten no help in the Q&A thread or development thread. So to avoid poking at more people, do you happen to know if this supports bluetooth devices beyond just a headset? If not, do you plan to add that support in the future?
Just curious so I know if its a feature to test along with the rest of the ROM.

Not sure if this supports Bluetooth keyboards or not. I know it works with my Parrot Mini Smart car dock.

From the original post, it looks like everything from InspireMod is included in this rom.

I'm wondering something.. Right now I'm running CM Nightly 164, with most of your rom's features flashed in seperately. The only thing I'm missing is the undervolting scripts.
Seeing that I just got everything set up nicely, would it be safe to flash your rom on top of everything to get the final missing pieces? Thinking about it, should work just need to wipe the cache/dalvik to be safe, I just want a second opinion.

Great ROM; runs smooth like butter. Getting the same battery life as I was on Virtuous Unity; about one day with Ultra undervolt. No bugs that are apparent thus far.

What about the Netflix with Rotation/Color Mods?
1. Open ModTools App and under Apps Tab Update Netflix Installers then pick the color you want and that's it! (Allow Root Access)
2. BE PATIENT! It will seem the app has crashed or frozen but its normal, let it do it's thing and it will let you know when its done. *Reboot may be required*
What about Stock Theme?
1. Download the Stock Themed Framework below.
2. Reboot to recovery.
3. Flash
4. Reboot
5. Shut up already!

I downloaded v1.7.0b w/ LordModUE 8.3 b3 CFS
Corresponding MD5: 53693d5b080566f977bcb6fa02ed6d0d
I've downloaded it twice now with the same result.
Is there something I'm doing on my end?
The talonace version is fine, codes match

found a bug while using talonace version: with lockscreen style set as ring, if you choose "unlock with middle ring" and then try to unlock with that ring the phone reboots

i just saw the changelog for the CM nightlies, i see this lockscreen issue is a known CM problem which will hopefully be fixed in the next build

Well there are a few differences. BBMod has been around a little bit longer than Absolution. They share a lot of the same features but BBMod typically has a more aggressive release schedule. Absolution typically releases on stable or a particularly stable nightly whereas BBMod releases on bleeding edge nightlies and more often. Major feature releases Roy and I try to release together. We collaborate on both roms. They are very similar and very different. A lot of the same under the hood tweaks. I manage AbsolutionTools completely as well as ModTools in BBMod. There are slight differences with those tools corresponding with each rom. BBMod doesn't use the same themes or transition effects and offers a stock theme experience as well. BBMod may tend to have more bugs because it does use latest nightlies whereas again Absolution tends to stick to more "stable" releases. They are very similar and very different. Give them both a try and enjoy! We are all a bunch of great guys and gal.

Upsides and downsides depend on the user's own experience I suppose. I use it as my daily and also test Absolution releases. Read my last post as to the differences. Thanks!

thats because of gpu override. in those kernels where gpu override is present meaning our adreno 509 gpu is faked and shownas 512.
this causes face unlock to slow down. pure coffee and ice cold has reverted this and their gpu id is shown 509 which makes face unlock faster.
but if you have gpu id 509 you cant play pubg in hd or high fps mode so many people still prefer to have gpu id as 512 instead of 509 to get pubg hd and sacrifice faster face unlocking for that

this causes face unlock to slow down. pure coffee and ice cold has reverted this and their gpu id is shown 509 which makes face unlock faster.
but if you have gpu id 509 you cant play pubg in hd or high fps mode so many people still prefer to have gpu id as 512 instead of 509 to get pubg hd and sacrifice faster face unlocking for that

its not for pubg only but for getting high fps mode on many games.
but mainly people want it for pubg hd

I have to see if this is possible , If yes why not! The new beta 1.3 kernel is 1.3mb smaller! so there is enough and more space for new features.
