[Q] Vodafone UK provider settings APK - HTC Sensation

Hi All,
I've been searching the internet (and forums) the last few days after flashing to the Revolution HD ROM (and accompanying radio), and have yet to find settings that actually do anything other than appear to connect (i.e. it shows a data connection is connected, but nothing can talk to the outside world).
Does anyone have an APK or just full details of the UK Vodafone Contract Internet settings?
I've tried the internet / web / web details from the Vodafone website, but it just sits there and doesn't allow anything to connect. The WAP details in the ROM connect to GPRS, but its so slow it times out almost constantly.

The ones on the Vodafone website work fine. Perhaps try a different ROM

The built in ones on Revolution HD worked fine for me (and I mean the HTC setup wizard) using a Vodafone contract.
Perhaps the issues are to do with your connection itself? Ocassionally I get a data connection where I am, seeing data being sent and recieved but nothing can connect.

As luck would have it, pretty much as I posted this, it sprang into life. Guessing its just another tally to the list of problems with vodafone!
Thanks to you both.

Data connection messed up? Proxy issue? Help!

OK, i've done literally about 40 flashes today and I seek help from the wonderful guru's of XDA. Yesterday out of no where my data connection would not connect. It showd it connected by opera, youtube, weather, etc would not connect to any website. I did a hard reset and it went away. Now my connection holds for about 5 minutes before i get an "Error - No Network" on opera or a "Connection Failed!" on youtube. The problem persists for about 2-3 minutes and it kicks back up again. Sometimes it only does this on youtube which led me to believe it was a proxy issue, but i assure you its disabled and i ran da_g "remove hidden proxy tool". I've flashed 6 different radio roms and the proble persists. I also flashed romeOS v1.70.3, da_g 2.06, 2.07, and proven 1.14a all had the same issue. Any ideas? I called ATT asking if they were doing something in my area (Ithaca, New York) and they said no.
I have a HTC FUZE with Cingular, and I'm using the $15 cheapo internet.

Can you connect via activesync and/or wifi?
I can connect through wifi, not sure what you mean through active sync. If I try to tether then my laptop cannot connect either.
I had the same issue this morning, but turned out it was a major data outage on ATT's part. http://blog.dataoutages.com/2009/02/02/texas-area-outage-020209/
My data connection started working around 3:30 PM. hope it was the same for you.
I like in Los Angeles
the exact same thing happened to me last night. opera wouldn't work but youtube and skyfire did.
Today I can't get anything to work! I called and they want me to do a hard reset, but I'd rather wait it out.
I've heard that AT&T will block your internet if they find out you're using a smartphone with the cheaper internet plan, I have a feeling this might be the problem. GL!
This thread should have been posted in raphael software or in the Q&A thread in the raphael forum. Unless you want all of the chefs to stop cooking please keep this forum clean for development.
maybe it was att cause oddly enough everything is working as of 2 hrs ago, woohoo
P.S. sorry for the post didnt quite know where it belonged myself
This thread should be moved to another forum, since its here I'll answer it, ATT had major network issues over the last 48 hours (across the country) some areas had rolling black outs other were just out (EDGE/3G) your phone could see it but not connect to it. The issue is now fixed (ie chances were it was not an issue with your phone/settings)
It appears the issue is hitting in VA right now. I've had the issue since around 2:00pm EST today.
It's 8pm here, and I still have problems here in LA
I'm still down, anyone else?

Htc fuze issues - network

Hello guys, I have a HTC fuze unlocked, and I am using it on T-mobile network, for the past 4 days the internet is fluctuating however it used to work perfect, at times you see the arrows at the top moving/trying to connect to edge. when it finally connect, I can`t browse, if I do browse, it disconnect after a period of time.
I called T-mobile and they re-send the internet settings, they refreshed me on their network etc. and it`s the same issue, I am wondering if it`s due to me upgrading to different ROMS this week
what you think ? I am in the NJ area. Thanks
oH my apn is set to: epc.tmobile.com
Hmm, have you tried installing the matching RILPHONE.DLL with the radio rom you're currently using? Sometimes cooked ROMs will have a diff version of the DLL. Mismatches aren't usually a problem, but some combinations are known to work very poorly together.

[Q] Internet problem on Android 2.2 on HTC HD2 T-Mobile

hey guys,
so i just installed FroyoStone SEnse Version 3.2 from gamesquare.co.uk
and everything works so well except for the Internet.
I have Wi-Fi at home, but when I went to school today, i couldn't go on my Internet help me please? how do i get the Internet working? I have the data plan too :/
THank you !!
Hi kincawine3
I have the same problem. I live in the Netherlands with Tmobile as my carrier, full data plan etcetera.
I installed android 2.2 my wifi works, my internet doesnt. It says 'connected', it even shows the right icons in the taskbar, but no internet.
I tried erasing my apn settings and resetting them and I tried factory settings but to no avail. I ringed Tmobile about it and (as was to be expected) they couldnt help since they suggested the above.
Help would be immensely appreciated.

First of all, make sure you're not set to a static IP (which i assume you're not).
You might also want to check a different kernel. I'm not familiar with the kernel used in your build so i couldn't tell you what to expect - but there are 2 kernels running for the HD2 (hastarin's and mdj's). you can try to use them and see if it helps. the older builds had problems with ppp which are now (more or less) fixed.
read the instructions on how to replace the kernel and let me know if you run into any problems.
Thanks Nir
Hi,
While i do not share the problem of no internet access, the connection drops off regularly. Why, but more practival how do I fix it?
I can often see the signal switching from 2G to 3G to HSDPA, perhaps this has someting to do with the connection going dead. Is there a way to keep the signal fixed on 3G? Like there is an option to only maintain 2G connections.
When i go to Settings and disable + enable internet access it works fine. Sometimes the connection goes dead every five minutes, sometimes rarely.
Facts: HTC HD2 WinMobile 6.5, Android 2.3 via SD card method.
Unlimited data plan.
regards from Netherlands

[Q] A couple of issues regarding 3G

Hi there.
Just got a new HTC Titan on WP7.5, and it has come to my attention that annoyingly, whenever I try to download anything from the Marketplace through 3G, it sticks on the "Downloading..." screen. However, when I attempt to do this via WiFi, it downloads without trouble. I've had a look at a couple of threads with this same problem and there doesn't seem to be a true fix available for Windows Phone users. I've tried hard resetting the handset to no avail, and it's worth noting that the content I'm attempting to download is under 20mb.
Secondly, I seem to be having a problem connecting to Facebook/WLM Chat; on 3G, it connects successfully, displays online contacts and receives messages. Only problem being that, given about 30 seconds, it will randomly disconnect me. This leads me to have to resync both my Facebook and Live account for the chat to work again... for another 30 seconds.
Again, this works flawlessly when done through Wi-Fi - so you're most likely thinking that it's down to the network, right? Well, the browser works just fine on 3G at all times, so I'm unsure whether to blame the ISP for this one.
Any help would strongly be appreciated.

Can no-one actually offer any type of solution here?

[Q] Radio trouble/Can't get signal after roaming

I have a rooted HTC Sensation running SelfKang's alpha10 CM7. I'm a T-Mobile customer based out of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. I've had no problems of note with CM7 at all on Sensation. But...
I recently travelled to Florida and had no problem using phone and mobile data (outside of generally spotty network coverage). However, I went on a boat tour that took us several miles off the coast and (presumably) out of normal network range. I was able to access roaming when out there, but when we returned to land, I couldn't connect back to the T-Mobile network. I've tried toggling airplane mode and rebooting, I wiped and reflashed CM7 and I also tried flashing a different ROM (EnergyROM), all to no effect.
I've looked around the forums here and elsewhere and seen a few mentions of similar issues, but none of the proposed fixes I've applied have worked. I haven't changed the APN settings from what they currently show, but I did confirm with another working user that my APN login info is correct. I tried my sim card in my girlfriend's phone (an HTC Espresso running CM7) and it works fine and conversely, her sim won't work in my phone. When I "Search Networks", about half the time I get the "error searching for..." message and the other half it sees T-Mobile and AT&T, but I get "Unable to login to..."
The problem seems to be isolated to my phone (after the sim card test) but I can't figure out if it's hardware or a software/ROM issue. Everything else on the phone works fine (Wifi, programs, etc.) I've stopped short of reflashing a newer or older radio; I'm currently on 10.56.9035.00P_10.14.9035.01_M.
Any tips or fixes anyone can suggest would be much appreciated.
Thanks
reset the apn to default regardless of what you can see then do a battery pull from switched on reboot do a manual network selection should sort it for you
hmm...did those steps. I get the same problem.
Manual search for networks either gets "error searching for networks" or T-Mob and AT&T show up but selecting T-Mob get me "unable to connect at this time". This is all while showing no bars.
Did you try a factory reset?
