I have CM7 on my Tab. As such, I am on Gingerbread...
Any one can "hack" this so that it's made compatible with it?
Thanks in advance!
isnt it available on Market?
not compatible because :
Tablet requirements
Operating system: Androidâ„¢ 3.1 or higher
Display size: 8.9-inch or larger
Display resolution: 1280 x 800 minimum
Camera: Recommended
source : http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-touch/tech-specs.html
It is available in the market but for Honeycomb only...
I know it's not supposed to be compatible (I read the requirements) but my question was wether it would be possible to adapt it...
and i thought you meant Photoshop Express! sorry my bad!

Hi!
The HTC's Service Manual 1.1 Product Features part says: "the LCD is 262K, but limited via OS to 65K" . So is there a possibility that someone will "make" the Android shine in all it's beauty in full 262K ??
Is it a difficult modification/hack?
I don't think it's possible, given the OS is expecting to interact with the framebuffer in 16-bit. Not impossible, but just prohibitively difficult.

Seems to me its limited because Android is also designed to run on lower-end phones (dont wanna have to recompress to 65k for a different device)
Also willing to bet that the driver is only written to support 65k, (see above)
If someone wants to prove me wrong and hack it to work otherwise, I'd be happy to help
OK so i'm a new guy who really doesn't know anything about android devices and the firmware. I was wondering if you could put HTC ROMS on a clone phone? I would expect that it doesn't matter as long as the RAM and the processor are fast enough.

Whether it is possible to load Android through haret on it?
I have in console after haret run:
HaRET boot
Shutting down hardware
Turning off MMV....
In preloader
PSR=600000df
wait ~20min -> no changes..
P.S. Is any custom ROMs for htc 5588 pure (clone)
Thanks..
ROMs are created to work on specific devices. I doubt if anybody is developing for clone models!

Hello,
I bought The TechPad 7" Tablet with android 1.6 from chinavasion.
Is it possible to upgrade to android 2.1?
If yes would it be slow?
As it is now video performance is not good!(tried almost every player)
Specs: arm11 800mhz cpu, 256MB ram, 1GB rom, (i discovered it is actually 2GB),
wi-fi ,7" 800x480 lcd screen etc.
Thank You.
me too
I believe in very others locking for this, me too. Please if anybody to find it answers us. Thanks
I had some initial success with putting Android 2.1 from JetPlatform-experimental-binary-100624-2.6.29.tar.gz or JetPlatform-0.3pre1-binary.tgz while retaining the original linux kernel 2.29 on the inbuilt 1GB card. To do that I had to open the device.
Some things were not working 100% correctly with the new android so I put back the original card. 2.1 was faster than the 1.6, but home screen was blinking from time to time.
Also my chinavasion model did not had volume buttons, so I added them from an old Lexmark printer, pictures here: slatedroid . com/index.php?topic=7344.0 (scroll to page 15).
PS>Did you notice some software upgrades on this page: download . chinavasion . com ?,
look for device code PC07, some users said the wifi update is helpful.
as for the video, use mp4 to allow for the inbuilt hardware acceleration. Follow the howto by tenzen2, can be found here: dealextreme . com/forums/Default.dx/sku.41984~threadid.730189
Yeah I had same problem with android 1.6, got from chinavasion. Its dead slow. I wonder its not possible to upgrade and if it is, i wonder if its clarity and performance will be good?. I have a new android 2.1 directly got from ChinaBuye. It has faster and clarity is excellent. So upgrading will not be effective. I find rate is also quite low here, and buffering is faster. Check with chinabuye if you decide to get new 2.1 android.
Hi to everyone: I'm a newbie on this forum and in general with android platform.
I've recently installed a few benchmarking apps on a Trekstor xiron 10.1 tablet ( target data : 4cores 1.6 Ghz, 2gb ram 1200x800 IPS))
I obtained contradictory device info:
antutu: cpu =rk3188; display 1200x800
quadrant: cpu=armv7 4cores rk30board; display=1280x752
cpu-z: cpu rk3066 rev. r3p0 4 cores; displa=1280x752
Because I don't want to disassemble the tablet to solve the mistery, I decided to test at least the display to see if I was able to argue some more infos. On the lagom dutch website I found a full set of pages to test LCD display.
I tested both the Treskstor tablet and an older Mediacom 101s2, a sort of rebranded Sanei N 10 (rk3066, 1gb ram, 1200x800 IPS).
Apart a reasonable difference in brightness, contrast and colour setting, I discoverd the trekstor tablet shows a moire' pattern in a dedicated test image (lagom.nl/lcd-test/clock_phase.php) and this is a symptom of the graphic adapter setting doesn't match the native display resolution. In the same tests the Mediacom display works correctly.
In the normal use, comparing the two displays, the mediacon one seems "crisper".
So my question is: is it possible such a kind of mismatch between the gpu resolution and the display resolution? Can I solve it in some way?
Thank you in advance
P.
There are over 2500 devices(Phones, tablets and smart watches).
You are most welcome to filter the devices by what you are looking for.
For example, here is how to find only phones with a 5.5 inch screen and 3gb of ram:

I anm a newbie here so I can't add the link to the file so just look in the above youtube description for the link
