Asslam.o.alaikum
Guys i have some questions in my mind, i am of-course googling them but i thought to ask the experts here, it can save my time
1. Where does the IMEI number reside? is it on hardware or it is just in ROM and may be removed by flashing or mechanism? and if it IS changed then is it recoverable?
i know it can be changed but is it masked like we can mask the MAC address or is it over-writable?
2. and can i store any custom information in the ROM of a mobile?
actually i was thinking about some kind of anti-theft thing...
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

I see. Well, You'd need to ask about your issue here in your device section then,

That will work. ?
I flashed my alcatel 4030d. Unfortunately most likely the modem and the radio for the custom rom is not tailored for my region. Therefore I must restore the old modem.img in order to have 3g. However I don't know how to flash the stock rom modem.img. Any advice?
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately it looks as though you've gone against the great advice you were given by one of my experienced colleagues in this thread, and now you're stuck in a situation where you may not be able to recover fully. I'm not sure why you'd do that, you came to XDA Assist looking for the advice of experts, and you were warned about what might happen.
There is no dedicated device section for this phone so coming across the stock modem is going to be difficult to say the least. I'd suggest you do your darndest to search for what you need, but your chances are pretty slim. You could always ask your question in the general q&a section if your searching doesn't prove to be fruitful.

Please also note that XDA Assist is not a general helpdesk area, please ask any future question you may have about this device in the above q&a section I've linked you to.
Good luck!

Hello everyone,
I'm on Cyanogen Mod 12.1 and i can't set up the dates for the mobile datas. It's useless if I can't set up the good period. Hope you understand what i'm saying.
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
Try posting where you for your CM12.1 ROM from, things like you are doing are usually general for all devices but there may be something about how the ROM was made causing your issue, if so, the ROM thread will get you the best answers for how to correct your issue using that ROM, if a solution can't be found then consider another ROM that could possibly allow you to do what you need. If you had listed what device you have I could have linked you to something more specific for your device.
