I got the Xoom on Sunday and so far it works great, but last night all my streaming options to Google Music Beta diappeared. It worked fine for the first 24 hours.
When I open the music program the music has gone. I went to Manage Applications - found the Music app - cleared cache - hit For Stop and Cleared the data. I then reopened the program and asked it to sync to my Gmail account, but when I look under the sync options for the account Google Music is not an option to sync (like it is with Gmail, Docs, Picasa, etc).
What could I be doing wrong?

Has the problem been resolved yet?
I checked again last night and the same issue occurs. Opening the app I can see all the music but after a while it disappears. Only solution is to reinstall the app where after it works like a charm....but only for about 20 - 30 mins

Check your settings and see if hide unavailable music is checked. If it is uncheck it. It hides all the music you need to stream from the cloud and only shows what you can listen to with out an internet connection

This and make sure your Google account is sync'd with your Music app.
Open Music Beta app --> Hit Menu --> Settings --> Google Account
Sometimes you.have to force.close google music.after you force close it open it and it should say you have been invited to google music prompt. After going through the prompt your music should begin to sync.

I know this bug. Uninstall Google Music Beta and re-download it from the Market. From the setup you should be able to get the settings option which includes selecting an account to sync with.
Google Music is not ready for my primetime. App freezes when I hit next track (same bug in the native Android music apparently) and force closes ALL THE TIME. The whole concept of having YOUR own music in the cloud when it could be local on your sd card is still a work in progress. My only use of Google Music (right now) is just listening via the website if I forgot my Tab at home or something. Absolutely not necessary on the go as ALL my music fits on my memory card.
I use PowerAmp to play my music since its the only music app that works on my Tab that won't freeze and force close like Google Music and Music Player do.

I had to also do this on my Epic. I would also have it FC and freeze up as well. Now it does its job. Sync'd and ready when ever I need my music. I have about 7K so far from my Comp.
I have my library uploaded to Google Music and have no problem using it with my HTC Aria and Archos 101. I thought my wife would enjoy the benefits of having our music on demand, so I installed the app on her Inspire. When I click Menu>Settings there is no selection for associating our Google Music account. All I see anywhere in the app is to load music from the device's SD card.
How do I log in to access our Google Music account?
Figured it out. Did a force stop and clear data. When I reopened, I was prompted to associate a g account.
My last Intruder was a Grumman A-6E.

Hi all,
I've been jumping between different ICS ROM bakes to find the one that suits me best, and have had to change some because they've become so laggy after running for a week or two, and I couldn't figure out why.
I'm currently on CyberGR's ROM v7 and it works great on my phone with SIO and lulzactivev2 CPU setup, no overclock, 18hrs+ with medium to heavy usage. Perfect.
But this morning, my MP3s started to skip and the phone was lagging and taking a second or two to notice each keypress.
The one thing I'd done, is sign in to Google Music (previously, I hadn't even started the app as I always use the widget).
I immediately told it to hide my online music, and tried to disable any sync'ing of the 20,000 tracks I have in Google Music, but it just sat there, lagging, 100% CPU, and a spinning circle.
Force-killing the App made no difference either. The phone was just lagging constantly, even though Music.apk was no longer running.
Reboot. Wait for it to settle... lag.
It just wouldn't go away.
So, I opened the App Info on Google Music, cleared all App Data and it's App Cache, and boom. Lag gone.
Open up Google Music, intro about online music, etc - press Back to ignore - play MP3s, all playing smoothly...
Has anyone else experienced this?
Does having a large online Google Music library mean I can't have it linked on my phone?
Is there a way to stop it asking me to sign in every time I start up Google Music?
I can start it via the widget, then open it... but the widget might not be on the track I want to listen to
Settings. Accounts and sync. Uncheck google music.
Now why didn't I think of that... hadn't noticed it hiding at the bottom of the Sync list.
Yup - lag is gone... Ok, that was easy!
Thanks
But does of course mean that I can't use the online Google Music thing... but hey, better then a nag screen I 'spose!
Hey,
I am having an odd kind of problem with Google play music (version 5.01) on HTC Sensation running Elegancia Rom V 7.0.2
Initially when i install google play music and set it up by selecting my google account, it reads all the songs on my sd card and I am able to listen to all sd card music without any problems....but then on its own, after some time, the google play music app stops recognizing my songs and instead i see this screen(attached image 1) when i open the app.
(What you should normally see on opening the app should be something like attached image 2)
I am able to remedy this problem by going to clearing data in the app settings then opening app again and selecting account again...but i have to do it once almost every day, so its a drag..
Has any one else had this issue?
I'm having issues getting an error trying to play anything. I unchecked cache in the app, cleared data and cache through Apps in settings, deleted and reinstalled, this even happened in stock rom and a custom rom. Suggestions?
Bump for no resolution...
What is with another music titles?
Whether I stream or play downloaded music, I get the same error...
Do you have the app set to downloaded only?
It won't even let me play downloaded music. It's starting to get annoying...
Shot in the dark here...
Do you have multiple Google accounts on your phone?
