Hey guys, I got ics running on the pandaboard, google done streamlined it a lot over the way ti suggested to put it on. No display or wifi, tho and its crashing halfway thru boot

Blur kinda took a break for this, but im working on it.

Really? Twiz is horrible..and how many times r u goin ask about it?
The link for it is here: http://www.htcphones.net/honeycomb-on-3-htc-smartphones/. This is still in development and I wouldn't suggest it be for everyday use. It still has bugs at this point but it's a taste of Honeycomb.
I did not in any part develop this or is responsible for any damages. Have fun.

It was designed specially for tablets but developers and hackers will do otherwise.

This is not official and will not be official. Hackers and developers create roms like this. Its not like its a beta of an official honeycomb for EVO which will not happen. This is like a custom modded rom with the sense of Honeycomb and some feature which would take a while to get properly working.
The article is pretty horrible, the port is from r2doesinc though. Of course we all know this won't work right yet but it won't stop me from playing with it...

This was released sooooooo long ago. I was super excited, but now i'm over it...
Waiting for Sense 3.0 on GB! that'll be an amazing port to evo and until then i'm preoccupied with Savaged-Zen rom and theming out AOSP

I got a chance to flash it around 3pm and have been running it sense (pun intended). I love it. It is my favorite Sense rom so far. Mostly bc it doesn't lag so bad. & I like some of the UI changes (cosmetics). I think the launcher will be a love/hate type. I like it over the lousy 3 button dock bar.

Well our "What will your next phone be" thread got moved for some reason to the non-phone specific general discussions sections of XDA proper.
getting gingerbread (CM7) run stable on xt720 is the last we can do for our phone
but ICS look amazing, next summer when it gets more popular I'll consider choosing one to upgrade
Honestly, I'm getting very, very, very tired of Google's constant API and apps abandonment cycle. Even if you get an ICS device, Google is bound to abandon it within a year. I am this close to just abandoning Gmail.

Haha to funny woodrube. I hope you ate that and didn't waste it. all in all tho I played with ics a lil bit on my nexus and its pretty sweet. I really like the new youtube app and browser. It was still pretty smooth for being a sdk port. I'm sure you guys will see it before long. The only thing I'm afraid of is the RAM situation. If they get it on the og Droid you guys will get it for sure.

You can pull apk's from the XE's 3.6 Rom. They sized for WVGA, would save so much time.

Read the thread. My hard drive got fried. I lost all my work so I gotta start from scratch, and that is going to take a while. Remember it was compiled not cooked.

Yes, development can take some time. No doubt about that. But typing up a quick: alright guys, so this is where I stand. Been busy with work, haven't gotten much time to do anything lately. Hopefully some time soon, I can get back to this. But no promises.
I don't think that's too much to ask for. Even if it doesn't move, I'm all about the progress bar. I love watching projects grow from scratch
Maybe he hasn't said anything new because he wants his work to be at his level of standards before he has something to say. He doesn't owe us anything, we should be happy with what we have.
