Can I change the keyboard to stock in ds endymion rom v 2.2? Standard procedure (long pressing a text field) didn't work. Maybe it's impossible in this rom?

If you don't like the themed keyboard (it IS stock for this ROM), just head over to the Endymion ROM thread and download the pure stock HTC keyboard from the link in the second post by Lowveld.
Then just flash it in recovery, reboot and you're done.
Hope this answers your question...

Hey guys,
i'm new to the android scene and aren't very experienced.
I own a rooted htc desire s and want to use a custom sense rom.
Which one do you would recommend for a normal use of the phone? (RCMix3d Runny S, VoidU S or Virtuous Unity?)
Thank you
VoidU S. I used this ROM for over a week. BEST SENSE ROM EVER.
VoidU is definately fastest! Especially when combined with UnityV9 kernel, overclocked.
Been using it for a while now (changing roms regularly to check what's up).
Thank you very much So i go with the VoidU Rom.
And that Kernel combination? Do I have to instal the Rom first and then install the kernel from the zip? Or at first the kernel and then the Rom?
But VoidU has problems with Whatsapp FC no? so for those of us who use it everyday, which rom you suggest?
VoidU has a solution in the thread somewhere. I'll always reccomend this ROM. imIt's just too good.

best way is to first flash the rom, boot it up and set it up, wait a bit till its fully loaded, and then reboot into recovery and flash the kernel (if u need it, default kernel works fine as hell too )

I'm using the Saga LBC Mod and it's pretty quick. I've not ever had trouble with speed though, so it's not that big an issue for me. On my old Hero, however...

Read here!
Tried VoidU and noticed that its much faster for me then Virtuous Unity.
Got 2608 points in quadrant benchmark with the VoidU S ROM and the Unity v9 kernel
I would say Runny v1.4

I've tried all the ROMs by Proxuser, and in my opinion the best is currently the Runny v1.4.
Been using it regularly for a couple of days and have found it to be very smooth, stable, sense 3.5 is a dream come true, the RCMIX3D tweaks are done just right and the battery life is superb.
Would definitely recommend this one. VoidU is a good alternative too.

No stock options for you there... you'll have to use a custom ROM with ultra smooth rosie tweak to eliminate 3D
As I know there is no turning back when you unlock your device

Hi there, are you missing the sense interface?
it all depends how you got to CM7 in the first place, which I'm guessing required:
1. S-OFF + custom recovery
2. Root
3. Installed custom rom
To go back you need to do this:
1. Download the *stock* rom RUU files for your phone. This allows you to get the phone back to its original stock form.
See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002506
2. Change the bootloader. This allows the RUU to overwrite it with the stock bootloader and get it back to S-ON. ENG HBoot is a good one that allows overwriting.
See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113820
3. Once you've changed the bootloader, flash the stock RUU over it, which should automatically overwrite the bootloader, S-OFF, recovery and ROM.

Hi!
Here is a noob question.
Is it possible to turn some parts of the ARHD 6.3.0 (ICS) Senese ROM into AOSP style using a theme?
If it is what do I need to flash in order to get the Settings Menu in AOSP style?
I tried a few themes, choosing carefully the options, but either it did not work, or it changed also the dialer and the contacts.
Thanks.
Use Shnizlon ICS theme it is the best ICS theme IMO.
What do you want to change, because with Shizlon's theme you can change what ever you want
And if you cant find it you can ask to add it to the theme, check the OP.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1470497
Yes, that's the one I was trying, but it did not work correctly, even after 3 tries.
Hello,
I have a Desire S which is now s-off and rooted with the following specs:
bootloader = 2.00.2002
baseband = 3822.10.08.04_M
Main version = 2.10.110.8
Platform = HBOOT-7230
ModelID = PG88****
CIDnum = 11111111
bootloader = ebd3df7d
It has a t-mobile branding and qwerty keyboard in dutch. I want a ROM which is unbranded and which has a azerty keyboard and dutch.
Is subsequent ROM compatible with my specs and my wishes (unbranded and azerty keyboard and dutch) and will it normally install without a problem?
RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.9_Radio_20.4801.30. 0822U_3822.10.0
Or do you know a better alternative ROM to install which suites my wishes?
Thanks for the feedback.
Not sure about the keyboard but would always recommend the ROM that I'm on endymion (of you like sense, it's sense 3.5), see link in my signature
Swyped form ym Dersie S unsig XAD Permuim
I tried different roms on my desire s.
Gingerbread roms like bindroid, runnymed or miui are very stable an fast.
If you would like an ics rom, I would prefer the cyanogen mod 9 rom. It is the first ics rom where the camera, videocamera and panorama is working without any problems. It is very fast and stable.
To get a keyboard with dutch language I can suggest the SwiftKey X app that you can get at the google play store. With installation the app leads you to download the right language for your keyboard.
Hi, I'm a noob. I recently made the move from stock GB and tried using a few different ROM's (Basic CM7, MIUI v4, Reaper V2.2 and some more). The only one which works for me without a flaw is Reaper, no issues there. All the rest, incl CM7 basic, give me a problem with the wifi (says error when I try to turn it on). I tried reinstalling, cleared/wiped all data, caches from clockwork - did all the steps, but still the same.
I love Reaper but was hoping to try out some more ROM's which might not give me issues with wifi. Any ideas?
Try rcmix runny rom, its the best sense rom I think. If you dont like sense, then cm7 must works for you. If not maybe you should try to flash another radio.

Since my last post here, I tried CM9 Alpha ICS as suggested above by trumpetmichel and I have to say, no major issues so far. Thanks for your suggestion though.

I'm looking to add ON / OFF Toggles into my notification bar for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc... I have already searched the forum and can't find exactly what I'm looking for, but know I've seen it out there before.
Thanks so much!

extended quick settings 4G
or there is an awesome mod..which has these extended quick settings + a lot of tweaks
thread here leedroid tweaks
Ahhhhh! okay...
Got it... guess I have LeeDroidTweaks in Elegancia, but it's v1.0, guess I need to upgrade to v4.3.
Just flash zip from 4EXT, right? I know it says Sense 3.6 at the top, will it work for Sense 4.0 as well?

yep simple flash in 4EXT...but i recommend wiping cache + dalvik cache first
@ ganeshp you are cool.. A lot of people you are helped here on xda, congratulations, it's very cool.
ERR!
Update:
So yesterday I attempted to flash LeeDroidTweaks to upgrade it, come to find out the version in the link above is for Sense 3.6 and not 4.0. Not the best idea to flash it either, after installing and a reboot... my phone was stuck on the Elegancia boot screen for like 15 - 20 minutes or so.
Looks like the copy of LeeDroidTweaks thats in Elegancia is from the HTC One X. As it seems that it will no longer be published and has been removed for download. I believe it's only going to be supported if you have the One X ROM thats LeeDroid puts out.
Luckily I had a copy of the ROM still on my SD card, cleared cache and devlik... reflashed the ROM. After reflashing I was as good as if it had never happened in the first place.
FEWF~! *a sigh of relief*

sorry i thought he had link for 4.0 sense too...
and didn't checked your reply properly either
im extremely sorry
It happens...
Its okay, it happens. At least I'm back up and running agian =]
Since those features aren't integrated into LeeDroidTweaks for the One X yet and since LeeDroid is no longer going to distribute an update for it w/ Sense 4.0 support...
Is there another tweak or tool that can place these toggles in my Notification bar that is compatible w/ Sense 4.0?
Thanks!
