[Q] good way to sync sd card with computer? - HTC Inspire 4G

I'm kind of a digital packrat and hate not having backups of data. Does anyone know of an app that would auto sync my sd card with a specified folder on my laptop when I plug my phone in?
Thanks!

[Q] SD Card

Need some help with this. I have a trail camera for watching deer in the woods. It has a SD card adapter with transflash card in it to record the photos on. I have an android phone with transflash card. But if I swap them out I lose my custom ringtones I have set up for everyone. Is there some way I can get those photos onto my cell phone without having to bring the trail camera home and download the photos?

Only Way I Can Think Of Is To Connect To Your Computer For Transfer, Either That Or Email Them To Yourself, Then Go To Email From Your Phone! Also I Would Recommend Making A SDCard Backup On A Computer, In Case Of Losing Files, Say (Ringtones)

What I was thinking was a male to male mini usb cable. But I guess the phone doesn't have the drivers to read from another usb device.

Are Both Of The SdCard The Same Size, If So You Can Press...
Unmount SD, Then Put The New One In Your Phone To Then Connect To PC, Me Myself I Have A SDCard I Just Purchased That Allows You To Insert A Micro SdCard Into That, To Then Transfer Apps/Pics/Files..... To A PC Easily!!

What if you just copy the custom ringtones to the internal memory of your phone with a file manager, swap the cards and then copy them back to the card?

[Q] transfer files via USB from ubuntu?

I am trying to transfer music to the Transformer from my ubuntu laptop. When I plug in the USB, syslog shows the usb high speed device connect, but it won't mount. I don't know much about android, so I thought maybe if your device isn't rooted, you can't access the internal storage via USB. So I grabbed a micro sd I had laying around (an old 1Gb) and popped it in thinking I could access that... no dice. Is there a way to transfer music on this thing?
-Thanks!
You need MTP drivers.
EDIT:http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/mot...ussion/691-mount-internal-storage-ubuntu.html
https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/45977?tstart=0 try that?
It won't mount in Linux. There is a way to make your computer mount storage, but I usually just take my micro SD out (32gb) and pop it in a card reader. Maybe try another card.

Upload .apk wirelessly

Lets say I have a tablet connected wirelessly (tether hotspots) to my phone wifi. Is there an app that can transfer from my phone SD card onto a honeycomb tablet without connecting cables or USB?
Tablet not rooted.

bluetooth?
bluetooth
or indirectly, install dropbox on both of your phones and exchange files through dropbox

Takes so long to put music on...

I am not sure why but I dropped one folder from an artist (29 songs) onto my phone and it took about 7-10 minutes just to put 29 songs...even if I put 200 of my favorite songs it would take close to an hour?? is this unusual?
Depends on the file size and how you're syncing the music. Are you connecting the phone directly to your computer or are you plugging the sd card directly to your computer. In my experience plugging the sd card directly into the computer makes for faster data transfers.

Ohh ok well i will try that next time

File transfer issue.

Just switched over from the rezound and wondering what the easiest way of copying my pics over would be? Seems like the drivers are different in terms of how this thing syncs up. Using win 7 64 bit and i get errors when just trying to move the files over to the SD card to the point where i have to unplug and plug the cable back in..
Thought i would be able to just plug this thing into the computer after installing the drivers and see the sd card automatically as a drive to move stuff freely to but doesnt seem to be the case.

This phone had MTP which windows supports natively. Should be able to view the internal and external cards immediately if you have the right drivers installed. It won't mount like a straight sdcard mount to the computer, on your computer it will look more like it has mounted your entire phone.
