Application not compatible with your device - HTC Sensation

Hey guys I'm currently running hypersensation cm7. Running faux kernel.
I used root tools to change my LCD density to 190 and now I am getting " application not compatible with your device"
Does anyone know a fix for this?
Sent from my Sensation using Tapatalk

Had the exact problem for some reason you have to keep lcd dendity at stock 240 for apps to work on market
If i helped hit thanks

when i install them from back ups and that sort of thing i have no issue using them, so i know i dont "have to use 240". being as all of my apps work without an issue.
I am assuming that the market does not recognize my device as a sensation because of my resolution.
is there anyway to edit/ spoof this so that i dont have to change my lcd density back to stock everytime i want to get a new app from market ?

[Q] market.

Does anyone get applications that they used to use on their G2x before that get the "your device is not compatible" error in the market? I get it for the XDA premium app and I always ran it on CM7 now I cannot any ideas what to do?

Try to clean the cache
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Yeah, I started getting it on a game called Sprinkle.. if I flash back to stock it works fine but it doesn't on the new version of CM7 (2.3.7). If I flash an older version, it still works.
Maybe the developers don't have the newest version flagged since the only phone that "should" have it is the Nexus S 4G.
In most cases cleaning cache solves the problem. If u played with ur screen resolution just back to 240

Had the same issue and cleaning the cache solved it. Ideally if you have CWM installed 'wipe the /cache partition"

Wonder if anybody can tell me why it says minecraft is not compatible with my play? I already have it on my phone and got it from the market? I have root. Unlocked bootloader and doomkernal, could one of them cause the problem? And if so why?
Thanks in advance

whats your DPI?

i personally like 132 DPI but cannot play other games while on this DPI
also 132 crashes the official ics 4.0.4 and brings me to a bootloop.
what is your personal preference when it comes to DPI? what DPI are you using?
Problems encountered.. what ROM are you using?
I'm using 140 now and its even more compatible with apps compared with 132

does this work on ICS? I changed mine down like you did last night on ICS and had bootloops until i ODIN'ed
I'm sorry DPI changing on official ROM causes malfunctions , thou in hc it works fine.
I was using cm9
I'm sorry sir for not being able to state it here earlier

Has it been confirmed that it is not possible to change the DPI setting on tab plus with rooted ICS4.0.4?
You can easily change the dpi in ROMs like CM 10, PA 2.5.
Anything other than stock ROMs will let you change dpi.

Why?
It's not really designed for phones.

I see some phones here(htc evo 3D,LG 2X...).So it's not only for tablets.

Yeah, it works on these devices, but it is mainly designed for media player use, like the Google Nexus Q.

As stated in original thread if you hear sound but black screen you need to send him logcat and device model. Its a known issue.

My friend and I both tried different builds. I always have black screen. Funny thing is that the first time he tried it worked for him. He didn't play any movies but he was going through the settings. He closed it and it never opened again. Just black screen.

Same here.I was able to run once, and thats it.We shoud send log cat or something to devs...

I didn't try it yet but...
Could work if we'll trick the program to think that it's on another device? I mean changing the identity of O3D, as it happens in the Xperia 3D rom by Meemo if I'm not in error. With that ROM the update program and Google Play were seeing my phone as a SE Xperia not as LG O3D!
I'll be peeing against the wind but it worth a shot to try.
So we have to edit build.prop?We need to find the line where device name is i gues...
Will try this...

Looking at my build.prop I see the lines:
ro.product.model=LG-P920
ro.product.brand=lge
ro.product.manufacturer=LGE
Anyway you should see first a build.prop file of a device that you know it works
And pay attention to what you modify because you can brick it, get a boot loop or something like that.
And you should ask advice from a developer... they are all good guys and I think that would help you gladly.
Again I might be peeing against the wind - but you never know.
I did a full backup and then edit build.prop to NEXUS S.With no luck, i got the same error.Will try with different edit in build.prop... Thx for you help.:thumbup:

Thanks.But one stupid question: what version have you tried? I guess the Neon version because ours doesn't have Tegra.But one I've tried Tegra designed games and some of them worked.See my early threads.I'll try also but I'm not so brave with coding or something like that

Both versions.None of them working.But one thing that I've noticed is that if you go to kill application and clear cache you'll see that this one, the cache is about 45 Mb which is a lot and therefore freezes the phone.Could this be a problem?Cache file too big?I think that in the end it needs bigger RAM, like 1 Gb.
