It ain't right I tell ya, just not right. I won't be at my computer till Tuesday evening.
Cranky...
Przekret, I love you man!
Edit: no homo
Well the data icon went back to H+ from 4G. Moving between screens and apps feels snappier. Touch keyboard feels a little more responsive but that may just be wishful thinking.
I had an issue in kk1 where the touch screen became entirely unresponsive when laying flat on a table. That seems to be gone.
Fyi I didn't factory reset. I just flashed over kk1 and it kept everything. I'm not rooted nor am I running a custom kernel.
Sent from my infuse
Well it seems kk1 was infact broken. Since two builds we're released the same day..

I thought the same thing but more research suggested that is just how the touch screen works. If you leave phone on table and rest one hand on phone while swiping with other does it work again? Still be cool if that was somehow fixable. I also noticed the same thing if you lean the phone on something without touching with other hand so not just when flat. I'm not gonna pretend I know how it works but its almost like it needs you holding/touching it to work. There are other threads on same issue for different phones.

I have never experienced this. Strange! My touchscreen works on flat surface with one hand, or when I have it setting in it's tray (actually a black steel business card holder, but works).
ok. so heres the deal. i just flashed this. and tried youtube and it played videos fine. then i flashed entropy's kernel. and video broke. so when kk1 was made att changed something with the framework that depends on the g2d driver. which entropy explained here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19336634&postcount=101
so until entropy can get that fix and push it to his and the other devs for their kernels.. video will be broken. unless you use stock kernel.

Try it on a wooden surface. I just tested on steel and mine works to. Must be some type of conductive loop.

This will help you recover from a true birck
true brick = phone will not power up, no leds lighting up. Your phone trully dose nothing
Ive used this method 3 times so far and have been able to recover. I can not GUARANTEE this will work 100% of the time. My guess is it depends on the cause of the brick. (for me it was some alpha builds of the twilight kernel. sorry tanimn)
1) make sure your phone is powered off (if your bricked you dont need to worry about this)
2) remove the battery dore
3) look beneith the silver camera bezel on the left hand side. youll see a tinyu hole that dosnt look like much
4) insert a ball point pen or bent paper clip inside of the hole and apply some pressure (not to much)
5)hold for 10-15 seconds ( longer if you like )
6) boot the phone directly to dl mode
7) odin ec05 or any stock rom you desire. ( make sure its the full tar ).
Great to hear that there may be a way to fix things if something goes wrong! Even if it saves only one other person's phone!
you sly devil...it looks almost like the other spots in the plastic

This is exactly why I never posted this before. This is the same issues with the i9000. Less then 50% if the people actually have this "magic button". I'm still trying to dig up that thread for reference.
I my self feel the button when pressed. I have recovered from 3 bricks using this "magic button" nubecoder had stated he has seen this button when his phone was disassembled
The reason this thread no exists now is cause I was asked to start a thread after I posted something in the vision kernel thread.

I've flashed all ROMS in the dev section.
TPC V3 with da_g's kernel has been the fastest and most stable for me. Hands down.

I'm fairly new to android but i have a Rogers LTE and I am a software tester as my day time job..
I tried the TPC V3 and it was pretty good but i ran into some issues after a few days. I posted them somewhere on here but here they are again
1) the battery drained pretty quickly.
2) while in contacts it will all of a sudden jump to a random letter
3) when i try and open angry birds or fruit ninja it flashes and goes back to the home screen
4) when i reboot my phone the time is wrong and i have to set it to network time again
5) in the factory browser when i rotate the device it automatically goes back to Google.com no matter what page i am viewing, also it closes all my open windows too
Cosmetically - i'm not a fan of the 4G LTE icon and the Blue circle battery meter..
but this dev seems to update his stuff regularly and i am looking forward to trying it again as it was pretty fast and smooth.
I am currently just Rooted with these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340526
it works well and the battery life seems to be pretty good.. on LTE all day it lasts and wifi at home in the evening.. it still has the Rogers Bloatware on it but i just put into a CRAP folder and leave it at that..
Cyanogenmod 7 is the best with DA_G kernel version 4 for cm7. Phone is ultra stable & alot faster then it was with the Stock rom or any of the other custom roms.
Does anyone else have problems when playing temple run with it not being sensitive enough? I even turned my sensitivity all the way up and i feel like i have to tilt really far in order to get my guy to move from side to side :/
There are like 2 threads about this, check the general section, there is a thread about it. From what I've seen its a problem with cm7 and cm7 based ROMS or CM7 kernels like Faux's cm7 kernel and Trinity's cm7 kernel. It works perfectly on stock and on Cm9 WITH harsh's 3.0 kernel.

Just like a 1st person shooter. Get used to it at a super high sensitivity and you'll be way better off.
It could be rom issues. I recently flash Genesis ics and the sensor works fine when it wasn't b4. however, sometimes my swipe doesn't register

Definitely a kernel issue the stock kernel is the way to go kuz that's how the game is meant to be sensitive but trinity and faux make it not sensitive enough. Also words of advice when playing temple run to prevent the falling off the edge just wait a milliseconds longer before attempting to make turns...trust me it works I broke 5 mill a few times but for some reason my screenshot app didn't work lol

For one, the "stock kernel" is going to be different depending on which ROM you use. And no one is going to choose which kernel they use over one game.

No ones rushing you Thomas, I have been in the Army and i know how little free time you have between training cycles, That's Partially why i was wondering what happened to Raver's ICS. That Way it might not seem like the weight of this does not set solely on your shoulders. The other part was just pure curiosity I read about it a few months ago and never heard anything else about it.
ICS kernel

Also I just remembered that Kraver said he compiled his version from the source code, so doesn't that mean that that there is an ICS kernel for the sgs4g floating around out there? Granted an untested kernel, but an ICS kernel none the less. I am obviously not the most knowledgeable person on the subject, Granted I don't even know if that info will actually help you at this point, but it was something I just remembered when you said that you where trying to use a GB kernel. Either way we have faith in you if these guys can do it so can you!!!

This is a self-compiled kang of CM9 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, most comparable to a CM nightly build. You need not apply if you’re not comfortable with testing out new and possibly broken features. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.

Latest merges to CM source code: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#q,sta...branch:ics,n,z
Cherry picks and other modifications
If cherry picks disappear, it's because they were merged, abandoned or conflict with the current source or other cherry picks.

Gonna give this a shot, love your cm7.
Edit: OK been running this last night and today, only a couple things to report. Using it stock kernel etc I didn't change anything. Wifi calling FC constantly, had to freeze it to shut it up. Wifi ap froze the phone, had to battery pull. Getting a lot of keyboard lag. Rom ran great when it first installed, but now the keyboard lag won't go away even after reboot. Having a hard time getting google sync on 4g, sometimes does sometimes doesn't, wifi is working fine.
Overall very nice rom especially considering no tweaks really done, runs very well.

I would if I had that kind of skill...I don't think that's going to happen until arcee gets some free time...
even with the harsh kernel wifi calling still closes, cleared data, reinstalled the app, same thing, otherwise it works pretty good.
Is this ROM getting more updates?

If you take a look at CM's site, you'll see that their development hasn't advanced any, as far as what's been released, since May 11th. So, I'm sure that once CM releases an update, Euroskank will update based off new source code.

The one from today is just for testing purposes. I haven't done any cherry picks for it...

Cool. I still played with and it seems fine. Just a few minor issues like with the data icon not changing, and the apps taking long to open up.
