Hello,
I would like to know if there is a .apk to register(record) the voice SVOX or TTS?
I looked on XDA, on Android Market and on the net but I found nothing.
For what I try to make is simple:
I would like I could register(record) in the size(format) mp3 or other, the reading of texts read by SVOX to make bells personalized for e-mails, SMS, mms, and sure persons of my correspondents.
I tried the apk Speak it, but I cannot make several bells or announce for SMS, mms, e-mail, etc...
ATTENTION: I do not look for an APP which says to me which call(appeal) or sends a message.
I really try to register(record) in size(format) MP3 or other one of the text read by SVOX or TTS.
If somebody know the answer, she is welcome.
In advance I thank you for your help.

Does anyone know of any Windows Mobile 6 Voice SMS programs?
I drive a lot, and typing on a small keyboard while driving is not all that comfortable. So i was wondering if there is any program which would let me speak the words into a SMS message and the words would translate into text.
I don't think most PPC devices really have the muscle for accurate speech to text. It's only recently that it's quality has gotten fairly acceptable for PCs with processors a good 10-15 times faster than most PDA phones have available to them.
I use Jott (www.jott.com) semiregularly and it's a really nice service. If you're based in the USA, you find it useful for your needs.
As avatar said, I don't think PPCs have the processing power (yet).
As avatar said most software in this category is quite unreliable. If you do a google search for this software are try the first few options available you will discover this for yourself

I was looking more of a program which will allow me to speak out a text message and convert my words into text so I can send a text message to a phone number. Jott only sends out emails.

yeah ive been hunting for something like that for a while... still looking. As far as text to speech goes the best available is textspeech pro
I am searching speech to text software for a long time too. I really want to record my job meeting by my phone and it can convert the meeting converasation to a word document or PDF file, then it is easier to make a memo for the meeting. Also, I don't need to busy to drop note in the meeting.
If anyone who know that kind of Program?

Thanks for your reply, but the software you mentioned above is a text-to-speech,
software but not a speech-to-text. They are not the same kind of software.

I'll keep looking!
I know that there are apps for speech to text for the iphone and for Blackberrys. Somebody's gotta be able to do it.
Try Dial2Do
Someone above said that Jott doesn't do texts. I used to send text messages while driving with them all the time. According to their website they still do it. But I quit Jott when they went out of beta, and switched to Dial2do. Same functionality, as far as texting goes, but a free service.
http://www.dial2do.com/
Try Speereo
Well ther's a new app called tellme which uses your voice for text, searching internet and many other features... just a quick search here and it will take you to the thread but its only compatible with WM6.5, and you need to install microsoft voice command before installing tellme...

hoping for the same thing, you would think there should exist a small app, but apparently there isn't...hopefully someone gets inspired and makes one
Humm.. SMS over VoIP? Is it possible? VoIP would need to provide an SMS gateway; which a phone carrier wouldn't...
How about an alternate solution? Email to SMS/SMS to Email gateways, specifically because they exist? If you find a way to send SMS over the telephone system, let me know.
[edit]
I was being to cocky. Looks like Skype provides; but read that wikipedia article anyway.
[edit2]
There are some web sites that will send SMS (that would be, other than the carriers themselves)... I just found CallWave.

yea there are website, but its real annoying to open a browser, type the address in, and then type the message. there are programs that do what we're asking so its not impossible, they're just tailored for the pocketpc (SMSoIP, IPSMS to name a few)
yea thats right... so voipsms is popular. but no app for SP yet!!

ya, it blows my mind too, lol unless there is and ppl aren't sharing
lol i'm guessing its not possible.... i ran into a program called fring which i think does allow you to do this, but just curious if we can do this without a 3rd party app
NO and NO! FRING does not allow you to do SMS via VOIP.
Im just really surprised by the lack of interest in this topic.
Do you people even know what SMS via VOIP means? It means FREE SMS TO ALL COUNTRIES WITH YOUR NUMBER AS SENDER (e.g. with VOIPBUSTER)

any other ideas=??
Ok heres my story , i have friends in Pakistan which i want to send sms's to every once in a while but since im in America international SMS's are pretty costly. I know if im sitting to my pc i can use those web to SMS sites like http://www.telenor.com.pk/services/webtosms.php but when im on my phone ( which is a touch pro and i have unlimited data so tht aint an issue) i cant load these sites as they use java and the app wont load on my phone.
My question is is there any way to get these kind of sites working , or any other way to send sms for free to pakistan ? specifically a telenor number?
Im open to any suggestions. Thanks.
Still looking for ideas please.
No one has any ideas??
If you can find out their provider's SMS email address, then you can email them and they'll receive it as a text.
For example, I'm with Bell Mobility, and their's is my 10-digit number followed by @txt.bellmobility.ca.
You can probably find it on the internet somewhere.

Well, to begin, you do not have to use specialized services to send SMS. If you use IM, most major ones (AIM, Messenger, etc) will let you send SMS too. Likewise, if you install AIM/Messenger on your phone, you can use them to send SMS to your friend too.
If I may, however, I would suggest you use Google Voice. See, GV has a neat trick which allows you to do international SMS with no extra charge (do not try it with international calling, though, as it will not work). Using Google Voice is much, much easier, doesn't require any extra programs, and work exactly like a regular SMS (so you can SMS through your phone, but send through GV instead of regular). Prior warning, though: Sending SMS through GV won't get you any extra international cost, but it will still cost you the regular SMS charge, so if you do not have texting, be careful.
I myself have not done it, but others have already, and they reported success: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/voice/thread?tid=47d001a0c15f6f1e&hl=en
here in phil im using mjoy.com, i dont know if will work in ur country. sorry for my bad english.
OK i do have a GV account and have tried texting my frined with it but i dont think he gets the msgs so unfortunatly its a no go for me , from the link u posted it seems like a hit or miss kinda thing too.

SMS to Pakistan
I would try a free web sms from you phone at:
smsfree4all.com/free-text-pakistan.php
Let me know how it goes.
Will Someone find a way to send messages on the Nexus S? I tried several sites but I did not understand much, and now I commend you to your esteemed forum for developers. For now I use an application (jaxtrsms) that sends text messages for free, but it is bad because it is always in memory and will not let me complete management.
My question is: when upgrading to google ICS will solve the problem?
There are already solutions to the failure to send text messages (frustrating!!)? If yes, someone can help me?
BIG THANKS
There are 3 ways I know of to message:
SMS through your carrier
SMS through Google Voice (free)
Gtalk or other web-based client (free)
However, you need data connectivity for all web-based methods above. So either wifi of 2/3G/4G through your carrier. Other than that I have no idea on what you're actually asking for.

I recommend whats app.
I have a new Gear S2, and the voice recognition on voice memos has been working well. However on the phone, all I can find is the audio recordings. It would be much better to have the transcribed text on my phone somewhere, like as a notification or in the Gear App on the phone. Is it somewhere that I am missing?
Solved my own problem by making IFTTT one of my Buddies, and then I can send voice texts to that and from IFTTT the possibilities are endless.
