Got my 10.1 note and love it, however, despite trying layer paint I really enjoy using s-note.
however, is there any way of changing opacity for screenshots, layers?
Also is there a way I can disable scrolling, as when I touch with my palm to rest to draw it sometimes moves the canvas.
If you don't want to get your hand to affect the touchscreen, you should tap on the finger icon at the right bottom of the frame. If you go like this, the screen can only be accessed by the stylus

That'll only prevent the finger from drawing on the screen when the pen is away, and only prevent the palm from pan/zoom when the pen is closer than an inch-ish (14mm) from the screen. In reality this isn't always the case which leading to this really frustrating problem! I'm very aware of the problem myself and started a thread about it in the apps section a couple of hours ago. Unfortunately because the lack of settings in SNote I can't see any fix but to replace it with an third part app like Lecture Notes... To bad, I really like the shape/function features in SNote as well as the WolframAlpha "instick".
So I got a S-pen with eraser and as many of you may already know, you have to remove the s-pen that came with the tablet to be able to use the separate s-pen.
Did anyone figure out a way to avoid this? I think it's pretty annoying...
Turn off power saving in spen settings. You can leave the spen in there and use another 3rd party pen fine....
^^^ What he said - I have a case that allows an additional s-pen to be held on the case. I disabled power saving and always use the cases pen. I hardly ever remove the original one
Steve
Thanks a ton guys! I can't believe I missed that
Hi all,
One of the nice things about the S-Pen on the Galaxy Note line is that the user can turn off the dot on the screen that appears beneath the pen if you don't like it. On my Surface Pro I find that STUPID dot quite annoying when I am trying to ink, but MS in the wisdom has decided to give us no way to turn it off.
I am assuming their must be a Registry Hack that allows users to control this behavior. Anyone have an idea?

I may be wrong, but there should be an option to remove visual feedback in desktop control panel. Might be under Touch or Input or Pen or something like that.

Sadly there is not. You can removed the pulsating dot that appears beneath a touch, but you cannot turn off the pen cursor.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2351974
however, it seems that on my phone. the sensor isnt great, as it only detects hover hold, even when im not holding. can u guys test it out on yours?
Recently I bought the motorola one vision that by the way I left it today in the warranty and on Saturday they will give me a new one, I changed it because I was having problems with the tactile sensitivity.
I come from a xiaomi mi a2 and I am used to writing very fast, in the motorola one vision when writing fast or normal sometimes certain letters when touching them did nothing like they do not recognize the touch.
This happens to me with a tempered glass screen protector or without it and when charging this is worse, and also if for example I put the phone on a surface the sensitivity drops to the maximum.
If you google it you will see a lot of reports of this issue in lenovo forums
do you have this touch issue too?
Yes, I have problems with the touchscreen sensitivity, because of this I removed the protective screen of the display which did not stick well because of the curvature of the screen. Now I use the phone without a foil screen protector and the touch is better . I read in this forum there are more people complained this matter . Also I can tell this is not Gorilla glas this is some glass equivalent to Gorilla glass 3 .
90% have this problem , is hardware issue . A10 solved it a little but still have it
I have this problem and it drives me crazy. I am still stuck on A9 so hoping A10 does indeed improve it a little. The worst is when the phone is sitting flat on my desk - it is almost impossible to use.
No touch issues here. XT1970-3 with tempered glass. Don't know about in games as I don't play.
I also had problems using the device with film, I researched a lot on the Internet about it and it seems to be a problem with the device. But with two simple configurations I managed to get around the problem and the device is very usable at the moment. 1 - Go to settings - System - Languages and input - click advanced - find the option Pointer speed - Slide the bar all the way to the right and click Ok. Restart the device. 2 - Open again Settings - Sound - Scroll the screen down - Click on advanced - Find the option "Vibrate when touching the screen" and disable it.
I hope I helped, with these two settings I managed to get around the problem on my device. It still has some gagging but the touch response is much better.
Sorry my bad english.

This is not a quite well solution because increasing sensitivity of touches from settings will cause false-positive clicks, touches , whatever which are undesirable in a daily use of phone .

I made this configuration on my device and had no problem with false positives. And with the update to Android 10 the touch has improved more. I noticed that by activating the "vibrate when touching the screen" setting again, the device again fails to touch when typing.

I'm sure you're right about this but I'm sure you have a screen protector . I don't . So in my case your solution isn't quite well .

Hello, I have the same problem but I found something that help...
My problem increase when is on a surface, but if you plug only the cable type C the problem is fix...
If you do it, just plug the cable to the phone and the other part leave it alone
I think the port or something internal there isn't connected to ground... Maybe someone with better knowledge in electronics can help.
Test it and tell me if works you
Bought one for my wife and updated to Android 10. I can confirm the issue still exists touch sensitivity is not very accurate . It's ok could be better but not a deal breaker. Motorola should do something z then again all hardware is made by samsung..... This model it's not produced anymore , I wonder why....
