Hello Everybody.
As someone sends me sms, never get immediately.. I cant understand why... I have contract with T-Mobile..Usually, I must two hours wait for sms.
Thank you very much.
Hello, I'd sat that you should read the forum further, as delayed SMS is a reported problem for some ROM versions, an update/upgrade of your ROM version should resolve this.
But I'd suggest looking for the other threads that cover the same problem already

Thanks heaps for this, I was having the infuriating SMS delay issue being on the 20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M version with Android 2.3.3.
Upgrading it to 20.48.30.0822U_3822.09.08.20 has solved the problem

Starting to wonder whether this is a t-mobile issue, I've got a feeling the last few people posting this were on t-mobile.
Which ROM are you using anyway?
Thank you very much for Answer. I installed new rom(Endymion) and now everything is okay with SMS.
I had Saga Rom from Virtuous Unity.

Don't know if there is a definitive guide, but you could start by reading this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1143501

Thanks for the quick reply , had read the thread then went to look for ginger break but seen in the later posts that it didn't work on 2.3.3 so left it alone. Was kinda lost after that

Well, try installing Titanium Backup from market.. if when running it it ask you if allow it or not and it let you allow it it means that you are super user
Thanks for the help lads Super User is indeed in the apps list. Think I'll run with the stock at the mo till I get my head round roms and kernels

Anyone thats rooted get the 2.3.5 update? I keep checking and it say no update available, but looks like its not even searching. Any one else having any more luck?
it will be available shortly, don't worry about getting OTA.
I'm running cyanogenmod and already have the radio installed.
It's only a matter of time.
Did you just download the zip and flash it in recovery over cyanogen?
Hello, where did you get the radio? is it an improvement ? Thanks!

It is not on 2.3.4 it is on 2.3.5 - if you are still showing 2.3.4 that you did something wrong.
I just flashed the zip and mine says 2.3.4

Not OTA from ATT.
Someone usually posts them in stock form and then custom roms are made.
There is a Q&A subforum....

Thanks, sorry for posting this here, i read your thread after i did it.
So I have spent the last 2-3 days combing every respectable forum on the web and can't find an answer to this.
I did the kies update to 4.1.2 and then rooted with SuperuserSU. Now I need to tether. I tried freezing the TetheringProvision 4.06.30 but that didn't work like it did with the Tethering Manager in GB and ICS.
Can someone advise what the issue is?
I would appreciate any assistance you can give.

I'm sorry I can't solve your problem for you. I have the same problem too. I was using Wifi Tether For Root Users and it was great. I updated to the most current version, tried the Treve Mod version, and nothing works. I'll let you know if I make any progress. Good luck
I got it to work for me

I have a SII i727 on the ATT network;
Im not sure exactly what you are using for your wifi app but I use Wifi Tether for Root. After updating to JB 4.1.2, I rooted using openrecovery twrp 2.5.0.0. in odin 1.85. I deleted my previous Wifi Tether app and started fresh. I found the following site and directly downloaded/installed the TrevE Mod from the browser in my phone using a Google search. I then followed the instructions from the following;
This is where I would have inserted the link however this site restricts me from doing that since I am a new user. So instead, google search "wifi tether treve mod" and your first hit should be a site from highonandroid dot com. From there, they do all the work.
I can't believe it, but it works on both my ipad and laptop flawless!!! I hope that helps and best of luck to you...

Ooops.......sorry, I told you I'm a noob. Thank you very much for posting those links. The first one relates to native tethering but the 2nd one is spot on!! You guys are the best. Being a noob and all, would you by chance be able to suggest donation range that is appropriate? Many thanks

Thanks for all the help. I am about to get the S4 and turn this skyrocket into my work phone.
I am a fan of the jb update in terms of ui but I do miss just freezing the tethering manager in GB and using the native tethering.
I'll let you know which one I end up with.
