In the hidden menu there is an option for SMPL Count, which shows you a value, and SMPL Count Reset. Does anyone know what this is and what the reset actually does? I have Google and Googled but cannot find any information on this.
There is also a "Reboot CP/AP" option. What does this do also?

Hi!
When you get a SMS or calendar event or battery is running out, you get that "bubble" at the bottom telling about the event. For SMS you get snippet of it and so on.
Some days ago, my TP stopped doing that! I just got a SMS, and it made all the notification sounds and wibrates and I got the icon on top, but not the pop-up. When I click on the icon, I get the black notifications screen, from which I need to click it again, and only then I get the pop-up ballon.
How can I get it back to work as it should?
I've done some changes with Advanced Config, but nothing that relates to that. Nor do I now find anything that could relate to it. Currently I'm questioning if Advanced Config does something else than what it seems to do.... well at least I cannot think of any setting from anywhere that would have changed this.
Do I need to hard reset the phone again?
Firts try to set the default settings back in advanced config and try to use the default skin.
If that don't fix the problem then you could back up your phone, do a hard reset and overwrite the fresh install with the back up you made.
In Settings>Sounds and notifications>Notifications
select the options from the drop down list and tick checkbox next to display message on screen

Duh!
Thanks! Had been there, but didn't see the option as I was too lazy to try to change the notification event.
But I never changed that... so I do not know how it was changed. However, no hard reset needed this time (only one so far... due GPS problems).
It appears there is a relationship with using Advanced Config here
I second that. Advanced Config is the culprit. Uninstall it, re-enable each of your notifications under settings, then do soft reset. When I had Advanced Config Installed, my device just kept unchecking the notifications boxes for no reason. I'd re-enable them and about a day later they would be unchecked again. Uninstalled Advanced Cofig and no more issues.
I've searched for a registry edit to turn off the program name from always displaying in the title bar up top. I can't seem to find it -- does anyone know what it is? Thanks!!!
Do you mean: Start - Setting - System - Task Manager - tape&hold on a particular program name - "add the exclusive" in the pop-up meny ?
(the program then will continue to run in background but will not be visible)
Um... no... I mean when you're running something, anything, the name of it shows up in the upper task bar, to the right of the Start Menu. It shows as many letters as it can up to where the icons display. I used to use a program called WISbar Advance that had an option to turn this off, but no longer use it -- was hoping to find out how to achieve that setting through the registry.
I have a Droid Incredible running Android 2.1. I am using Vibrate During Meetings to silence the ringer automatically. It has a setting that allows you to only silence the ringer when the event is coded "busy." My problem is I cannot find any place in the calendar application that allows me to set the busy/free indicator. I have looked under every menu and setting and run into a brick wall. I even tried using a couple of other calendar apps (Jorde and Calendar Pad) and still can't find the setting. The developer of Vibrate During Meetings wouldn't have added this feature if you couldn't set this indicator somehow. Can anyone help me with this?
If you make a new event, you can chose below if you are busy or free at the moment, the event is starting. that is the flag, you are looking for.
There's no flag or field related to this on the add new event screen. The only menu choice is "Add Reminder"
Create new event
Input info
Menu
Show Extra Options
Where is "show extra options" at?!

I'm in the exact same situation. Have any solutions been found? I have searched the web for anything mentioning how to resolve this issue, but I can't seem to find anything?!
All I can find is _how_ to ie. make an event private, which is to select the "Show extra options" tab... but it's NOT THERE!?
So, if anyone can help make this option appear on my display, please tell me.

Open up the "Phone" app, press menu and have a look around. They've moved it from system settings.
From phone app, press menu then setting. Its the first choice after you choose additional settings.
Does anybody know the location of the file where the CM10 power widget stores its settings? This is actually a bug report for Camcory's CM10 11/26/12 build for the SGH-T679, but I won't be able to post in the relevant thread until I hit my 10 posts, so I'll ask here instead in case anybody else has come across this with other CM10 builds. Here is what I'm running:
Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G
CM10 JB 4.1.2 11/26/12 build from Camcory with included kernel
JusTunBean JB4.2 aroma v4.1.2 and also tried v.5.0.1
I was really liking the slide brightness feature on the notification bar, but now it's not working. Under Settings > Display > Brightness the Automatic Brightness box is grayed out and unchecked. This I expected, since I think the phone just doesn't support this feature. I've never seen it on any ROM for this phone. The brightness toggle button from the Notification drawer power widget has "Auto" as one of the available options, but when I toggled it to auto it got stuck on auto and won't change to anything else. It still cycles through the other settings, such as 25%, 50%, etc., but it always shows an "A" in the icon. This caused the notification bar slide brightness to stop working. The setting to enable this under Settings > System > Status bar is grayed out now and says "Brightness control - Automatic brightness is enabled" with the box checked, and I can't uncheck it. I tried clearing app data for Settings, Settings Storage, and System UI, but the power widget still has the "A" on the brightness toggle. Next I tried wiping cache, dalvik, and dalvik cache and that didn't help. I also tried reinstalling gapps. I really like this ROM and don't really want to do a full wipe just to fix this setting. If anybody knows exactly where the power widget settings file is stored I don't have any problem manually trying to edit it myself.
its a mystery....no one ,even the devs do not know where power widget stores data
