Does anybody know the location of the file where the CM10 power widget stores its settings? This is actually a bug report for Camcory's CM10 11/26/12 build for the SGH-T679, but I won't be able to post in the relevant thread until I hit my 10 posts, so I'll ask here instead in case anybody else has come across this with other CM10 builds. Here is what I'm running:
Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G
CM10 JB 4.1.2 11/26/12 build from Camcory with included kernel
JusTunBean JB4.2 aroma v4.1.2 and also tried v.5.0.1
I was really liking the slide brightness feature on the notification bar, but now it's not working. Under Settings > Display > Brightness the Automatic Brightness box is grayed out and unchecked. This I expected, since I think the phone just doesn't support this feature. I've never seen it on any ROM for this phone. The brightness toggle button from the Notification drawer power widget has "Auto" as one of the available options, but when I toggled it to auto it got stuck on auto and won't change to anything else. It still cycles through the other settings, such as 25%, 50%, etc., but it always shows an "A" in the icon. This caused the notification bar slide brightness to stop working. The setting to enable this under Settings > System > Status bar is grayed out now and says "Brightness control - Automatic brightness is enabled" with the box checked, and I can't uncheck it. I tried clearing app data for Settings, Settings Storage, and System UI, but the power widget still has the "A" on the brightness toggle. Next I tried wiping cache, dalvik, and dalvik cache and that didn't help. I also tried reinstalling gapps. I really like this ROM and don't really want to do a full wipe just to fix this setting. If anybody knows exactly where the power widget settings file is stored I don't have any problem manually trying to edit it myself.
its a mystery....no one ,even the devs do not know where power widget stores data

Hello,
Where can I see the default settings of my phone? And where to see the defaults of pull down bar (swipe down from top and the buttons to on/off items will appear)?
I mean I wish to see what are the defaults, is there a list somewhere?
I am using Samsung Galaxy S4.
For example defaults:
My device>Display>Auto-rotate screen is ticked.
My device>LED indicator>Charging is ticked.
Pull down bar (swipe down from top), Sync is selected.
The problem is a kid played with my phone for a few hours, and I did not know what settings he changed. I am not sure what are the defaults too, some settings might have been turn off/on by him.
Thanks
Ok still playing around with this
Flashed Uber ROM with CM12 and just loading up the apps again
On Pre paid and I switch off the data now and again. There is no option to do this on the dropdown menu from status screen. Can it be added somehow?
Whats the best app for the one plus to switch the data on and off again few on play but some don't work
Thanks
Can anyone assist with this tried everything and not sure if its the ROM or the phone?
Under settings - notification drawer -Select and order tiles
I have five tiles selected. Wifi, Bluetooth, Data connection, Airplane mode and Location. However when I pull down the dropdown menu it has all of them but when no option to turn on data via this?
I have a data toggle app but when messaging to send online easier to turn data on via the status dropdown.
Anyone?
Thanks
If the data toggle in the quick settings isn't working, long press it and you should see a little switch in the top right of the next screen, you can turn it off there.

Yes that's it simple and I could not see it DOH
Thanks
Also third party apps for data switching on/off do not work anymore on Lillipop
The wifi and cellular signal meter icons are missing on my primary user profile. They are shown when logged in as a different user. Is this normal?

This isn't normal, you could try deleting and recreating your profile since it seems to work as a different user or doing a factory reset if you're paranoid about what may have caused the issue in the first place.
Google chat support also suggested a factory reset after safe mode and resetting network settings, so it looks like that's the plan. Just added a user to my 5x and the wifi icons are shown in both profiles.

Those things can be turned on or off in the system ui tuner in settings. You don't see it in settings by default though so unless you've already enabled it you'll have to do that first. Pull down the notification bar so you can see your quick toggles and then press and hold the settings icon at the top right until you see a message about system tuner being enabled. Then go in settings and you'll find it near the bottom. See if they are disabled in there. If not, try toggling them on. If they are already on try toggling them off and then on again and see if that works. If not, maybe try toggling them off, reboot and toggle them back on.

Thanks robocuff!
I had system ui tuner enabled for a while now. Disabled and the icons reappeared. Re-enabled and they are still there, no reboot required. For good measure, I removed the wifi and cellular data tiles, an still have the icons.
It's unfortunate that google support suggests a factory reset when there is a much quicker and less intrusive method to correct this issue.

Glad to hear it worked for you.
Hello guys. Yeasterday I was testing some security lockscreen configuration on my phone and after that, AOD is no working propperly anymore. It doesn´t show the notification icons (gmail, whatsapp, etc) nor the songs I'm listening on spotify.
I figured out that when I change back the lockscreen type from "none" to "pin" or other security method notifications show up again, but it's pretty annoying since I don't require high security to unlock my phone.
Is there a way to get back to where I was? I mean, I had notification perfectly working on AOD with zero secutity measures before.
I tried clearing AOD data from Apps, but the problem remains.
Thanks.
P.S. Stock ROM with Root.
I found the solution. I just have to go to: settings > lockscreen and security > and to allow SWIPE en lockscreen type.
Hey all,
I order to enable the Ambient Clock on OOS 11, the instructions say to go to "Settings > Customization > Clock on Ambient Display"
However, this just crashes the settings (no notifications, but brings me immediately to the base settings).
Anyone else have this problem or know any solution?
Clearing cache on the clock apps do not fix it...

Thanks for your reply. I have rebooted the phone several times. (if you meant factory reset, etc, I am not able to do that right now).
