[Q] Windows Live ID and WP7 - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so I have been wondering how many people here are using a US Windows Live ID and is currently living outside US?
My Windows Live ID (NZ) has been perma-banned recently because I took photos of my girlfriend and I touching. I have forgotten that the auto-upload was on hence all that taken photos went straight to skydrive, but that mobile uploads folder was set to private or "only me" so no one could see it. Still MS banned my account, leaving my zune and xbox profiles untouched.
I was still able to receive emails, but not send, nor share photos to facebook and twitter, and even buy apps and games from marketplace, hence that Live account is totally useless so I deactivated it. I made a new one set in the US so I could get features that I couldnt before with the NZ account, but I accidentally made a new xbox profile so I couldnt transfer my current one to the new one. Now I'm making another new US Live ID even though I live in NZ. I have asked my cousin if I could use their home address so I could put in my credit card details.
The only drawbacks I could think of using a US-based Live ID are the currency, and Local Scout. Currency conversion doesnt bother me. I have paid $11NZD for the ChevronWP7 unlock and that was $9USD. Games in NZ are usually $4.99NZD, but converting them from $2.99USD will cost around same price so its not really a problem to me. Local Scout isnt supported in NZ hence it wont work.
So the whole point of this is, how many here are actually using a US Live ID but not living inside the US?

[Q] How to add a SECOND Windows Live to the Messaging hub?

Hello my xda friends,
Last night I updated to Mango RTM version. Its all working very good.
I synced my Windows Live account with mail and people.
Also the chat is working good thru the Messaging hub.. But only facebo
ok is showing up..
So my question is: How can I add Windows Live accounts to the chat function?
Thanks alot
EDIT:
Some additional information: I have 2 Windows Live account. One for the marketplace (a fake one). This is also the one I add first in the phone.
This is because Zune then sees my fake account so im able to download apps.
After that I add my 'good' account. The problem is, the people from this account are not showing up in the Messaging hub??!!
Sounds excessively complicated to me. I'd just stick to one Live account (I use the one tied to my Xbox Live account, personally).

Click to collapse
Yes I know but as far as I know its the only way to download / install apps from the Marketplace?
I tried a hard reset and entered my normal account first... then the Messaging page IS showing my people BUT as you can guess, I cannot download anything from the marketplace.
So right now its Marketplace VS Messenger....
You can't. The built-in Messenger only uses the primary Live ID. You cannot have it sign-on to multiple Live IDs at once, or use an alternate ID.
It seems to be that the marketplace is already available
At the 23 of august MS finally added the Netherlands to the list!
Finally I can drop my fake account
Thanks for all the answers

[Q] Has anyone not hooked up FB?

Hi I was just wondering if anyone has not hooked up Facebook, Twitter, ect on WP7 or 7.5. Really dont want to look up everyones feeds and pics in FB every cotton picking time I go into people and pics tile, besides saving on data usage of course.
Haven't gotten a phone yet waiting for the Titan(Soon ATT make it SOON).
You don't need to associate your phone with any of those account, there is no need to do so if you don't want to.
Yup, I don't either. I only recently added a Twitter account because of a few contests I entered

[Q] How to buy paid apps in a non supported country

Hi Guys,
My hotmail email ID is linked to my country however every time i try to add a credit card the default country is the UK and i am unable to change that. Any idea how i can get paid apps?
Thanks
Get a new Live ID, and remember to choose your country to US or UK (hotmail.co.uk or something like that).
And apply the new live ID to your phone.
I had this problem also.
I created a new Live ID. I set a random UK address (but real address!). Registered the new ID with my phone (i reset the phone to factory settings)
Then I added my card with the same UK address, even though my card is not registered in UK.
It worked. I managed to even buy an app.
Before this, with my old live account I got an error registering my credit card.

[Q] Use apps with different accounts

I own a Windows Phone, and buy a couple of apps. My wife want my phone so i give it to her one week so she can decide
For this, i hard reset the phone and sart with her Live ID
Is there a way to install the apps that i already buy with my live id, in her live id ?
nope, the apps are tied to your live ID, only way to share apps is to share live IDs...I know it sucks
Technically, they're actually tied to your Gamertag (Zune Tag) which can be transferred between Live accounts with some effort. However, the intended design is very much that apps are purchased for one user.
Of course, she can still use trial and free apps without any problem.

[Q] How to keep marketplace but remove email?

I am going to give my wife my Lumia 900 is there a way I can just delete my Live email from the device so she doesn't have to read my emails, she likes all my apps and I think you are entitled to like 2~3 devices under one Live ID. Is this an option or something that I can only do on my Kindle account
A) There really isn't any way. You could disable the email syncing for the account, but it would still be there in Settings, waiting to be re-enabled.
B) The Windows Live ID (now Microsoft Account) terms of service are very clear on this: you may *not* share your account. While apps may be installed on multiple device under the same account, that's only technically permitted if they are used by the same person (think somebody who reviews phones, or is upgrading from an old one, or something like that). You are supposed to hard-reset the phone and set it up with the new owner's Microsft Account when transferring it.
Of course, attempting to *enforce* those TOS are another matter entirely. The decision is in your hands.
Not a biggie really just thought it would be easier to have useful apps installed, buying the like 5 paid apps is nit a big deal.
