U guys i Just downloaded this ROM toolbox app bc of sassibobs boobs, now it ****ed up my screen resolution, the thing is i uninstalled it, hoping it would be automaticly reset after uninstallation..
It didnt, so i wanted to reinstall and check for the responsible option, but NOW my device doesnt work with that app (thats what the fkn market says now..)
i downloaded "lcd resolution" and busybox, set up the resolution manually but it seems that "lcd resolution" has a cap of 212, is there another app where i can go further ?
And the most important question: whats the default dpi ? isnt it 250 ??
Please u guys need some help here...

Got an app called: "LCDDensity"
the default Density is 240 DPI
hope that helps others..

Woww i almost bricked my phone by installing LCD Density...
My phone was in a reboot loop and didn't do anything anymore.
I had to go in download mode and flash a new ROM with Odin.
So better watch out

Hmm i dont know man, i tried 233, the screen was all blurry and icons and stuff were all too small, after i did 240, it was as sharp as a razor blade and the screen adjustments were fixed..
maybe the stupid ROM toolbox ****ed up few more settings and thats why 240 works fine, but for me 233 is rly not the original size and as I said the status bar icons were all blury and not in the original size (smaller)...

I was able to dl ROM toolbox from the marked, but many slidebars didnt respond and had their own default positions which didnt work (the cpu slieder for example), so after i reboot, i realize that my resoultion is ****ed up, so i uninstall, after next reboot, same ****, i want to reinstall it from thr market..
But now it says that this software doesnt work on my device, how the hell can this happen ? what did the programc hange so i couldnt use it anymore.. ??

Why u wanna change lcd density?
U can use rom toolbox or similar app to mod density, goto build.prop tweak here u can change value.
If u want u can change manually also. Open build.prop in text editor.
And change the value of.

DPI 240 is best for Galaxy R i think, if you want to change it then you need to edit Build.prop file you can try with different densities ......
Go to Build.prop and serch for "ro.sf.lcd_density" and change the value what ever you want and save it....
Yes. .240 is default. .
But 230 will give more contents per page. .
Try 230..

Guys I have this software. when I select 160 temporary DPI it works but when I select it for permanent, it boot & stuck after Galaxy R logo.
Even my Boot logo wont work.
But yes when I edit in build.prop file it boots but wont go to menu..stuck at bootanimations but I m on cm10.1. wiped cache & dalvik cache then it boot well. One question in my mind why the software wont let it boot..??

What did you change in the build.prop? I manually change it all the time and never have any issues. What did you change it to?
Also rom toolbox is amazing for tweaking roms and it allows you to mod build.prop.

I think I changed where it says ro something density and it was around 300? Which I changed to 240 and it didn't work.

It's just changes the size of everything really. But if you put it low enough you can enable tablet mode on some apps. I personally like tablet mode

Hey! Im want to change lcd density to 140 from 160 in Cyanogenmod 9.1 build 11... Everytime I do it, my phone crashes.. Every time I receive or make a phone call it says com.android.process.phone (or something like it) has crashed... Tried apps.. Tried doing myself.. No use.. Any fix?

Yes it will crash when u will change density to 140 and use the phone, some problem occurs in when lcd density is changed to 140, already users have reported, and u can try changing to 145 and check if it works then good and if dont , get back to 160

Yes, it works on stock rom. I tried it this very morning itself. But, you won't like the look of it, anyways.

hi xda when i bought my galaxy fit 18 month ago i remember the quality of color was better than now youtube hq mp4 video hq and many games like nova hq i think that was 32 bit color but now all of that has gone to 16 bit color i think if iam right whats the solution and if i am wrong i was make sure of you .... does the galaxy fit has really 16 bit color or 24 or 32 .... see below image say i mean!!

Disable Chainfire 3D properly. It reduces display quality. So, reset all settings you've done in Chainfire 3D then uninstall its driver via the app only. Ur phone will reboot when the process is completed.

i did uninstall it and flashed stock rom v 2.3.6 and still image and video are very bad i think 16 bit color i know fit has low resolution but a good quality color 32 bit but i think it works now on 16 bit what i should do to rest it to the default gpu adreno 200 setting i did every thing like wibe cach factory rest , recovery , but it didnt work ???
Which gb f/w (e.g. ddkt1, ddkt3,..., etc) you were using b4 all this? You should have flashed that only.
As for me, as soon as I disable Chainfire 3D, my phone display go back to normal. I don't ever have to change rom.

the same rom jpkt4 , baseband kt6 , its the last gb f/w , thats doesnt feel good the color are bad i used to see better than that
and there is many black point on the screen i note that even when i open youtube i can see it any solution

think its not really a software problem(first hint black spots) but rather a hardware one(pixels dying) my suggestion enjoy while you have the phone working well and wait when its so bad that its unbearable might what to have the screen changed as seening that its 18 months so the warenty is now void. it might cost quite a bit(I hear that a screen cost half the devices price).

no u dont know what i mean,,, see ATTACHED THUMBNAILS up here ,,, the color like windows work on 16 bit without the driver setup !!!!

adreno200 is a zip file flashable via recovery. You can find it's link under a.cid's thread "Link to all custom roms, recovery… …" which is an sticky post in Galaxy Fit General Section.

Its kind of resolution changer. Like we do on windows.. U need to root ur device first to make these changes..
After rooting install root browser from play store. Then open it go to system and open build.prop as text editor and search for this command
ro.sf.lcd_density= ( value maybe 240)
If u cant find this command then just add it by ur self and change then set the value to 210. And reboot ur phone.

There are some apps like lcd modifier in play store.. But but u will get a boot loop indeed.. Because they are not stable... Do the steps i said before its working fine.. If u want big screen then bigger the value will be. 240 would be stable. If u want bigger.
