I flashed MIUI 1.11.11 last night and tried to play a video, and no audio. Not the usual tinny audio issue. Just silence. So I have no audio when playing music, video or on phone calls. I got it directly off MIUIAndroid.com's ROM page and obviously grabbed the DHD build. I have flashed an MIUI ROM before but it was from MIUI.us not MIUIAndroid and it was 1.8.x or something or other. So am I missing something? Is this a bug I'm having, or just a problem with the build.
Thanks in advance,
Jason

Have completely the same issue. Not sound at all.
Not ringtones working, no alarm sound working, no music.... just silence all the times.
Reverted back to 1.11.04 and sound returned back - it's definitely 1.11.11 issue.

Same here. Flashed back to 1.11.4 and audio is still fine.
You can still get 1.11.4 in ROM Manager or <blahblah>roms.miui.us/romsnippet.php?device=ace</blahblah>
Hope there's a fix soon!
I am having the same issue. Should have backup before I flashed to 1.11.11. Now I hope the fix comes soon so that I don't have to flash back.
If you flashed the MIUI and it is using the talon ace kernel version 1.1.2 switch to the 1.1.1 version or try lordmods kernel. See if that helps. I don't have the newest miui. But I've heard of this problem

I had the same issue until I found out that when it installs automatically it never cleared my cache... so I cleared it and reinstated the 1. 11. 11 and it works great now... hopefully this helps u out now

I see. I manually cleared cache, dalvik and battery stats the first time. I wonder where we did something differently. conflicting existing apps maybe? perhaps I'll try again later.

When I install the upgrade zip, I did manually clear cache, but I still got this problem.
Now I'm trying to flash back to order version, but I can't find the rom for inspire4g or desireHD on MIUI website now (did they remove it temporarily?)
I'm having the same problem, I went back and wiped the dalvik and the cache but it still doesn't work. I'm going back to another rom for the time being until this is fixed.
I'm sorry I also install the lordmod miui 8.1 kernel... try that it maybe that which fixed my issue

Same here. I flashed 1.11.11 and it broke the audio on my Inspire 4G.
I flashed LordMod kernel 8.2 CFS (which I had not been using previously) and audio is working now.
kernel download here, be sure to follow MIUI instructions right below download link:

I switched to MIUI a few days days ago, and I've been loving it so far. But I have been having a couple of issues.
Every so often my phone restarts for no reason. Sometimes when I'm in the settings application. Other times when I'm playing music. Regardless which music app I'm using, it'll restart my phone after 15-20 minutes.
My other issue is that my phone thinks its a Desire HD. is there a way to change
that? I can't access certain apps in the market because of that.
Thanks in advance.
I would try reflashing the rom. What kernal are you using with the rom and which version of MIUI? There is a discussion somewhere in the MIUI thread about changing the description in the build.prop file to make it show as an Inspire
I'm running miui 1.7.23. Not sure which kernel, probably the stock one. I haven't really read anything about the differences or why one is better than another.

It sounds like a bad rom flash. I would wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache. Then I would reload the rom. The stock kernal that comes with the latest rom needs to be updated with the latest Lordmod kern but it should not cause the problems you are having.
Has anybody else had the Dialer show up in Spare Parts under "Partial wake usage"? It seems to be keeping the Nexus awake. This has only happened since flashing the latest nightly of CM7 and Matr1x 5.5 kernel.
I might just wipe and reflash, but I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this.
Its normal. Aosp thing I'm thinking...
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
It only started showing up with the latest flashes, though. For the past month of using CM7 and various kernels, I would never have the problem with the dialer.
I'm on the same settings with no dialer issue...
Its the proximity sensor in call and it's normal, I'm telling ya. There's a whole thread in the evolution section about it

So far, after wiping cache and Dalvik and reflashing the Matr1x 5.5 CFS, it seems to be behaving.
Perhaps something just went bad in the original flash.
Make a few phone calls and see if it changes

No questions in development. Thread moved and closed.
Hey guys I just wanted to ask and see if any of you guys had a fix for this problem. I flashed MIUI and I really really liked it, except that I did not have any sound on it.
Before you yell at me for "not looking in the forums", I will tell you that I have. I looked in the forums and I saw a thread that had a supposed audio fix for Desire HD ROMS on the Inspire. I flashed this though, and when I rebooted my phone it wouldn't go past the splash screen so I had to restore back to my stock ROM.
PLEASE HELP because I would really like to put MIUI on my Inspire.
Thanks
**Running Stock ROM on my Rooted Inspire running GB 2.3.3
You need to flash Lord's 8.2 kernel...and yes it is in the forums because thats how I know. I used one of the MIUI builds from the Desire HD forum. There are several builds there and don't remember exactly which one I used, head over there and do some snooping. You'll find it.
I've found that TalonACE MIUI also works (Kernel-wise). Flash the latest TalonAce MIUI kernel, and your set.
Gonna try flashing Lordsmod, saw that on their page they say that it works well with MIUI.
BTW though could someone please explain to me what the difference between LordMod and TalonAce is and what does flashing a different Kernel do for me?
Then I would like to know that if I end up not liking MIUI with LordKernel could I restore my phone back to the way it was before without LordKernel using ROM Manager or would the Kernel stay and just the ROM change?
Flashed LordMod, still no sound
Im using an older miui (1.10.28) because I had sound issue before and couldn't fix. It has lordmod 8.1 kernel and sound is fine. I flashed 8.5 and had no sound. So I flashed back to 8.1
I just need to find the tinny audio fix

Glad it worked!
With T-Mobile Finally releasing their ICS update I'm going to try to see if I can get this working on AOSP.
bigmeow Has already updated the RILs in his patch.
I'm going to update my patches and hopefully get some more look into AOSP
(Removing the current patches until I get them updated)
Still having crashes during mid-call. I'm looking into the problem!
I've finally discovered why the wi-fi calling wasn't working on ICS roms and I've seemed to have fixed it. (Verified on HyperNonSensev2.0, OnceICSv1.0.7a and ARHD6.0.1/6.0.2)
It seems that mike1986 and I had the same idea except I apparently was a couple days behind on mine... No infringement on his patch was taken on this. Patches between mike1986 and I are mostly identical
Amazingly easy to enable too...
Changelog: Added AOSP support
V1.0.2 (special thanks to OhioDroid80 for being a lab rat for me.)
Fixed errors in updater-script causing nothing to be copied over
Fixed error in script.sh cause build.prop to not be edited properly
Added missing ril.so from v1 that was forgotten in v1.0.1
Instructions are still the same as V1.0.1
V1.0.1
Added script.sh so you don't have to manually edit your build.prop (Thanks Mike1986 for the knowledge on that)
Step 1. Flash wificall_patchV1.0.1.zip
Step 2. Reboot
Step 3. Enable wifi-calling
V1.0.0
Step 1. Add ro.ril.enable.ganlite=1 to your build.prop
Step 2. Flash Wificall_patchv1.zip
Step 4. Reboot
Step 3. Enable and Enjoy wi-fi calling on ICS
Don't forget to hit the thanks button if this works for you!

Mike, I tried yours and I lost all signal with my SIM. Seems like the libril.so that is included in yours caused the issue. I didn't include a build.prop nor a libril.so in mine as to make the mod available to all those that want to use the T-Mobile WiFi calling not specific for each Rom. I saw yours before I made mine and the signal lose is what made me remake it.

Sorry I was wrong... I was referring to xboarders I didn't even see yours posted. Sorry if I did something wrong...
I was just comparing our 2 versions and I've learned from you how to fix the build.prop without manually changing it. I would like to update my patch but I don't want to infringe on what you have already done... I will update mine and leave it here. The only other difference I saw in our two was that I include libreference-ril.so...

Even with HNS 2.3.5 I would have wifi calling crash during the first call made once I connected, but after that it was fine until I dropped off wifi and connected back again.
I just did a nandroid and I'm loading the new rom now. Do you think I will have a problem with the new ICS kernal that is out for ICS with your patch?

Whats the new rom you are trying it on?
I can't seem to find any roms that fix the Cm7 no GPS issue.
I tried this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1250226
after I installed it onto my Inspire, my phone just white screened. I uninstalled and recovered from my back up.
It's not a major thing to have GPS, it's just easier when getting directions in L.A.
Does anyone have the ROM everyone else seems to use? Whenever I find an old thread that links to it, the link is dead.
Thanks.

Are you using a stable rom or nightly? Which version of CM7 and did you get it from the cyanogenmod website? Did any other rom (including stock) have issues with GPS?
Perhaps downloading the rom again and installing it might do the trick.
Have you tried installing the GPS audio fix file for inspire.it worked for me.Also you should try cm9.it's working very well for me.

I have been using this, and it seem to work for me with any ROM.
