Hi eveybody! I was wondering if you can help me with my problem. I tried flashing Cyanogenmod on to my Sensation and it wouldn't read the Sim card. It shows me no contacts at all on the Sim although I know they are there. Tried to import them and it says there's no contact on the Sim. Then I flashed Miui but there was still Sim card issues.
This only happens with Miui and CM. All the Sense based ROMs don't have Sim card issues.
Can somebody please help me!

hello,
i have flashed my sgs2 from android 2.3.4 to 4.0.3 and after reboot my sim was not recognized.
eventualy i rooted my sgs2, i have miui on my phone the sim is recognized, but if i install 4.0.3 rom it doesen't mather witch one, my sim is still not recognized.
can someone help.

I agree with the post above me. I would also check to make sure that your network settings are correct for your sim as well.

with the original rom works, it works with miui and cyagenmode to... but i was wondering what to do to fix this with ics... i hope it will work with cm9...
Just carefully read the list of does/does not work for each ROM that you want to flash onto your device. Maybe the sim card doesn't work for that version. Most ICS ROMs are unstable right now and should be installed with caution.

After changing the rom from stock to custom rom of my lg optimus 3d my phone dosent read sim.
I was using gingerbred 2.3.5 then i change to ThiZo3d rom when i install it every thing was working fine but there was no network. In Lockscreen No sim card insert also in the notification bar there was X logo in network.
I also make backup of my stockrom but there was no signal and also make a factory reset too plz help i might miss something its my first time of changing to custom rom plz help.

go back to thiaiz and install the proper kernel. this works fine for me. im a p925g guy, and i had similar issues. it's not the end of the world

First try to remove the sim card and clean it and insert back, if that does not solve the problem try with latest radio that matches your country, or the software no.
which rom are you in? you can try and find out in that thread if others got the same problem.
Installed this from this thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2379981 and love it but it's a total shame I have to try and find something else as it wont find any of my contacts either on the sim or via Google in fact there is no way of importing from Google.
Seems like most of the custom roms on this forum these days wont read contacts from sim especially the KitKat roms it's Weard because stock roms do well stock 4.1.2 roms do not tried KitKat as its uncompatible.
Shame because the above ROM is the best I have found that uses 4.1.2 for my GT-I8160
Same on CM10 wont find my contacts on the sim, put the sim in a stock 4.1.2 phone and guess what all my sim contacts are there
Hello everyone, I was using various roms on my ferrari in the past, but I needed to use both sim cards and there weren't roms that supported turning on / off a single sim card so I reverted back on stock miui. What is the situation now? Are the current cyanogen or other roms supporting this feature now?
