Oc daemon arhd 1.4 - HTC Sensation

Hi I have a question about the o/c daemon coz i made my phone like this
Wake state setting
Wake min- 38400
Wake max- 153600
Sleep setting
Sleep min - 19200
Sleep max - 38400
Is this okay??
After installing the arhd 1.4 do i need to touch the oc daemon??

I'm assuming you mean ARHD 4.1.6?
I'm not entirely sure I understand your question but those settings look ok.
In any case using OC daemon you can change the clock speed on the fly
Hope this helps

Thanks! What im saying to my 2nd question is After flashing the ARHD 1.4.6 the O/C daemon comes with the package right? So heres my point do i need to touch the oc daemon just to make it work? I mean like pressing the apply button? Or leave it as is??

Again: ARHD 4.1.6
Ah makes sense! when you open the app if the clock settings show the same values as those in your 1st post then no, you don't have to hit the Apply button again.
Although you can always change the clock speed to a new value and then change it back again

Thx.

Hi,
I have ARHD 4.1.6, with Faux's latest kernel.
Do you still have the kernel that was supplied with the ROM?
I think it was 0.2.3.r.
This will probably cause you problems with excessive battery drain.
When/if it does, download the 0.2.4.r kernel from my sig.
Place the kernel on the root of your sd card.
Go into recovery,
Make a nandroid backup,
wipe cache partition and dalvik,
install the kernel,like a ROM ,
reboot.
Then go into Daemon Controller.
Set the maximum and minimum frequency to your desired settings(192000 min,1512000 max is good)
set the governor to "intellidemand " in the drop down menu,
press bypass and apply.
Job done.
No need to ever worry about it again.

Hi,
The sleep state is taken care of by the Intellidemand governor.
That's the point.
Once you set it up as I said ,it will do all the work for you.

Does SetCpu overclocking work on both cores?

I use the SetCPU on the HTC Sensation 4G, it looks like it only scaling the cpu0. I am overclocking it to 1.5GHz but when I query the cpu frequency I don't see it on cpu1.
can somebody run the fallowing lines on adb shell to see if the scaling works for you?
Code:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq
cpu0 gives 1512000 for me but cpu1 gives 1188000
ps cpu1 goes idle and this file becomes unavaliable, I run linpack run multi-thread just before I query the cpu1.

How did you even get the Setcpu to recognize the sensation's 1.2ghz? How did you detect the device?!

Custom kernel but setcpu definitely isn't working right with them either. Still not 100% compatible with our asynchronous cpu.

I have a custom kernel that supports 1.8ghz. but setcpu only allows 998 to be the maximum when i click nexus one/snapdragon. I don't know what other options i have.
If you have a custom kernel that supports it (most do i think) setcpu should have an option to autodetect. You shouldn't have to select a device. If autodetect isn't available try uninstalling setcpu and reinstalling it. None of the device selections will work for us because our device/chipset isn't supported for manual selection (yet).
If You're using a custom kernel then delete set cpu and use an OC Daemon like the Virtuous Daemon with Unity Kernel or user Android Rev HD and Mike's OC Daemon with any compatible custom kernel -- which depends on if you're using a 2.3.3 or a 2.3.4 ROM.
How that helps d0oD

How easy is it to employ the OC Daemon and a kernal for it? Is it something we can just DL to out SD card?
Yes Dude, just flash a custom rom. If you're on a 2.3.3 based rom there's plenty of custom kernels and if you're on a 2.3.4 based rom just flash The Unity V6 or V7 kernel which should come with the virtuous OVERCLOCK Daemon included as part of the flashable.zip that you can find in the Leedroid ROM's thread in development.

Unity V5 on Senseless 1.3
I found this out before SOFF with the kernel module insmod. Even with the virtusous_oc demon, it still not working. I'm using 2.3.4 kernel with smartass, I wonder if that works on second core.

I just checked with insert coin 2.3.4 rom scaling governor of the cpu0 is smartass and governor of cpu1 is ondemand. I guess that does not work either.

Come on we need further testing, need to know the KERNEL, ROM, and what app you are using to control the CPU. CF-Bench is a longer test that stresses both cores.
If you look a the thread with Faux this is an issue with the ROMs or the OC apps, not the CPU, which the CPU in the phone is one of the only ones with an ASYMMETRIC CPU, meaning that the cores do not sync or lock to one another.
I am using set cpu with the unity v7 kernel and it works fine I am over clocked to 1.7ghz at full, when battery gets low goes down to 700mhz, when screen off about 500 mhz
when using stock kernal I used a manual settings using setCPU.txt obv cant over clock it but could under volt it to save battery when screen was off... if anybody wants my set cpu profile (txt file) I still have it floating about
you know what here is the file
place the file on the root of your sd card and in set cpu select manful from the device list.
remember stock kernel = no overclock but happy under clocking

Ok you can't apparently pay attention to the point of this thread, all CPU apps, CPU Master, SetCPU, Virtuous Overclock all are able to overclock my CPU with the custom kernels, the problem is not me being able to overclock or not, its been tested by me many times with other kernels as well, and the OP that the Second Core is not sync and also not being modified by the governor as well. So all the CPU apps are only controlling the single core.
Does anybody tried CPU Master ? I think it's the OC utility that coredroid ROM suggest...

SetCPU settings

Hey guys , I have the Rogers i727r. Just rooted it last night... vanilla rom which came with the phone got myself titanium backup pro and setcpu. Can someone please advise on best setcpu settings for longer battery life. Thanks for your time.
I do min at 192 and Max at 1.35 undevolted by 50 accross the board and get pretty good battery life

Search the development section for a kernel made by faux123, and download the 010m. If you've only rooted, in the same section there's a sticky explaining how to use odin, and flash cwm. Once u have cwm flash the kernel, and install an app called fauxclock, and uninstall setcpu. Use the recommended min
192 max 1350 with ondemand. Under voltage tabset phone to -10 mV. If it resets, change it to -75. Use it for a couple hours. Once stable select "set on boot". Enjoy!
And why do you recommend this particular method you outlined opposed to just using set CPU on vanilla rom for these settings?

Have you tried doing it with Kernel Tuner or System Tuner by 3C?
Which kernel are you using?
Using frankenstines default kernel that comes in the nov13 build of aokp - that's what I am running.
Yea tried it with rom toolbox and still same problem!

Try this:
Reboot in CWM/4ext.
Wipe cache, davilk, system, boot. (It's not a full wipe)
Reinstall rom, gapps and everything you modified on /system partition.
Download and install Kernel Tuner and set the frequency.
You have to go in the app's settings and activate "Restore settings on boot" with one of 2 choices.
I'm having this same issue -- I've tried full wipes and factory resets as well as reflashing the ROM (KANG CM 10.1) and the kernel (Sultan r19.5) but the issue of both clock speeds sticking at 384Mhz persists. It's becoming nearly impossible to use the phone when it runs at speeds like these, does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Check all 3rd party apps.. Which can modify th. CPU
First and foremost do this... Clear data of superuser/superSU in settings-all
Then go to su app and make the default prompt.. Deny
At least that would take phone to default CPU speed
Also you need to check the init.d scripts (in /etc/init.d)

I completed all of those things but I'm still having the same issue -- when I set the maximum CPU speed in the performance tab of settings, the CPU speed will briefly go to the value I select and almost immediately return to 384 MHz.
Sorry to bump this, but has anyone else ever even experienced this?
