CM7 for T-Mobiles is Coming Soon-ish - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

It's great news to see TMO's GS2 ROMs work great with the Skyrocket. Now it's only a matter of time until CM7 releases an official ROM.
CM7 for T-Mobile GS2
Until this is released, anyone suggest other ROMs I should try. CM7 is the only ROM I have experience with.
Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up. Would be great to get CM7 working on the Skyrocket and I hope this leads to that direction.

The lead dev / originator of CM is a lead programmer w Samsung guys this has already been considered I feel

CyanogenMOD for InFuSe

As i stated earlier in another thread, i have a 2nd possibly soon a 3rd INFUSE to be donated for ROM development (of MY choice - prolly yours too). I wanted to send one to a MIUI dev and later found out that Cyanogen comes first on the food chain, without Cyanogen there would be NO MIUI (Well there might be MIUI but it would prolly be SENSE: ewwww)
Anyway, i have contacted CyanogenMOD to find out: a) if they have interest in building CM for InFuSe. b) if so, where can i overnight the device for them to fondle with ...
Um, Let there be CyanogenMod for InFuSe ?!?!?
Anyone really interested or am i just wasting my time?
Cyanofuse?
Infusogen?

ICS Ported to Captivate

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324831
It's works pretty well for it's early stage. I have it on a Captivate now and it does have some functionality. No camera, GPS seems borked, but 3G and WiFi do function. Things are looking up folks. We may actually see some Ice Cream on our phones! The Movie Studio doesn't work (for me at least, not sure about others), but it's a welcome feature once fixed. Something Android has been missing since the start. This could prolly be Hellraised, but I'd wait until more kinks are worked out. It's very Alpha at this point.
If all these other phones are getting ics ported b4 us then hope might as well be lost We don't have as much dev interest as all these other phones do.

Well, if we wait for the cappy or i9000 to get it first, basicly our infuses is the same device, just bigger and a tiny bit different. Then linux could probably port it pretty easily.
Wow!
That was fast. Infuse Kids....I think we're gonna see ICS before AT&T blesses GB!
And that would be a shame. I'm very excited. I'd love to try this out on my wife's Cappy for a spin. Will a nandroid backup successfully restore the custom GB Rom she's rocking now if I flash ICS?
WTF my old phone gets ICS before my current newer phone. I hope we get something soon.
I tried messing with it today changing the boot.img and some egl and lib files...havent got it to boot yet....im thinking we r gonna need a kernel with modified mtd partitions before we get a patially working port..

And this doesn't really mean ICS for us any more than the I9000 port did.
Regardless, I have some time off finally, so I'm working on something.

It could be ported for sure, there's a few dual phones on their site such as the htc inspire and htc desire. I'm just happy that they PLAN on the t989. They seem pretty hush hush. If you could get some more information from your Dev friend that would be awesome. I'm not digging for an eta or status update, just would like a skyrocket confirmation etc.

Lol yeah, CM9 for Aria is amazingly stable as well. I'm hoping to sell it and buy an Atrix instead for a backup phone, though...
But back on topic. Is this CM9 or CM7 they're working on? I wouldn't mind CM7... it would make the MIUI porting process hundreds of times easier... CM9 would be nice too though.

RE: Best ROM
True enough, they are all great! but for a noob who flashed all the roms the least buggiest so far is SKY ICS--- 4.2D-10 for me anyways.
Again there are different flavors to choose from and it also depends on what you use on your phone. Some bugs may show up days later.

All these guys are right cause there really is no right or wrong answer to your question. When it comes to custom roms its all about personal preference. What someone else really loves you may find out you don't like. So my advice is become a flashaholic like most of us here are and start flashing until you find that perfect custom rom that fits your needs and wants. Just remember to make a backup of your current rom before you start flashing anything that way you can always go back to what you have now. Oh and just so you will know design gears is about to release a new ics leak for the skyrocket soon according to his twitter account so you may want to wait and see what that is all about and the I'm sure plenty of custom roms will be based off of it soon as well... happy flashing...

It would probably be better to be more specific. A better question would be "which are roms are the most stable" or "which roms are the fastest" or maybe "Which rom has the most features?"
I personally am also trying to decide which rom to go with. I have a friend who owns a Skyrocket and he wants me to root the phone then flash a custom rom, so I'm looking into this. I think I'll probably flash Nexus Mod just because it looks like AOSP. Like many others, it has carrier IQ disabled and has been debloated.

+1 to sky ics for stability (iv flashed the aosp apps patch) it was giving me fc's on other roms but none on this one
nexusmod ics was good but the rom seems to start facing issues after a week of use (might be user error but others were also experiencing this) and also the rom has no further development as MOD has been bricked and has also moved to cm9.
AOKP - great rom that has just surfaced with some solid devs at work still has a few minor issues but this one will become a gem
cm9 - same as above, great dev support but it still has a few minor kinks to be worked out
The above post is right especially about cm and aokp
CM9 Skyrocket
The newish Slim ICS ROM is pretty good too. Gives you some AOSP apps and seems pretty stable and super snappy for me so far. But as others have said, just look at some of the ones with higher traffic and more recent posts and see what you like. Embryo is a nice one i you want a more stock exoerience. Dev is super responsive too. With the new leak and impending (hopefully) official release, they'll all be rebased anyway. TiBu Pro and nandroid are your friends.

Most Stable Thunderbolt ROM?

What is the most stable, rock solid, just plain works ROM for the t-bolt?
I have a co-worker that bought one used, it had thundershed 1.5 on it, and he wanted something different so we put NuSense ICS on it, it was cool at first, but after 5 days with it, it was horrible, slow, laggy, he had some other issues, excessive battery drain. He read that Mik Roms were good, so we put Mikrummy gingerbread on there....it seems to be more stable the NuSense, but he is still haveing some random reboots etc...
So what is the bottom line, no issues, everyday ROM....in your opinion?
thanks,
Justin

SFK's CM7 is a great rom. It includes the CM version of ADW launcher and works well. RomZOMBIE was also thundershed 1.6 based and a solid rom overall, though the theming was never finished. For the record, they're both CM kangers, but both (at least recently) credit cyanogenmod, so... Either dev's allegations against the other are irrelevant IMO.
