I can't answer about doing searches thru tapatalk--don't use it. But I can tell you that I know of no Roms that are currently compatable with fourG. I think the developers are waiting for Ice Cream Sandwich to drop, and then you will get roms.

I've seen plenty of these in the market section. But what does that mean. I've looked in the stickies and no luck. I kind of have an idea but I'm looking for a definite answer. Kind of a dumb question but I don't spend too much time in that area of the forum.

TapaTalk is a Forum App. It lets you surf different Forums a easier .
Its a really simple app to view forums. If you read a few forums that support it, its well worth getting. It only shows exactly what you need to see so its really easy to browse with.

The best ROM I have used for your requirements if Cyanogen Mod 7 . My battery life is around 24 hours of moderate usage. I am overclocked to 1.8 gHZ and it's very smooth.

Guys thanks a bunch!
The other two guys, take a long walk down a short pier. This happens to be a Q&A forum...so technically I'm in the right. Had I posted this in say...the DEV forum I could see a little animosity. However being in the q&a forum all I see are a couple of trolls. This isn't my first rodeo, it just happens to be my first HTC.
You guys are the reason people don't want to root, god forbid they be looking for a little support from a community that does nothing but hack android software and their specific phones no less.
Let the mod take this thread out. I've gotten the information I was looking for no thanks to the trolls.

While you're absolutely correct in posting this thread in the correct forum, literally everything you have asked for has been covered in numerous threads before. I'll apologize for everyone for why we get a little up front with threads like these since we see at least 2 every week. I'm glad this isn't new to you, but before you get angry please look at the rules you agreed to when you signed up for XDA. This is a dev. site first and foremost and some leg work is expected on your part. Searching is something you agreed to do before posting a new thread and if you did so you would have found every answer you needed.
Bacon, you can become the official XDA librarian. Users can request features and you will sift through the books (roms) and send them what they want!

New Mods...please consider closing. We really don't need any more which roms are better type threads.
To everyone else, please just read each Rom description and try them out for yourself. Everyone will like different things.

Read Read Read. When you think you are confident enough to flash stop read some more. Im not going to link the threads it is up to you to find them, if you want ICS bad enough you can search around.
There's a development thread, that has everything you need

And guides set up all over the place, read the entire thread too.... all of it, because odds are any problems you run into have already been inquired about and you can more than likely find the answers you need.
If you don't like that then send it to me with idk let's say 40 bucks and I'll do it good luck read read read its all there.

I tired to give a proper answer but we always have people that need to add. IMO if you need to ask how to then you need to read read read. Then read some more. Im not going to link to those threads or even tell where to find it. If you want the latest greatest for your phone you need to spend some time figuring out how to get it.

Instructions are in the 3rd post, though I recommend reading the prior two as well.
As a few people have mentioned before, search before you open a new thread about something that has a lot of documentation already.
FBis251 has set up some great wiki pages that have a FAQ section, start with that and they have links that will eventually get you to your answer.

So much win all over this thread.
No, the Skyrocket is a variant of the GS2 platform for AT&T. If you use Skyrocket files on a base GS2, you will turn your phone into a paperweight. Google "Galaxy S2 XDA" and you'll see the right forums. Ask in the Q&A over there (not development) and people will be able to help you. Over here, you'll just get flamed for all this win.
And posting in q&a takes so long because nobody has the answer or want you to SEARCH mostly the latter. This thread in every way is not allowed in any of our sections

Ok, if you don't even know what kind of phone you have, you really shouldn't be trying to flash things lol
Sorry dude, not trying to be mean, just trying to save you from bricking yourself because you have no idea what you're doing.
Wow... I thought I'd use the skyrocket to reply to this one dude, I've been flashing phones since 2007, forgive me for calling it a gs2, but the skyrocket is a gs2 also, and if you look at the bottom of this msg it will now read the device that I'm using... but thanks for your input, no offence taking

Lol say the skyrocket is a gs2 to 777 owners. The differences are staggering but as far as radios there is no best radio it's something you have to test for yourself and your specific area
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
I agree on both your points here, and I've tried several radios even on the fly as I drove between Atlanta and Florida to see what gives the best signal in various locations.... just figured I'd post that question among the developers for a quick response, didn't expect so much wind... but just so you know I'm not exactly a noob, and I've been trying.... and secondly, the gs2 comes in a few different configurations that I'm aware of, but the radios for the most part flash over various ROMS, and can vary significantly from area to area..... also I've actually notices a difference using a different APN setting using a particular radio (selecting tmobile, straight talk or simple mobile) giving different signal strength and reception. I'm crazy, I know
