[Q] Installing Certificate for Citrix Receiver - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys...
I need your help... I have been trying to install my CA Certificate so i can use it for XenApp Hosted Applications.
After 3 hours of struggling & trying to get my Xoom to recognize the Certificate i finally got it working by changing the .cer file to .crt & changing it from .pfx to .p12
& placing it on the mnt/sdcard/
So after it was recognized i was jumping with joy and started Citrix Receiver and logged in on my domain & started an app.. but i still get the same certificate error The error is "An Error has occured while making an SSL Connection to Xenapp. Please contact your Xenapp Administrator"
Please help.

I've given up trying to set up citrix directly through the app. I get authentication errors and certificate errors no matter what variation i use.
People that use ipads have no problems so I've concluded its just a matter of the amount of access/device types that have been granted by the admins.
Something that does work for me though: When I open my companies web access portal through firefox it downloads an .ica file that opens in the citrix app. I've tried other browswers including the stock browser, dolphin for pad, and others that don't work correctly but firefox does.

I am the Admin & I myself have setup the Citrix XenApp Server, and i know this for sure that Mobile Devices are fully allowed.
Even if we get the .ica via firefox are we able to run it & run the hosted apps? on the stock / dolpin hd browser it doesn't work nothing happens if you click on the apps icon.

thats what I meant. Getting the .ica via firefox is the only way i can get the citrix app to launch stuff.

Mobile IE and trouble logging in to websites

Hey,
I've been using a Pocket PC a bit recently (two, actually) and am having problems logging into various websites.
First, I had problems using an HTC TyTn logging into Facebook. Basically, it would always fail, but underneath the fail screen Facebook had a link, "Trouble logging in, try HTTP Login", which would work.
I also experienced the same thing on Evernote using Internet Explorer. Whatever I do I cannot login to http://m.evernote.com. (They don't provide an alternative login). The only thing I can do is use Opera.
I wrote this off as something wrong with my particular device, but I'm not seeing exactly the same thing on the HP iPAQ 614c.
Does anyone know what is going on here?
I've got cookies all installed. I've also changed my passwords to be really simple, and I've entered them on the keyboard so I can see exactly what I'm typing, I know I'm typing the right password.
Cookies are also all enabled.
Does anyone know what Facebook's "HTTP Login" method is an alternative to?
try opera mobile 9.5

[Q] Save Login Credentials for WiFi Splash Page

Hi, my university (California State University, Long Beach in case you know it) has a splash page (BeachNet) for its campus-wide WiFi network. The page requires you to log in and prevents you from saving the username and password via (I'm guessing here) autocomplete=off.
Is there a way to get around this limitation via the Android Browser (or any other browser)? The page does not have to stay open, you must just login once. Disconnecting and reconnecting even works w/o re-entering credentials.
Does anyone know how to force the browser to save log-in information?
Edit: Being able to open the page, it's basically something like secure.arubanetworks.com/login.cgi&ip=10.0.0.0&mac=4d:7e etc. So it looks like the mac address and ip address are used as part of the URL identifier. I suppose that this would mean the browser would see them as separate pages. Hope this helps!
Check out firefox beta for (i guess) android?
It supports saving account + password. Works very well for me.
it didn't show up in the market (do i need a market hack/fix?), so i got the latest Fennec build from Mozilla FTP. Unfortunately, that didn't work.

[Q] Not Trusted Server Certificate error

On my stock Viewsonic G, I have recently been getting a "Not Trusted Server Certificate" error that keeps me from accessing the Amazon market, gReader and Zinio in the Readers Hub.
Same problem on two different wifi systems I tried it on.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Just press the "Continue" button.
My g-tab does the same thing.
Sent from my VEGAn-TAB-v1.0.0b5.1.1 using XDA Premium App
Continue works on the browser, but isn't an option in the Amazon market, gReader and Zinio
Two suggestions:
Find the certificate you need and then try http://www.realmb.com/droidCert/
Otherwise (only for rooted device though) you could: copy the existing keystore from system\etc\security to your PC; install an app called Portecle on your PC; use it to add the certificate to your keystore; and then copy the keystore back onto your tab.

Lollipop requires a third party browser for Wifi login through a webpage(non-https)?

I have summarized this bug in a video here.

The reason is that you are a) using Wifi that requires an HTTP type of authentication via browser like ones you find in Hotels, Coffee shops, etc. and b) the reason it works on an external browser besides Chrome because updated Chrome has SSL validation checks to disable certain types of SSL certificates that certain sites uses. Other browser might not have the same security validation checks, therefore, it loads the page ok.

I agree the problem is due to SSL validation in Chrome. But there must be a way to "trust" certain websites or a workaround in Chrome that allows you to continue to the website anyway.
If you noticed in the video, when you try to login from Settings-> Wifi directly, that's impossible to do, as well. I witnessed something similar in Kitkat. I remember I had issues logging in to the same Wi-Fi with KK . But I was able to hit "Proceed anyway" in Chrome and was able to login.
Hypothetically, if you don't have a third party browser installed and you want to login to a hotel wifi, you can't ?

How can I isolate my android from my desktop PC and continue to use chrome on each ?

I have saved usernames and passwords for various websites on the desktop (Windows) PC, for my convenience via Google Chrome. I have several android devices (phones) which are able to access these saved passwords since they are linked together. I want to save these passwords to my PC only. And restrict some from my androids, ie. banks, brokerage houses, Amazon and pay-pal. Now, if I have mobile apps associated with these sites, I can block the passwords and usernames. But, a search via google for the website login page (by-passing the app) will display my username and password. Although the password is not visible, it's still there and allows access to my account. I'm not sure if anyone would know what to look for if my cell was lost or stolen, but it's still unnerving to think it could possibly happen. So, I am searching for a way to segregate my PC from my androids, and still be able to use Crome on all. A Google search gets me answers to all imaginable questions, except for the one I ask. Maybe, I just don't know how to form the question to where Google can understand it.
You should be able to sign out on the other devices.

Create an alternate Gmail address to use on the androids and don't use that Gmail on PC.
Or
Have you tried signing out of chrome browser on the androids and set it to not remember your username and password?
