[EC05 Modem] From DI18 ONLY. Flash with CW

Here is the EC05 Modem in .zip format. Load onto your SD card and flash with ClockWork..... This is for DI18......
I flashed this while on rooted DI18 and it updated the modem fine. It appears to ONLY work if your on DI18. Some Smarter will have to step in to fix that.....

This OTA release appears to be DI18 to EC05 ONLY.... Which makes me wonder what Sprint intends to do for those on EB13.........

I used odin to go back to DI18 and then used the update.zip to go to EC05. Why is everyone saying it's the vanilla launcher? I have touchwiz...

My bad, posted in the wrong thread...In one of the other threads, they were saying that EC05 didn't have touchwiz and it was the vanilla launcher. But that is just when you choose Sprint ID...sorry about that!

The EB13 might get gingerbread
But im on EC05 now so bring on the roms for it!!!!!!

if im running Bonsai 4.0.0 (or MnightROM 5.0) , should i still grab the update once its out for eb13? i used your procedure and got the ec05 modem running already. just confused about if i need this update or not

It's the same thing. Just flashable if your on DI18. Thats all. If you already have it then you don't need to do it again.

[Odin]Stock EF02 with CWM 3.1.0.1/Root/Busybox 1.18.4

First of all thanks to samfirmware and noobnl for his post in the general section. I just made a odin file from the files he posted plus I added Busybox. Odin this to get stock EF02 with the purple CWM 3.1.0.1, root and Busybox 1.18.4. If you can put up mirrors that would be great.

Will you lose service and if after this ODIN'ed can you just go back into CWM and go back to whatevver if we have a back-up there like i went back to ACS SRF 1.1.1 EXT4 EC05 i have back-up so if i choose to do this i can go back right?
I mean should able to but i'm curious because This is RFS where i'm on EXT4

I do believe the new version of CWM allows you to restore EXT4 backups to RFS, as would need be the case here. I don't know from personal experience, but this is what I've read a few times around here so you should be good to go on that front.

Heres the problem Crawrj is the only one with the file so he's already uploading it to dropbox so we cant do anything about it.
Untill he's done then someone can do it i cant right now because i have people using internet and that will fu*k it slow

Yeah that works fine. I am trying to build it into the tar so you can flash this and get cwm and root without doing anything else.

That is correct.

I got a question...what is the advantages of having vs not having bootloaders in the ROM? Is there any difference at all?
EDIT: Unlocking/Removing the bootloader allows you to install custom Firmware on your Android phone.

First off thanx to flak0, Don and a few others that were into this also jface very nice job, now if u guys want this go over to development u know where to find it, flak0 thread, the lg cam doesn't work on cm. Enjoy it works and it is sweet lol funny how these guys did what LG couldn't do! Oh u will find it on last page op didn't update yet

Flashed and is working great!!! Stock GB then rooted with xboarders Stock GB rom = 100% solid.... at least for me.

How do I root so I can flash it? I updated through kdz for my gingerbread and I have no clue on how to root

nvflash recovery and then flash the camera app but if you want root then flash my build too.

The error is a spoof, just reboot, it installed.
With that said, anyone else have screen dim when loading the new LG Camera. When I pull battery and reboot the dimmed screen goes away, any other work around, as I hate pulling the damn battery.

Is there an easy way to root the official OTA? I want to remove some bloatware and flash the LG cam. The reason I'm on the stock official is because of the baseband which made a huge difference for me (and as far as I know, there's no other way to get it)

hmm.... It gets stuck at step 5...

See post 4 above. Xboarder provider rooted v21e OTA, you can flash over the LG update. It will preserve the baseband. Then simply flash the LG Camera.
Xboarder also provided a bloat remover.zip that you can apply that removes all the TMobile bloat. It could not be simpler.

If I understand correctly, this will replace the Gingerbread camera with the Froyo camera. It doesn't sound like it's possible to have both on the phone at the same time -- is that right?
The reason I ask is that I'm really much happier with the way the Gingerbread camera works with the flash; the Froyo camera generally overexposed nearby things, but the new camera does a good job of regulating the flash and shutter. I'd like to have all the bells and whistles (that I haven't needed yet but might be handy someday) from the Froyo camera, but I'm not willing to sacrifice the improvement in flash photos (which is something I do pretty often).
