[APP REQUEST] Moto Smart Actions - Droid X Themes and Apps

This is very early since the Droid RAZR hasn't even been released yet, but if there is a way to port it over, I'd love to try out Smart Actions. I've been using Tasker forever, but I'm fickle and the UI looks nice on this.

Once the Droid Razr system gets dump we will see how it goes =P

Here is the APK from the system dump. Its a small file. I couldnt get it to work on the bionic so im assumeing it will not work on the droid x. Seems to have something to do with the BLUR.

I know why it won't work, because the app is not deodexed you need to deodex the app and there are more files than just this. They all start with the word context...

Replacing BlurHome.apk

Hey everyone so i was trying to replace the stock blurhome.apk found on the droid x with the one from the atrix cause i think its cooler than the white ninjablur dock it gives u for the default. However when i tried using ninjamorph to switch it..It would not work...Should I use root explorer or something to replace it or is there a whole process. or is it not possible at all..plz let me know! Thanks
can someone plz answer this i really want to know how to do this
can someone please help me out here!!!!!!!!!
why cant someone plz help me with this!!!!!!
I'd just use root explorer and switch the apps. But why couldn't you just have both installed?
idk that just like doesnt work for some reason
I don't know that you would be able to just swap the apks. They probably have other proprietary apks that they rely on for framework and other services on the phone....
that is true if anyone is up for giving me a tutorial on how to swap out the correct apks in the framework and everything to get this to work I would definately leave a nice big fat paypal donation for you

Are you just looking for the same.color.scheme? Or the actual updated blur? The droid x will.be getting the new version of moto blur with the upcoming gingerbread release in a few weeks.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
im looking for the dock found on the atrix basically and all other motoblur devices
If you just want the blur styled dock found on the Atrix install LauncherPro and LauncherPro Icons and use one of the Moto Blur docks.
Look up HE Launcher ....has a dock similar to the atrix dock

[Request] Droid X/2 keyboard for 2.3+ ROMS

To this day I still believe that the keyboard from the Droid x or Droid 2 is the best keyboard to come out. It has huge keys and is very quick to type on. But for some reason it doesn't play nice with gingerbread roms. I can push the apk/lib file to system and lib on Skyraider 4.3 and it works just fine. But using the exact same method it doesn't work on CM7.
Does anyone have any insight into why this is (because SR4.3 is GB leak based)? Or can someone fix it up for cyanogen? My knowledge on this is pretty limited. Thanks in advance.
Sent from my Incredible Droid.
Skyraider is a 2.2 based rom.
I dint have any other info, sorry, just fyi. I loved that keyboard the most as well but the gingerbread keyboard is almost as good.

i miss that keyboard. someone could pull it from the 2.3 update for the DX and it could work?

You're right my mistake, he just put in some pieces from GB not the base. And the GB is almost as good, but the key size from the X one is what really draws me. Plus I think it looks nice. And yeah that's what I was wondering if it could be pulled out of the update, which is beyond my skill set.

I want this keyboard too. Almost makes me want to go back to older roms just to have the keyboard.

Yeah I know same here. I love CM7 but skyraider is nice just to have it. I'm going to take a closer look at it when I'm back at my computer tonight.

I've been looking for this for months and haven't had any luck. Hopefully someone figures something out.
Until someone finds a fix, I downloaded the keyboard app called MultiLing Keyboard from the market, and seems to work good. the keyboard is almost identical to the droid x keyboard. Also you can change the settings and increase the keys/font size.

Keyboard apk

Hi all I am thinking of getting the Droid x2 and I want to get a feel for the keyboard. Does anyone know where I can get a working Motorola keyboard apk file?
Inspire running gingerbread, not rooted
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
might be able to find it in one of the ROMs over in the Droid X2 forums...

Most likely, It'd require the framework of the DX, sorta like the Sense keyboard

Motorola Droid Bootanimation Medley

Hello everyone
I really like bootanimations from Verizon Droid line, and the fact, that all of them are unique and really cool. But, I think it's kind of sad to have cool animation for a 10-20 seconds and then just loop... So, I decided to make some medley. Picked up 3 best droid animations:
1) Droid 3;
2) Droid Bionic;
3) Droid RAZR;
And put them together, reverse them, made transitions... You can watch my preview to see what I'm talking about. The animation is pretty long (about 1 minute), so if you boot quicker, you may not see all the animation. I've made it for Supercharged 5.2 (big thanks to lfaber06 for this great rom) and it fits this rom perfectly. Works great on Lithium too (I mean, duration, nice work JRW 28).
Also, video has no sound, but the animation itself has.
So, what you have to do:
Option number one
- Download Droid_Medley.zip and rename it to bootanimation.zip
- Download Droid, Bionic and RAZR sounds.
- Put them all to /system/media (rename or replace existing bootanimation.zip).
- Reboot
Option number two
- Download Droid_Medley2.zip and rename it to bootanimation.zip
- Download Droid Medley.ogg
- Put them all to /system/media (rename or replace existing bootanimation.zip).
- Reboot
The animations doesn't differ (except of the script). But the sound does. Number one - three stock sounds for the animations. Number two - hellyeah epic and creepy instrumental by swedish SID-Metal band Machinae Supremacy (track name is Insectoid, from Jets'n'Guns game), I think it fits PERFECTLY.. Animation is pretty heavy (about 24mb).
Enjoy and don't forget to click thanks if you like
That looks great, thanks!

Hope you'll like it even more, then you'll install it
I gotta say - previously I've always been waiting phone's boot like "man, how long is it going to be?". With this animation it's interesting every time Just because it's long and animation varies.

Nice work, I tried the Option 2, and when i went to reboot my phone, while holding the power key the phone rebooted itself without giving me any option (like shut down, flight mode etc), this happened all the time. I am on Lithium, time to restore !
Edit 1: I restored from Sonya ROM to Lithium and used ur MOD, and after facing the issue, restored Lithium again, seems the issue is with the ROM itself
That's really strange, because I've tried it on Lithium.
You sure not flashing it, just replacing the files?

Looks sweet I got to do a mortal combat to fit my boot animation.....
currently just using the RAZR bootanimation on my Atrix 2 but ill try this one out
This is probably late, but this medley is absolutely amazing! Like you said, I am actually looking forward to rebooting my phone now lol. This is awesome thanks! I haven't tried the music though, since I'm not sure I need sound every time I start the phone, and it works fine without.
hi Darth_Reals - nice seeing slavic fellow over here on the forum - warmest greetings from sunny Kishinev over to Moscow and a quick question - do you happen to still have these bootanimation files? Unfortunately all the links in the header navigate to inexisting dropbox pages. Would really appreciate if you upload anew! Many thanks in advance!
How do you get the sound to work i have tried everything any solution ???
Nihar, do you have motorola medley bootanimation files? Can you please share? Thanks!

Nihar,
Try placing bootanimation.ogg file into system/media/audio/notification/
This is what has finally worked for me on Motorola Photon running rooted stock 2.3.4
after trying all other solutions

Help decompiling framework-res.apk?

So, I have been using supercharged V5 for a while and am loving it. However, I have been unable to update to either update one or two without having massive moto fc's.
Eventually I found out that the app I use to change my window animations is what's causing it. Cause the fc's don't happen until I install the animations and reboot. What's weird is that the fc's don't happen on the initial release.
Sooooo, I know that animmod (the app) changes the framework-res.apk for the animations and I'm thinking that maybe if I track down what it changes, I can figure out why it does it on the updates and not the initial.
So I guess I need to decompile the apk. But I have no clue how to do that or what that apk even does.
I'm PC savvy, but Java and Linux are brand new to me. Help would be awesome! I'd love to be able to update and keep the app!

Sweet man I'll give it a whirl!
So you're recommendation led me here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=890199
And this is leading me to believe this is for editing application apk's, not necessarily system apk's?
Or have you used it for that?

I have edited the system apk once before with it.
I'd try 7zip...
Sent from my MB865 using XDA
So I was able to decompile both my current modded framwork-res.apk and the un-modded one straight from supercharged V5.
The differences lie in the "anim" folder. (imagine that?)
All the xml files in the folder are the same except mine (the modded ones) are bigger in size.
What on god's green earth could be changing in the updates that causes all the Moto FC's? Thoughts anyone?
I've attached both of the framework's if someone get's curious or bored. Help would be rad!
